If you ever have to retain an attorney in Atlanta for personal injury DO NOT call Kaine Law. They wrote a check knowingly putting the wrong name on my settlement check because they are broke and intended to create "hoops" for me to jump through to get paid. And what's amazing is this was my retained representation. I emailed the person who handed me the check and for a week I was ignored. I had to email two more times, and include Evan Kaine to even get a response from my attorney. To no surprise what she did was deflect and try to say she thought someone else responded. POOR COMMUNICATION. Then, the excuses and deflecting continued. I request a wire or ACH and had to email twice, again including Evan Kaine to get Liza Park, the attorney to respond. She fed me a lie and she didn't realize I was an accountant for many years and I quickly informed her of the misinformation. I did learn that Evan Kaine is the only person authorized to sign checks and is allegedly on vacation out of the country. There is nor was there a backup plan or a person authorized to sign as a backup or temporarily. So basically when Evan Kaine is gone and if there is some catastrophic emergency and funds needs to be distributed immediately there is no way this could happen. That's unlikely and could be an audit exception. So, far they've ignored me, lied twice to deflect, now they said they could wire or ACH money when Evan Kaine returns and signs the form. But then, when I said it can be initiated without a wet signature if he emails and authorizes it. The email is considered secure and a valid signature. Then the story change when I called that out now Evan Kaine has to do it himself in the banking portal online. Then, they again deflected and said the IP address may cause the ACH to not go through. Wait, you're logging into a secure banking portal and doing the ACH through the secure portal. That was a bullcrap excuse and I called my bank as well as their bank to verify. Then, they made me pay to have the check they originally issued delivered to them. So now they have me spending my own money to fix their problem. Then, the bookkeeper takes over and tries to buy more time and deflect by saying Kaine hasn't responded. So you went on vacation being the only signer to funds and aren't available and didn't put a plan in place? LIES. or a clear indication of how shop is run and how they treat clients. It's been going on for almost two weeks and still no settlement from them that is valid. I am lead to believe they're broke and buying time to get money and are doing this intentionally as retaliation because they also mishandled my fathers case and made him drop a case because he is Latino and lives in a white area and a jury trial would side with the white defendants. I would not refer these people to any one. They did not help me, an left me roadblock after roadblock in trying to figure out my medical bills. After 6 months of me asking them to do something specific, they then have the receptionist call me and desperately tell me they have to close the case and move on telling me this is the best deal I will ever get. Leaving the health care provider confused and leaving me with work I don't have time to do. Then in another slap to the face asked me to leave a yelp review trying to win a bet in the office. This company accepted my case in NYC however they eventually dropped me. They have zero presence in NY state and also were unaware of NY statutes. Advice from me is to retain them for GA cases only and I am sure they will be fine, avoid out of state because they have little experience and will be given the runaround by much more experienced attorneys and insurance companies. My experience thus far has been absolutely horrific... It's has been 9 months, and I have been waiting on a settlement that I signed on over 48 days ago. All I have gotten is excuses, deflection, and fake promises. They did not fight for me at all, and they even refused to include my lost wages (I was told that insurance companies don't usually pay lost wages if you are a Uber driver - Really?), or the Detached Retina of my left eye due to the accident. Ultimately, I had to settle for a fraction of what my case was worth. Also, they talk over you or hang up on you if you ask the wrong question, or get upset when you discover that they have with-held information about your very own case. It's like they want you to just walk away without any answers, and blindly trust them because they told you to do so. Literally, in the past 3 months, the only time I am updated on something new, is if I repetitively call and leave multiple voicemails, and they have only returned a fraction of my emails. I don't know how all of this is going to ultimately turn out, but it has gotten worse not better. What was supposed to take 10 to 14 days has become 10 to 48 days, and counting. In the past week we have gone from: Check in the Mail - Late Check - Check Sent to Wrong Address - Lost Check - Maybe they will Over-night Check (But, No Promises). Update: This response is not factual, I have not received all of my money and Kaine law has proven to be a very deceptive law firm... at least 5 of their reviews are written by people who work in their offices, and it looks like they have hidden all of their negative reviews (Wow, I did not know that they could do this), I suppose this review is not visible as well. Kaine Law is still withholding a $1,000 of my settlement, and this is my last response to their mishandling of my case... Please read below: Mr. Kaine, It is on record that you told me that the $1,000 was only to be held for Harken Health, not for Peachtree Wellness Center. On our conversation on October 27, 2016, I told you that I would only sign the settlement if you agreed that I would NOT pay Peachtree Wellness Center anything, and that they were to bill Harken Health for payment. We ;came to an agreement on that day and you were clearly misleading, in addition to the fact there was NO official settlement from GEICO. As of December 21, I discovered that Peachtree Wellness Center has not only billed me, they billed me for an extra day that I was not there, and Kaine Law has been aware of this since at least August, but completely hid this information from me. I even asked Ms. Hennig directly on 10/9, and she completely denied that this was possible. This also means you were aware of this during our conversation on 10/27. You are my lawyer, yet you are condoning, and supporting their fraudulent practices. Peachtree Wellness Center has been paid, Harken has been paid, so you are obligated to release my money to me, and no one else. I recorded all our conversations as well as emails, which have documented every misleading, and blatant deceptive statement, including efforts to stall my case and the refusal to answer my questions, when you actually had the answers. Even GEICO was more forthcoming and responsive to me when I was forced to contact them due to your lack of transparency. This is a scam, I was told that at Walmart they do free notary, so I get there with about just 5 pages to get notarized and the mean old lady that does the notary says is 5 dollars after the first 2 pages, I read the sign and in fact it says FREE notary and no small letters to back her up, so I tell her this and turns around and murmurs "estúpida grocera" in Spanish, which means "stupid rude" I don't look Hispanic at all but I am so I tell her in Spanish that she's the rude one and walk away. I rather pay elsewhere than being lied and treated like that. This place is no good. read more

Avoid this law firm at all cost the defrauded me in my case they told me that the insurance company settled for one coat yet I got a letter from the insurance company for a much hight amount. After being coerced over the phone that I needed to settle for the low amount they sent me in my email as long as they could have a certain amount avails them they did nothing right and I will be contacting the GA Bar Association and filing a legal claim against them. I have been a client of Kaine Law since July 2018. I have worked with Attorney Henning, Lorena and (recently) Sara. Unfortunately I have not enjoyed my experience. My questions have gone completely ignored on several occasions and I have had other concerns (which I am choosing to withhold at this time) that led me to ask for a complete copy of my case files. When I first requested a copy of my files I was asked, "why do you want them?" I was in shock due to the fact they are legally mine. I was even more shocked at the discovery after receiving them (which I tastefully choose to withhold at this time). Since disclosing my case files their lack of response has went from bad to worst, which is frustrating due to I the fact I have case specific questions that I have a right to have answered. I had an absolutely amazing experience with Kaine Law. After a past car accident/ insurance/lawsuit experience, I was hesitant to even go to the doctor, much less involve the responsible party's insurance - even though I was hurt!! When I woke up with extremely painful whiplash, however, I knew I had no choice. When I called him the next day, Evan immediately reassured me that he would take care of everything and that I would not be responsible for payment if the case did not go our way for some reason. I proceeded to go to doctor's appointments and to physical therapy, without any stress that I would end up having to battle the responsible driver's insurance company to be paid back. I never once worried that my case was being neglected, because I received phone calls every week (then updates every two weeks, then once every month as the case progressed and calls were not as necessary). Anytime I sent an email, it was replied to in a timely manner. If I called, I always got a quick response to my questions.
