Well,
Where can I start, It was a Friday night in Dublin and after a long weeks work, we met some close friends who were staying at a hotel in Dublin. our friends said they would love to have a Chinese and unlike years ago when we would have said, let's go to Wongs in Ranelagh or Kingsland in Dame Street -which are both now long gone , I could not actually think of a good Chinese in the Dublin 2 area. On walking from Grafton Street towards Georges Street, we came across Ka Shing, on reading a complimentary review from a journalist from the a well known national newspaper which was posted in the front window we entered.
The decor is authentic, we were met by friendly staff and were seated quickly,
our food arrived promptly and the presentation was fantastic, although the restaurant
was only half full, there was a great atmosphere and with a lot of Chinese people
eating there. I think in this day and age , it is great to go to a reasonably priced restaurant with good food instead of over priced restaurants serving average food.
The bill for four including 4 starters/4 desserts/ 2 bottles of wine and two Irish Coffees came to a reasonable 160euro.
On asking the waiter why they were not packed out the door on a Friday night he told me, we are new and still spreading the word. If you like he said, tell your friends.
Well here goes, this is a little jewel in the city which I am sure will be packed every night as soon as the word gets out.
Well done guys !!
