O'Kelley & Sorohan assigned an attorney who was just admitted to the Georgia Bar in May (so barely 6 months ago), and the person's inexperience showed. The firm sent the HUD1 late, made multiple mistakes on the settlement documents, and had difficulty fixing them right the first time after I pointed them out. At one point, I was so frustrated, that I asked to speak to the Supervising Attorney. That request was not honored. Would never use them again.

It is not that this firm is absolutely terrible, but it has very real shortcomings for the price. I will give concrete examples. Most law firms go over the paperwork with you, and they help you fill out the questionnaires and what not. This firm WILL NOT do that. If you are latino and have poor English, you're on your own! You have to fill everything out yourself. I had gone to a firm in Atlanta before, and they went over every single line with you. You didn't do anything home alone. Second, when you call them on the phone, GOOD LUCK! You will be put on an answering machine. You can't speak to a human. You have to leave a message and they "get back to you" in some time. This is horrible! The other firm I mentioned which I used, in Atlanta, has a human being ACTUALLY answer the phone! How crazy! And they are knowledgeable with the law and help you! Not here. Pretty much the ONLY reason anyone should ever go here is if it is close to them and they have no other choice. If you can afford the drive, go somewhere else. This is important for you after all. On a last note, I heard the staff MOCKING a "customer" after they hung up the phone, because they expected that they were going to receive aid in filling out the forms! They were talking behind their back and laughing and mockingly saying how of course they are not going to go over every little line with them and "fill it out for them"... but this is what a good law firm does! They're there to hold your hand. I've got many more gripes, but I thought I'd just write out the concrete ones. How disappointing. I wish I knew this before I dropped multiple grand $$$ here. Oh yeah, and just take a look how the other "review" on here with 5 stars is OBVIOUSLY FAKE.... it reads like a freaking ad! It is so obviously not an actual review, probably the owners buddy. I was pushed and shoved by this Insurance Company that dragged me along and would not put anything in writing to deny the claim. So I filed a Small Claims action, but yet the big Defense Lawyers started playing their games and finally I was referred to Charles McAleer by a mutual friend. Long story short 10 days before the first actual court hearing after additional delays by opposing counsel, Charles firm decides to drop the case and left me high and dry. Now my case was Dismissed because I failed to appear. I live in California and did not receive the proper notice to be able to travel. Don't waste your time on this money grabber firm, the only reason, in my opinion, was my case was abandoned by McAleer was because it didn't have enough $$$$$$$$ signs. The Mission statement on their website sounds great in theory, but don't be fooled this firm is just another MEGA Ambulance Chaser type law firm.
