Mezze Cookie Butter (Biscoff) Acai Strawberry Matcha Latte Peach & Pistachio Matcha Latte

Some of the best food I've had in NYC. Staff were so helpful and patient at explaining the menu to me and recommending dishes. Definitely coming back more often! 10/10

Their acai bowl is so fresh, colorful, and filled with quality and healthy ingredients. I think this might be one of my favorite acai bowls I've had. Their Gold Coast sunset smoothie is also tasty.

This is a 4.5 star review Alas, the influencers got me and I found myself at Kadamba Kafe today. This place is really well documented online. Lots of influencer partnerships. But that would really only be a problem if the food wasn't good. Thankfully, it is! Kadamba Kafe is adorned outside with some happy yellow furniture and beautiful sidewalk chalk. It's quite a bit more unassuming when you walk in, but the staff were incredibly soft and I felt instantly calm upon entering. It was pretty slow when I got there around 12:15 on a Friday, but picked up as time went on. They have a great selection of vegan and plant centric dishes, with, what seemed like multiple cultures of food represented. I was initially inspired to come here because of the drinks and I was not disappointed. I'm a matcha hater, but I had to try this strawberry matcha ($9) and I really liked it! I also got a cheese and tomato toastie ($10) that I could not stop taking bites of. I was pleasantly surprised by everything, even if I was simultaneously wishing there was a little more style to the decor. One thing I noticed is the that the building is connected to a cultural dance center nextdoor. Certainly not a problem, but you'll likely hear loud rumbling consistently throughout your time here (dancers I think), so keep that in mind if you're trying to work here.

Grabbed the acai bowl as a light dessert after having dinner in the area. The cafe was pretty empty at that time, and had a nice and cozy ambiance. The bowl was loaded, and had so many fresh and tasty ingredients! Would definitely come back for the bowl (and doesn't hurt that it was so beautifully presented)

This was maddeningly delicious. I feel like it's rare nowadays that i call food beautiful but like look at this acai bowl what other word could you use to describe it. Also never had an acai bowl so unique and truly flavorful with so many diff components. Spiced granola and a crazy butter of sorts idek what it was but it was so good i was scraping the bowl. The tofu sandwich was also INCREDIBLE and the potato wedges were some of the best fried potato derivative i've had in my life. U must come!!!!

My friend and I had a really odd experience and it's sad because we were so excited to try this place out. The smoothie I got was actually pretty good, but the service was off. For starters, we were told the kitchen was closed for food but that wasn't the case. My friend asked multiple times about what's in the food because she has a nut allergy and the person up front didn't seem knowledgeable about the ingredients. It also seemed like they were more interested in servicing/helping other patrons in the restaurant. Overall I think it impacted our experience.

Where taste means art & heart I love the food, the artistry and the ambience The food is delicious, healthy but filling. I also enjoy the live music they have on Fridays and Saturdays.

The food and pressed drinks were soooo good! The staff was nice and the location was in a seemingly safe and clean area. However, i do have a nut allergy and they weren't very knowledgeable about what had nuts in it and what didn't, also nothing was labeled which made it the experience a little underwhelming

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

I have wanted to try this spot for some time, and wound up a bit disappointed with what I tried…read more They feature a tahini cold brew, which features two things I love dearly, but instead of a rich cold brew it was overly sweet and icy--more like a slushie. Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
