They were very rude from the get, the manager Rene who I spoke to several times before hand never mentioned or asked me anything except if I could come later for the vehicle I rented out. Which was fine on our end.. but then he LIED and chimed in saying that we had already discussed and went over everything. Like nooo way! And then the lady was talking over everyone and saying that she personally called me multiple times to ask me questions!! They seemed to have 0 resolutions and kept adding issue after issue. So please make sure you get all your ducks in a row. I've never had a problem renting a vehicle before till them. It wasn't worth the time or hassle to continue since they're just a really unprofessional. I'm hoping they figure out how to do business and work with people not against. The work and related recommendations were excellent. The most extensive work was the replacement of a Chrysler 68RFE automatic transmission in a 2009 Dodge HD diesel pickup. The rebuilt transmission they recommended and installed worked perfectly for another year before we traded the truck in. When I went in to schedule maintenance and a minor repair on our 2016 Subaru Outback in late 2025, the place had a different feel. The guy they had up front writing service orders and scheduling was new and failed to understand what I was requesting. Even though I went by ahead of time and carefully explained what I needed done, this employee had to have it all explained again on the scheduled day, and I eventually had to insist on talking to Brad about it. Brad must be short-handed in the shop because it was clear to me that he no longer expected to be directly involved with customers. This shop is a fairly high-priced operation. I don't mind that, but have since taken our business elsewhere.

It had a been in major collision amd didn't have AC, I drove to down from Oregon and realized i certainly didn't want to drive it back like that. I also had some steering wobble and possible break rotor issues so I mentioned that as well. I just picked up my truck from the shop. Paid 250$ for them to tell me the same thing. That my AC was bad amd needed to be replaced and that I had possible alignment issues among other things. Well I told them that when I dropped it off. Along with the fact that the vehicle had been in a major collision. Normally when a mechanic has taken my vehicle they actually listen to me when I tell them what's wrong with the vehicle. These guys just chose not to and to charge me for what I already knew. So to add to an already expensive fix. I just spent 250$ to confirm my vehicle had issues and absolutely no fix was done. I mentioned that to the guy on my way out this morning and his response was you should of told me the vehicle was salvaged tittle. Ummm. Excuse me! I told you on the very first conversation I got the truck on a trade and it was previously in a major wreck. HELLO!!!! Maybe listen to your customers when they explain to you what's wrong with their vehicles. Further more the lady in the front was far from pleasant and the customer service I received was non existent. I had to call to even find out what their diagnoses was. I gave them 4 days and just decided to go get my truck before they racked up any more unnecessary cost. On the way out the guy mentioned his machine for checking the AC just cost him 9grand. I said great. Glad I could help pay that for ya. And I left pretty dissatisfied! I still have no AC. The brakes and rotors I asked to be put on are still in the truck and it cost me 250$ plus 4 days in a rental vehicle. This is not the way you get repeat business nor good reviews. I've driven from Alaska to Panama over the last few years. Met many mechanics along the way. Normally only pay that kinda of money if work was actually preformed. I'm sure they spent no real time on my vehicle and charged me full shop rates for simple diagnostics. Seams to me the only thing they really cared about was the paycheck. I have a large extended family here in the hill country and I'm sure none of them will be using this shop after I let them know my experience.

I took my Toyota Highlander in for a brake check and a checkup for a trip to Colorado. The brakes were fine, the grinding noise I heard was the ABS kicking in, and the car is good to go. No charge, I will be back with my Toyota and my Dodge Dakota any time I need help with either of them. Thank you so much for your assistance! At the first moment of an issue, they will try to come repossess your car. They will literally come repossess your car the day after your auto policies do. They don't care if you're working. They don't care what your situation is. These are the worst people in the world. This is a buyer beware. Do not, I repeat, do not purchase or lease a vehicle from these people whatsoever. The design motto is not to help you out. It's literally to take as much money as you can, and when you don't have that much, they'll take the car back. Please stay away from this company. They're not your friend. They're not here to help you. This is the worst kind of business I've ever seen. And that's not just for me. This is for multiple people. They don't deserve to have any kind of business offered to the people. Again, buyer beware.

