Amazing and tasty jerky. I bought the variety pack salmon and tuna, along with the Hawaiian vinegar sauce.

I get it, tourists can be very annoying, but I wish it didn't feel like we were burdening her for coming here to support a local business. . Anyways! Didn't take it personal. The chef/owner was very focused in the back preparing new cuts of the poke and even helped out the very overwhelmed lady in taking orders. He was extremely kind and apologized that they were out of any salmon. So definitely aim to be here earlier in the day because they may run out of different choices when you come! All good still! We got 2 large bowls with 2 choices each of the proteins. Flavors we got: (PS all the poke was extremely soft and tongue-melting, super delicious) Hawaiian Style Ahi - Slightly sweet Spicy Ahi - Good kick, not extremely spicy at all! Cali Roll Ahi - Loved the ingredients mashed with this one. Refreshing taste and creamy, my fav one. Shoyu Ahi - Saucey and smooth. Proteins at the bottom, sides at the top row. Paid after they made our bowls.

It's a family owned business and everyone was super nice. It was a go and pick up kind of place but I do believe there may be picnic tables you can sit outside at. Also it's good to know Costco is literally right down the street. Also know this place does sell out fast, so the earlier you can get here the better!

Kona Seafood Market gets an absolute 5 stars from me!…read more The fish here was super fresh! They sell a fantastic selection of raw fish and poke. We picked up some poke along with rice and pickled veggies for our sides, and every single bite was sooo fresh and delicious. It's a great little small mom-and-pop shop, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. On top of that, the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. If you're looking for top-notch, incredibly fresh seafood and delicious poke without the high tourist markup, this place is a must-visit!

The gentlemen working were amazing and after letting them know that I have a nut allergy, they made a whole new batch of poke so that I could have a bowl! They were very kind and did not have a second thought on making the poke to make sure I had a taste of their poke. They ended up slicing a whole new fish for me and If that doesn't show you their hospitality, then you need to see it yourself. Their fish was so fresh (ahi tuna), and the lomi lomi salmon was super refreshing. My girlfriend had the same meal but what they already had chopped up and she said it was just as fresh as the one they made for me. Definitely one of my favorite spots on the Kona side for poki and for their hospitality. 11/10 would come again!

This was not only the worst retail experience in all my years living in Hawai'i, it was the worst…read moreshopping experience ever. I don't say that lightly, nor am I exaggerating. When I came into the shop, the owner was helping the only other customer there. I walked around and found some bottles of what I was looking for in the back, where a woman was wrapping baskets. She made no eye contact with me, and didn't offer a greeting. I remained in the back for over five minutes, repeatedly looking at her and trying to get her attention, but she refused to engage. I returned to the front, where the owner had finished cashing out that one customer and was chatting with him. He made no acknowledgement of my existence for at least another five minutes. The other customer then left and the owner finally asked what he could do for me. I said that I just wanted some help. He told me that it was a very busy time of year (note: at this point I was the only customer in the shop, previously there were two, including myself), and that I need to have patience. This felt like a highly passive aggressive thing to say. But I desperately wanted a certain liqueur for my husband, so I ignored the comment and checked out the bottles. He left me in the back to help another customer. By the time I returned to the cash register with my bottle of choice, he had just started to cash her out. A "she's been waiting, would it be okay if I assist her" might have been nice and what I would have done but I let that slide too. The customer left and he started cashing me out. Being one who's both honest and upfront, I told him that I understand both being busy and patient, I'm an elementary school teacher with Hawai'i DOE; the customer service was deeply lacking, and that I had thought the woman in the back didn't even work there, but rather was a volunteer. He repeated his line about it being a busy time of year (at this point I think there were three customers, including myself, but not including the distributor near the register). I said something to the effect of, "too busy wrapping baskets to even greet a customer," and reminded him of my very busy job. The owner then asked me to leave. As I was walking out I heard him tell the distributor that this had never happened before, but if you look through previous reviews, there are complaints about this woman. Ultimately the owner did me a huge favor. The bottle I was going to buy retails for $45-$52, he was selling it for $79. Another bottle that he was listing for $87, a competitor had for $64. Extremely greedy in addition to rude? All of DOE will hear about this experience!
