I reached out to 502 Construction via Yelp, and Ted, the owner, responded directly to me and came out to look at our issue firsthand before giving us a quote. It meant so much to be able to talk to him about this from the start. The stone facade on a back wall in our garden had fallen off, due to water getting behind the stone and freezing. We also wanted to add a brick topper to that wall, to match the wall on the other side of our back yard, and we wanted a metal railing added to the length to prevent anyone from falling off the side of the wall, which abuts our parking pad. Ted's bid was fair, and when he started the work, he was at our house everyday (excluding a couple of days due to bad weather) until it was complete. He was communicative and receptive throughout. And his work more than met our expectations. He had to individually measure and cut maybe 100 bricks so that the topper would work with the incline of the wall. He went a couple of places to find brick that would match brick we already had at our house, and he cut and welded the railing on site. We still need to paint the railing, but it is night and day better compared to what it was. (I will be sure to add before-and-after photos once it is 100% complete.) Ted is going on our list of contractors to have handy and to recommend to all who will listen.

Very late that day, he texted that they would arrive after stopping for a quick dinner. Although it was dark, he and his team began shoveling. They did a great job of clearing my walkway and driveway. The fee was as he had quoted me during our call. I felt lucky to have found Nick. Based on the services I received, I felt the price was fair, and the work was good.