Went here to get my daughter a more reliable vehicle after hers had become irreparable…read more We went into this dealer and were given options of vehicles within our down payment price range. All had ridiculously high down payments and prices but we were desperate to get her a more reliable car. We settled on the 2016 Chevy Cruz (Red) which was one of the better looking vehicles on the lot. We came back the next morning to give the down payment and have my daughter sign her paperwork. 1. They advised that there is a GPS on the car and they would come get it if they didn't receive payment on time. 2. They required specific deductibles for insurance - not just full coverage but you have to have $500 or less on deductibles. 3. The total cost and payments were more than what the car was worth. 4. The lady up front was very curt and rude. Not good customer service at all. They didn't wash the car first or anything. My daughter drove the car for almost 2 months. During that time she had been waiting on them to fix a window on the driver's side that the dealership had already known about but didn't fix before selling it. When they finally got the appointment and equipment in to fix her window (needed to have the motor and glass replaced) they told her to take it to 'their' mechanic. She did and dropped off her car and was told they would call when it was done. They didn't. They took the total window kit that the dealership had ordered and only replaced something on the inside of the door but not the glass. This means they kept the glass and any other parts that they didn't use. They also never called her to let her know it was done. She had to call them and found out it had been done for a while. When she arrived to pick up her car, nobody was around and the mechanic shop was empty. However, they had left her keys on top of her car for anyone to grab and take the car. When she was on her way home, the car started shaking violently from under the hood. The engine was shaking and sounded horrible. She called the dealer to let them know that something had happened at the mechanic aside from them fixing the window. The dealership (lady that has always been rude) told her that she had never had an issue with them and acted like she didn't care about the keys being left on top of the car or that the engine was now making horrible sounds and shaking. She told my daughter that they weren't responsible for it and to take it to a mechanic. The dealer and mechanic are liable for this but they won't do anything about it. The car was not able to be driven after that day. We ended up taking the car back to the dealer and dropping it off. Went to KerrTex Motors and got a nicer, less expensive, and more reliable car and service. KerrTex worked with our budget, was open and honest about everything, and guided my daughter toward being able to build credit in the future. The salesman was very nice and we felt comfortable throughout the whole process. Family Auto is a horrible scam business that just sells you a POS that will last long enough to get them out of the liability of fixing it. That Cruz sat in the same spot on their lot for weeks before they finally moved it to the lot to be sold. Guaranteed it didn't get fixed correctly and that window will end up breaking again. Do NOT go here! You will regret it. Also, "consider the source"? That is the response from the dealer. Think about that. They don't care if you aren't happy. They want to put the blame on you, the buyer, for your poor buying experience with them. Let's see what they say to this review. edit: The car's voice system for the radio and all that only spoke Spanish. The car had obviously been in an accident because there was broken glass in the trunk. They called and harassed my daughter about her insurance and her payment and threatened to come get the car if she didn't have insurance by a certain time that day. We had been in the process of switching insurance to another company. The car cost was so high that the payments were up there with what a brand new car would cost.

Great transportation option if you've got kids at camps around Kerrville!…read more On short notice, I needed to get kids from two different camps in the Kerrville area to the San Antonio Airport. After some google searching I called these guys hoping for help. Matt indicated he was well acquainted with both camps and also fluent with the minors policies at the airport. Said it would be no problem! I double checked with both the boy camp and the girl camp, and each indicated they'd worked with this company successfully in the past and had no concerns. So, very quickly Matt gave me a quote of $185 (including tip) to drive to two separate camps, pick up kids and the luggage, and get them to SAT and checked into their flights. He told he eaxactly what time he would be at each camp, and the camps called me when kids were picked up (so I know he was on time, at each location, as promised). My teenage daughter told me the check in at the airport went very smoothly and the driver helped with luggage and handed over the forms to the airline. I'm super happy with how streamlined the whole process was and honestly a bit amazed at the price (I expected quite a bit more). These guys are definitely going in "Mom's little bag of tricks" for navigating summer camp season from four states away. Matt, THANK YOU!
