Ryan Kennedy is the personal trainer I see at 360 degree fitness. Ryan is motivational, inspirational and very dedicated to seeing you succeed. This is the first time in my life where I really want to go to the gym and work out and am not dragging my feet waiting for it to be over. I've worked out with trainers before, but no one compares to Ryan. He can articulate which muscle you are working and why. The routines are never the same and are always designed for your personal needs. He always check to see if you have any soreness or injuries and tailors/adjusts anything as needed. I have been going for about a year now (though inconsistently at times as I travel quite a bit for work) but I have gained strength, toned up and even dropped numerous dress sizes. I am so happy with the results and look forward to continued achievements! Because the trainers are so skilled they train everyone from people on the US Olympic bicycle team or military personnel to people recovering from injuries or everyday joes like myself looking to be healthier etc I highly recommend 360 fitness.

Great prices for awesome personal training that you can't beat!…read more The trainers, Fred and Ryan, have the expertise (degrees and awards) to back up what they do in determining your fitness goals (physical and nutritional) and get you there! Free training assessment for physical goals which includes taking a look at your food log and determining nutritional goals and where you can improve. Workouts consist of one-on-one training and each workout is different and provide the right muscle confusion. Circuit Classes are also available to rev things up! The classes are fast paced core and strength training workouts. I have seen Fred and Ryan work with young kids assisting them in improving sports mechanics (basketball and tennis) and I have seen him work with the older crowd (Whoops, that's me!) helping them rehabilitate from injuries. I recently recovered from a broken leg and 360 Degree Fitness trainers (Fred and Ryan) supplemented my physical therapy and helped me regain my balance and my confidence in using my healed broken bone and tendons. Whatever your training goals are (body-building, Olympic athlete, military training, or just maintenance) Fred and Ryan will ensure that you will reach your sweat and muscle potential. Check it out!!

Located inside the Carte Hotel with two floors of state-of-the-art everything...plus reserved parking across the street (a miracle in Little Italy). The staff? Superstars. Mitchell, Eli, Morgan, Monica, Jasmine, Nat, Asia, Jen, and the FIT gang made me feel welcomed! It's got indoor/outdoor turf, a pool, a hot tub, and equipment that looks straight out of a sci-fi movie. It's high-tech yalls! Views of Downtown and Little Italy? Chef's kiss. They've got eucalyptus steam rooms, fresh towels, spacious lockers and showers, and even grab-and-go drinks and snacks. I basically never want to leave. Group classes are where it's at: yoga, HIIT, dance, and even reformer Pilates (yes, I feel fancy). Booking through the app is a breeze. The gym is always clean, never overcrowded, and yes people wipe down machines. Germaphobes, rejoice! Worth it? Because health is wealth and this place makes fitness feel like luxury. My home away from home. Cheers to hitting your fitness goals!

I called to get more information on their program and tell them what I was looking to work on. Unfortunately the owner was on vacation and distracted when he took my call. We still managed to communicate. I came in for information session and decided to join later. I bought the 10 class package which included nutrition guidance. Alright here it goes: The good: Small intimate gym. Their good at what they do. Good personal trainer, shout out to Kamila! I learned a lot about my body, strength, muscles, lack of strength in 10 sessions. I now have enough information to workout properly on my own. I had a couple injuries and they managed to work around them- again very competent staff. The price per session is on the lower end for the area. The bad: They don't have easy/modern scheduling system. One day I showed up and had no trainer! there had been some miscommunication over coverage which goes back to my previous (point). It can get crowded with even just four people and loud depending on the day. Never received nutrition guidance, I reached out a few times and felt like I was chasing the owner. They don't wipe machines/mats before use. In the end you can do a lot with a little bit, but it shouldn't be at the inconvenience of clients. $85 per session is not a little bit of money. They definitely need some updates on how they operate and schedule clients sessions.

I went from doing zero push-ups to knocking out 40 classic push-ups in a session. My leg strength also shot up, which really showed in my Peloton rides at home and Spark Cycle classes. Aesthetically, I finally saw my lower back slim down, and overall, I just felt stronger in every way. From day one, Richard was super personable and easy to talk to. He made me feel completely comfortable trying new exercises (which can be intimidating), and he had a knack for knowing when to push me to the next level or when to dial it back for safety -- all without ever making me feel like I was failing. I've never worked harder in the gym, yet I've also never had more fun doing it. This gym -- and this level of personal service -- is an absolute gem. Sadly, I had to move out of state, and in searching for a private gym, NOTHING has come close to what Hawk Fitness offers, rates included. If you want results and a trainer who will cheer you on every step of the way, you can't go wrong with Richard at Hawk Fitness

Conveniently located on First Street and accessible 24 hours, the gym is clean and well-maintained. Occupying the entire ground floor of a building, it has a feeling of spaciousness about it. Doors that open to the small patio area, along with ceiling fans, enable good air circulation throughout the space. Fellow gym-goers are friendly and always willing to engage when you approach them about routines or exercises. No attitude at this place whatsoever. People are genuinely happy to share their successes and reflections on their own self-journeys to fitness, which makes the gym feel like not only a place the place where you can go to work out, but also a place where you can continually learn from other gym enthusiasts about ways to improve your own focus on physical improvement. A sense of a community among people with a common interest in health and fitness, and a willingness to share it, are two of of the most unique and notable characteristics of this gym. The owner, Keith Deidrich, pays meticulous attention to the gym's layout and functionality, resulting in a nice rotation of machines and weights throughout the space. It's exciting to come in to find a new machine, such as the very impressive cable crossover set up, complete with high bars for dead-hangs and pull-ups, or a one-of-a-kind lat pull-over machine that requires the force of your elbows, placed on pads and pushing down, to accomplish the exercise. It's like a squat machine for the upper body. In addition to the machines and freeweights, the gym has add-on weight blocks in gradations of two-and-a-half pounds that are custom-made to be inserted on top of the machine pulley racks to increase the resistance in smaller increments when the built-in 10- or 15-pound increases are too much of a step-up. Being able to use these blocks has enabled me to slowly increase the amount I'm lifting without making a jump up to a higher weight that is just too heavy. And there are plenty of cardio machines as well. In short, this neighborhood-centered gym with its relaxed vibe, excellent equipment, and friendly and respectful members makes working out a highlight of my daily schedule.

They constantly put on their stories that machines are fixed, all to be back to being broken within a few days. Perhaps ownership should stop being cheap and buying refurbished / used machines and actually invest new machines, not spray painted black. We can tell they're from planet fitness. I know they're working into expanding into Las Vegas and did already in San Antonio but quickly neglect and forget about the original gym in San Diego. The environment has shifted towards making everyone believe they're an influencer in the gym. Everywhere you turn, there's either a male or female with a tripod recording their workouts, or dudes walking around shirtless all sweaty and getting machines, simply unhygienic. I hope ownership takes constructive criticism and doesn't throw a tantrum on instagram claiming this is a fake review and otherwise, because I am sure others feel the same sentiment. All of the bathrooms are out of date. Everything just felt dirty. The machines that are designed by the owner have potential but don't work for every body size/length. Sometimes you couldn't go heavy because you'd just lift out of the seat. No good benches at all. The dumbbells are such a huge grip and narrow widths Lots of tripods The turf was really not well kept. No parking, not the best area in San Diego.
