It was early morning and they had a couple different choices of musubi flavors which surprised me. There is a few parking spaces in front of the store, as well as a few parking stalls to the side of the building. The Honalo convenience store features Shell gasoline, and I gotta tell you folks............for a store that serves gas in a remote area, the prices here are pretty good, as I saw a sign for $3.28 for regular gas. When I was returning my rental car, and filled up gas at a Tesoro gas station (near the Costco area), I actually paid a little less at $3.20 per gallon, but considering gas sold at an area where it's remote, the prices for the gas at the Honalo convenience store is not bad at all.

The mechanic repaired it for 500.00. Auto tech said I had to have it towed to them but I couldn't tow it again.

I am furious about how I was treated by the gas station attendant at this gas station earlier…read moretoday. I pulled up to the pump, put my credit card in, pumped gas, and had gotten into my car to drive away when the attendant came running out to me. She said that I needed to pay for my gas. I told her I had, but followed her inside anyways. I asked her to double check that she was not charging me twice. She told me that "you don't get charged when you don't put your card in." I was taken aback, I couldn't believe that she insinuated that I tried to steal gas. Gas pumps usually don't give gas unless they've read a card. She made two more comments implying that I was a thief as we were making the transaction. I am livid. I will never stop at this gas station again, and I will be sure that the management knows that the attendant is out of line. She could have handled the situation in a polite manner by saying "I'm sorry, the machine did not read your card," rather than attacking my moral decency.

While hundreds of cars passed with no one asking if we are ok/need help etc...Mac Pulled over asking what we need. I explained I didn't have money in me (he wasn't concerned) I will be paying shortly...he towed our car out of harms way...he jumped the battery but it was to weak (our battery) to accept a charge/start our Miata. He explained/physically helped push start the car. Without his help, I was at a severe loss and ready to give up. Can't say enough good things. He has great energy.
