Spring is in the air, and this place is a great place to get your sand volleyball on. I didn't know…read morethere was a beach in Texas?!?! Ha! the facility gets you pumped to play and the courts are lit. There is a place for those who come to watch and support to get refreshments and food. They serve alcohol here so it is great to bond with teammates before or after your games. There is lots of parking but the walk can be far to the check in center. I'm not complaining though :)

The organization of their beach leagues is a complete disaster. Although the courts are nice with…read morea nice area to watch the games, if beach volleyball is important to your child, this is NOT the organization to take seriously or make it an important part of your family's summer schedule (as of summer 2015.) If they get to play, they get to play, but maybe not. What really is disturbing is the director's attitude and inability to be polite. (See details below.) 1. We found out 3 days before the first game that the league isn't starting or ending as originally scheduled because they extended the registration deadline to get more teams even though we'd confirmed the schedule 4 days in advance. According to their admin, "beach volleyball players 'just sign up late because it's a new sport and people don't take the deadlines seriously like club volleyball, so this happens.'" The schedule will be pushed back by 2 weeks and we have the option to drop out. (gee thanks.) Each family on our team had scheduled our summer plans based on the things our kids wanted to do this summer (which included beach volleyball,) parents had already scheduled time off for travel, etc... so there are many components affected by the delay which is disappointing, but in this case unavoidable & we understand. 2. Communication with them is terrible. Since our team wasn't receiving any updates/ information/schedules about courts or what court we were on, etc... our parents had to call them multiple times for updates about schedules, court numbers, release forms, requirements, etc... 3. Finally, the director needs customer relations training. Her interaction with her customers (the people who pay to be a part of her organization and ultimately pay her salary) is quite lacking and unprofessional. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but that doesn't give her the right to be ugly to the customer because of her lack of communication and disorganization. She could have least apologized for the inconvenience, but she acted like the customers were completely unreasonable to expect the Beach at Craig Ranch to keep their end of the deal or to at least communicate in a timely manner if there might be a problem. What the director also doesn't seem to realize, is that by rescheduling, they're going to lose some teams who can't/aren't willing to change the rest of their summer plans, so this is going to be an ongoing problem because they'll be losing teams at the same time that more teams sign up.

They don't offer a military discount or multiple kid discount, but you can often find great deals on Groupon. Everyone is required to wear socks, which they sale for $3.75. Hot food isn't allowed inside, but you can bring in chips and other packaged snacks. The facility was very clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of snacks and drinks available for purchase, lots of seating for parents, and I especially liked the party rooms and arcade area. One thing that really stood out was the toddler section. It had seating for parents and a nearby bathroom, which made it much more convenient for families with little ones. We arrived around 1:00 p.m. and stayed until 3:00 p.m., and the kids were still having a blast when it was time to leave! It's a great place to let kids burn off energy in a safe, clean environment.

Their prices for admission is comparable to other play gyms for kids, but they do offer packages if you intend to go more than once. The staff were really nice and welcoming as well. They had two separate play areas - one for littles and one for bigger kids - which both included chairs for parents to sit and watch. We like that they had a hand washing station in the play area and promoted cleanliness for all attendees. We would definitely take our daughter back if we are in the area.

Her knowledge and guidance gave me so much confidence going into labor. Postpartum, what truly set her apart was how supportive and flexible she was in allowing my baby to come to sessions. She made everything feel easy and completely judgment-free--whether that meant pausing when my baby needed me, adapting exercises on the spot, or simply creating a space where I didn't have to choose between caring for my baby and caring for myself. She brings so much warmth, kindness, and calmness, especially in moments when anxiety crept in. Her steady presence made me feel safe, capable, and deeply supported during such a vulnerable season. I always left our sessions feeling more grounded, stronger, and empowered. I couldn't recommend her more highly to anyone preparing for birth or navigating the postpartum transition.

We had a kitchen all to ourselves and the teacher's undivided attention at 5pm on a weeknight. . We started off by whisking an egg into a cup of flour. After much kneading, we each had our homemade pasta dough balls which we let rest. Then, we got started on the pasta sauce. We made both a white and red sauce. In between, we had sips of the rose we brought because they're BYOB! Once we got the sauce going, we rolled out our pasta and cut them into strips of fettuccine using a couple of pasta makers. Finally, we chopped up some fresh garlic for garlic bread. I've forgotten her name, but the teacher was very friendly and knowledgeable. She even taught us a cool trick to turn parmesan rinds into delicate crisps. We wrapped up the session by digging into our pasta dishes and snapping some photos to capture the moment! I can't wait to make my own pasta at home.

Parent were able to help, but most of us were taking pictures of our kids cooking because how often do we see that?? The space was so clean and well put together, and the energy was just as fun as the process. We cannot wait to go back for another cooking class with friends!
