Much better than I remembered. Went for lunch, could not resist ordering dim sum. Tried several of the dumpling dishes, aimed for more unique flavors, as well as a couple of my traditional favorites. The steamed pork buns were excellent, a good ratio of pork (which was also well prepared) to bun. Had to order fried pork croquettes, my guilty pleasures, which were okay but not world changing. The royal dumplings were probably the surprise hit, a really nice flavor. Also pork shumai was cooked perfectly. The only dumpling I would not order again were the seafood treasure, which while not bad I found the dumpling skin a little chewy. Overall, an excellent dim sum experience. Food 4 stars. Service 3 stars. $15 minimum per person. Hard stop. Bustling restaurant with a vast menu including dim sum. We didn't want a ton of food as we have no where to keep it in our hotel. The photo is our leftovers that we can't take. All in all a solid choice and probably a 3.5 in total. Toilets are downstairs and had no towels. The food... delicious. Another legit Chinese resto in Dublin. The duck was to die for and their siu mai was one of the best I've ever had anywhere.

Was greeted and seated promptly. The service is okay, they sit you down take your order and bring you your food, and then bring you your check when you are done. No checking in on you during your meal to see how you are doing or if you need anything. The ambiance of the restaurant is very upbeat and comfortable. It feels like you are in China, with the decor & so many Asian families gathered together and enjoying their meals. Now onward to the food! I ordered steamed shrimp dumplings, these were very delicious and traditional tasting! Each bite brought me comfort! For my main meal, I ordered Kung Pao chicken which was very flavorful and appetizing! It came with (fried rice) so they say, but it seemed more like Jasmine rice to me! the meal was very comforting, and I left not a single crumb! This is a delicious and authentic establishment! The food here while it may be authentic , was not good to me. I felt like I was being judged the whole time I was there for some reason. You also have to order a minimum per person. Service was extremely slow, and I thought we were going to have to get the waiter for our check before I finally got him to let us pay. We had chicken chow mein, potstickers and chicken with orange sauce. Potstickers tasted like cooking oil. Ate two and couldn't stomach anymore. read more

A fish tank of gold fish greets you upon entering the restaurant where you'll find an assortment of small and large tables. The menu is extensive with some options (e.g., dim sum) only available during certain hours but definitely do inquire as they are more than happy to heat something up for you. The staff wasn't very attentive nor helpful with suggestions. The portion sizes are average and the prices reasonable. This place was a surprise as they had genuine Cantonese food. The hot and sour soup have pork and shrimp, and it does not taste very vinegary. The Ong Choi vegetable is a surprise here in dublin. We travel all of Ireland for two weeks and had chinese food a couple of times. A lot of these Chinese restaurants does not have a lot of vegetables dishes. The seafood hot pot is very tasty. Had the pleasure of dining at Ka Shing last night ( Friday ) , and the Experience was fantastic ! The hostess recommended 2 seafood dishes ( Geo Duck & Razor Clams) and to our delight they were excellent and really fresh ! I am back again for the fourth time, first time in 2021. I ordered the same dishes that I liked the first time (dim sum dishes, sticky rice in lotus leaves, combination fried rice, and kai lan) and two new dim sum dishes (scallops rice rolls and cold chicken feet). The cold chicken feet was my first time and was unexpectedly tasty since I have had only the boneless steam version. We ate here on Sunday afternoon for my sons 18th birthday. We had a large selection of Dim Sum and a few classic dishes also, the shredded duck pancakes were inhaled by the youngest while for me the best dish was the Green Beans, delicious. Indeed, this place is super legit, and is as close to HK home cooking I'll get anywhere. I was close to tears when I realized they even had ginger pork feet, like WUT! Very apt name for such an opulent venue! Everywhere you look there are chandeliers, gilded furniture, crystal and glass - there's even a gold encrusted menu... (disappointingly, the bathrooms are plain, was hoping for a golden throne at the least, but never mind...) This is the first time I've had yum cha / dim sum in Dublin, after spending many a Sunday in the US and Australia indulging. This was a pretty decent version, although there are no trolleys tempting you into new things, which is a ritual I do enjoy in other countries, though on the other hand, at least this way you are less likely to over-indulge! The food was all of a good standard, and the service was decent. It's a different type of Sunday brunch - you won't find no eggs Benedict around here - and definitely worth giving a lash! After a long day of sight seeing, my wife was craving some Chinese food with rice! We were hoping for some chinese BBQ from the pictures, but they were sold out for the day. Looks like they have a busy crowd for lunch for their dim sum. Dinner is still packed but we were able to get seated immediately. We ordered their special salt prawns, the spicy fried chicken and a stir fried choy. Of the dishes came out quickly and perfectly seasoned. Great dim sum at reasonable prices (approx €4 a dish) and friendly service, which is pretty unexpected in a traditional Chinese restaurant. Found this place after a long daytrip to Cliffs of Mohr. I was excited to see they serve dim sum, you just have to ask for this menu. We arrived later in the evening and some of the dim sum items weren't available after 6pm...not sure why. Nevertheless, we ordered our usual dishes that we get in NYC and Boston Chinatown. We were very impressed about the freshness and taste, did not taste like it was frozen and reheated! Very similar to back home (Chinatown NYC) taste! Portions were traditional, soups were enough to share for 2. If you ask for the dim sum menu, you will find more of the traditional chinese dishes (stuff my dad would order for me). Looking from the outside you might just take this place as another dingy Chinese restaurant in town. That's certainly not the case though - this one is slightly fancier and more expensive. The food is your standard westernised Chinese fare, though markedly pricier than the usual. The food does seem of higher quality however so it's not a huge issue. The interior is what sells it. This place looks like an upscale restaurant pulled straight out of Hong Kong. If you're looking for a decent Chinese place on the south side after a long day of shopping then this is probably your best bet. read more

