    Beef in black bean sauce

Just stopped in for a lovely lunch this afternoon. Dumplings were absolutely fantastic and the beef in plack bean sauce is ridiculously tasty. Will definitely come back!

    Menu

A fish tank of gold fish greets you upon entering the restaurant where you'll find an assortment of small and large tables. The menu is extensive with some options (e.g., dim sum) only available during certain hours but definitely do inquire as they are more than happy to heat something up for you. The staff wasn't very attentive nor helpful with suggestions. The portion sizes are average and the prices reasonable. Definitely not a place to go out of your way for but a convenient place for authentic Chinese food.

    Hot and sour soup

This place was a surprise as they had genuine Cantonese food. The hot and sour soup have pork and shrimp, and it does not taste very vinegary. The Ong Choi vegetable is a surprise here in dublin. We travel all of Ireland for two weeks and had chinese food a couple of times. A lot of these Chinese restaurants does not have a lot of vegetables dishes. The seafood hot pot is very tasty. If you looking for authentic Cantonese Chinese restaurant, I recommend yiu try this one. See attached pictures on the dishes we ordered.

Very apt name for such an opulent venue! Everywhere you look there are chandeliers, gilded furniture, crystal and glass - there's even a gold encrusted menu... (disappointingly, the bathrooms are plain, was hoping for a golden throne at the least, but never mind...) This is the first time I've had yum cha / dim sum in Dublin, after spending many a Sunday in the US and Australia indulging. This was a pretty decent version, although there are no trolleys tempting you into new things, which is a ritual I do enjoy in other countries, though on the other hand, at least this way you are less likely to over-indulge! The food was all of a good standard, and the service was decent. It's a different type of Sunday brunch - you won't find no eggs Benedict around here - and definitely worth giving a lash! I'd like to return for an evening meal too as I'm sure the standard would be just as sound.

Great dim sum at reasonable prices (approx €4 a dish) and friendly service, which is pretty unexpected in a traditional Chinese restaurant. The place has also been spruced up to look opulent, slightly bordering on tacky ;) Definitely be back for more dim sum goodies. For the uninitiated, order the har gow, siu mai, char siu bao and har cheong fun. No chicken feet surprises! You're welcome. *wiggle*

Best of a limited selection of Chinese restaurants in Dublin. Not as atrociously expensive as others.

Food taste is OK. Size is quite small. They charge 10% service fee without telling you.

They always keep space for walk-ins and we were able to snag a seat for just enough time to have the All In for 2. You essentially get small plates of EVERYTHING on the menu to share, and for €20 per person, we figured why the hell not? The food was delicious from start to finish and absolutely worth the gracious price point. The service was quick and friendly and we were walked thru each dish as it arrived. The portions were perfect for the two of us and we left full and happy for a night of drinking whiskey around town. When I came back on my own for the second time, I was both thrilled and surprised that the All In for 1 was a massive amount of food for one person. The first few dishes had similar servings sizes as we got for 2 people, with the dumplings and onion pancake being halved. Again, I ate very well and was entirely ready for the rest of my night out after. Now: this is NOT traditional dim sum, but it's still fabulous dumplings and related small bites. I could eat an entire jar of the kimchi on its own. The peanut slaw is unusual but tasty. And now I'm writing this review I don't remember what it was called -- but it was a toasted dumpling of some kind with pancetta???? To die for !! Things to know: they'll never have a phone number and, like much of Ireland, the hours online are generally a suggestion so plan to either book a reservation online or swing by and poke your head in. The dining space is VERY small, so be prepared to get cozy with your table neighbors.

We ordered their homemade dumplings which was boiled dipped in a special soy sauce. Veggies, beef, seafood, pork were all very good. Saw many folks ordering their hotpot which essentially is a boiling clay pot with veggies and your choice of protein . Tea and beer were reasonable. Simple decor and just table and chairs laid out. I do recommend this place if you're looking for delicious Chinese food without breaking the bank!

Best genuine Chinese we've had in Dublin. Heck, it's probably up there too if it were in LA…read more We were famished after a 2.5 hr movie at the Savoy on O'Connell and Chinese places were the only ones still open at 10:30pm. It's what we would've wanted anyway, but by the time we walked over, it was 10:45. There was only 1 other table still there and we were still greeted warmly, as we sheepishly popped our head in. We were presented with Chinese menus, which were not an issue for me, but my husband doesn't read Chinese. No problem, they had English menus as well. I noticed that the Chinese menu had a lot of 家常菜 or 'homestyle dishes', (at roughly 14-20 Euros) which are usually meant for sharing as a 4-top, or a family. Therefore, they're a bit more labor intensive and is not just a stir-fry/takeout menu. However, on the last few pages, there were smaller individual dishes at around 7-10Euros, and that's what we went with as we didn't want leftovers and wanted to eat quickly and turn in. As shown in the photos, we got 2 noodle soups and they turned out huge!!! I got the 3 seafood with mushrooms rice thick noodles (三鮮菇米線)while hubby got the beef noodle soup (牛肉麵). They didn't skimp on the meats, seafood, or the noodles. We devoured everything in roughly 10 minutes and polished off the pot of tea plus some lamb skewers by 11:05. The staff didn't seem bothered that we had overstayed closing time, and were still very courteous. I may be biased bc I very much love getting stuffed on noodles and soups, but this was one of the best meals I've had in Europe.

Whether it is or not, they staff are lovely. One thing I love about Chinese restaurants is that you can always tell if it is a good, authentic one or not - simply by the people in there. If there are a lot of Chinese people eating in here, chances are it's a very good sign. Needless to say, there are always a lot of locals in here, and this totally does the place justice. But my favourite part of the restaurant is the little gold cat in the window that waves its arm up and down all day long. I always make the hilarious joke that it must be 'so tired from all that waving.' Ha...not!

There is a flat screen tv that seems to be on perennially airing the latest news/talk show from Asia. I caught a few minutes of a somewhat scary talk show in which a guest was discussing her love of arson, but I digress. We ordered a lunchtime feast of dumplings(bargain at 2e for 10 and they were edible, too). I was not a huge fan of the slight curry powder taste, but they were okay. We also had a good scallion pancake, Kung po chicken and noodles with pork. Everything was decent quality, but the waitress warned us that the Kung po was spicy - we said "bring on the spice". How disappointed we were when there was not a red pepper flake or chilli in sight. The ingredients were fine, the dish was fine, but expectations were dashed.
