This job, as all the others, was done meticulously. He cleaned out the crack, installed drywall screws and mesh, applied coats of mud and texture, then cleaned up well. Provided instructions on how to sand, prime and paint including photos of the the best primer and recommended sanding block. Scott focuses on his work, completes it quickly and it is perfection. The manager also called back twice to make sure we were happy with the job. Although I missed those voice messages I figure posting about my experience here will make up for that. It's always tough when you are trying to hang a new door on an old frame that may not be perfectly straight anymore. And yes only time will tell if the fit holds. We also had them remove a couple of large entry columns and unneeded primary closet shelving and they did a great job with the drywall. I had told Val that we didn't need level 5 drywall on the primary closet walls as we are planning to have large Ikea PAX wardrobes that will be covering the walls. I overheard Daniel tell her that it didn't matter if the walls would be covered as it is reflective of their quality of work and they always have to do their best, especially being a family business. Amazing commitment, and dedication. One of the bedrooms had been painted GREEN on the walls AND ceiling and they were able to cover the obtrusive color with no show-through. Another bedroom used to be baby-poo-mustard color and again, no show-through. Their prep work is very thorough and admirable. All of the window blinds were expertly rehung with no problems. We hired Daniel & his crew to fix some drywall damage and paint the interior of our home. We did…read morethe project in two stages, first repairing the drywall & painting the living areas & second, the bedrooms & bathrooms. The first stage of drywall repair was great & the living areas were finished with good quality, promptness & fairly clean. The second stage was miserable. We prepped the house by moving & covering furniture & removing lights and switch plates. We planned to stay in an AirBnB for five days, 2 days longer than originally promised. On the third work day, I dropped in to find NO ONE there and half the project finished. After calling the lead guy (who was handling family tasks), I was told the job would be finished on Friday (5 days). We booked the AirBnB for two more days. No one ever called again. I walked in Friday afternoon to find everything finished aside from equipment sitting in our backyard. Only after I texted with Daniel did I learn they had finished on Thursday and was promised the equipment would be picked up Monday. Over the last few days we have found many disappointing issues. Some walls were only painted with one coat with the old color still showing through. All the trim was sprayed (not hand-painted like the first stage) so there was overspray dust everywhere, overspray drops on our furniture, tile & accessories. Some trim was not even painted and some only had a single half-brushed coat. While I have reached out to Daniel & he offered to fix the mistakes, my faith in their workmanship is gone. I understand there were family issues to deal with but there was little to no communication during (or after) the process. At $2.15 per square foot we paid a fair price for a job that started as a an excellent value and ended with more work left behind.

My house was ridden with random wall holes in almost every room that seemed to grow every year. In…read moreaddition, I had a prior contractor move a pass through door and subsequently made it way too narrow, so narrow that only a skinny adult or small child could squeeze through. My poor shoulders literally got scratched walking through. Dave and Daren performed the following projects: widened the small doorway and fixed shoddy prior work, patched 8 electrical cut out boxes (old cable/lan lines/tv hidden wire boxes), ceiling light move hole patched, big 10x20" cutout from a plumbing project, float out old drywall repair that had a big vertical seam. He was highly skilled at the patchwork, sheetrock installation/mudding/taping/texture spraying. I appreciated how quickly they worked and the quality of every job. A lot of the work was detailed but also technical in terms of fixing that doorway. They nailed it. In addition, Dave arrived promptly at 7:00am each day as promised, did an immaculate job taping and containing the areas in plastic to ensure no overspray got on my stuff. He also did a wonderful job cleaning up! I recommend giving him a call if you need work done.