I think this is the best Chinese I've had in Dublin. Four of us came here on a Sunday afternoon for Dim Sum, luckily we had Mr Tim L. to do all the ordering. We had a really great variety of dishes and they were all around the €4 mark. I lost track of how much we had, but by the end I was stuffed and the bill only came to €16 (incl tip!). Walking in, I thought I had inadvertently walked into Liberace's living room, the place is gilt to the nines, palatial style, which isn't my taste at all but I got over it pretty quickly. One plus side to the scale of the place, is that you can easily seat a group of 8 at a lovely round table down the back and can all see each other (conducive to good chats)! I ordered the steamed sea bass with ginger, a HUGE delicious fish cooked whole, head on! It eyeballed me the entire time I was eating, but it was gorgeous, well cooked and tasty. They'll fillet it for you if you prefer, but I didn't really mind. :) Friends who go here a lot swear by the dumplings, but I don't really know what makes a good one, so can't comment on them! Went in at 8:25pm and was greeted by a very unwelcoming and reluctant waiter with a sour face and a very typical "westerners style chinese takeaway" menu full of over priced dishes.. Myself and my better half were in the mood to try different tastes and the small size of dim sums and the relatively affordable price would have given us the chance to try many dishes staying below 40 per person. The place was half empty and they welcomed us in very kindly. They set up the table and brought us water while we were given the time to check the menu. No dim sum in the menu. I could remember the dim sum menu was on the wall outside of the restaurant so I asked the waiter for the dim sum menu. The smile disappeared from his face and he rudely took the main menú from my hands and left me there without saying anything else. He came back few minutes later with the dim sum menu. He didn't give it to me at first. He opened it in front of me pointing at items in the menu listing the dim sums that were not available. almost half of them. The tone of his voice was quite rude and I had the impression he was challenging me to order something. We felt really unconfortable and we decided to leave the place without ordering. Last time I visited this restaurant it was called Millennium. Food was great back then. It has since had an extravagant Asian style make over. Ask for the dim sum menu when you call in here. The prices are fantastic and the quality of the food is amazing. 13 of us were here for dinner. The table was large, plenty of room and the staff were well able to cope with a large group. Then I was told that I shouldn't have ordered such a dish, Why I was not informed when I ordered it from the waiter? Just one small meal dish and a bowl of rice cost me nearly 20 euro for lunch, was such a ripped off.
