I just changed to Kaiser, I am NOT used to five min appointments with a doctor and feeling like I'm just part of a cattle herd. Two times went and two times I walk out super stressed. Dr stated I needed cholesterol meds (with test results at 100) and he wanted to change a medicine I've used for 15 plus years, I said NO; he was persistent. Dr also said that my old med will NOT be covered by Kaiser; he wanted to change it to a new one. He LIED it's covered. Not sure why Dr wants to add and change med. Need a mental health appointment, good luck if you want help asap in person, got sent to ACT --really??? First appointment 40 minutes of bullshit and no help just told what to do about my issue, not a listener just told what to do, "...divorce husband". When I enrolled (at a Kaiser seminar) I was told one of my meds would be less $$ than United Healthcare-- just paid more today. Also during seminar I was told mental health can be weekly, nope! Lies! Lies and lies! Need a PT or any referral, oh you have to wait 3-5 days to have it "approved" to get it scheduled, so I guess their doctors don't know any better. Not happy!!! read more

My youngest had an audiology appointment for my little one because he hasn't had one in a while. Erica was the one who helped us. She was absolutely amazing. We have to follow up in a month because even though I mentioned he had Autism, they only booked him with her and for 30min but he needs an additional person and an 1hr visit. That part is a little upsetting but on a positive note, it gives us some time to try to prepare him better. The quality of care Erica gave was amazing. Alina was awesome! i work around the corner and had blood work to be done, she was the phlobotomist and the process was painless, professional but kept conversation which I appreciate. From the moment t I walked in it was great service. Not all kaisers are the same, the lady at the check in desk had beautiful pinkish hair, older lady she was awesome too! I didn't get her name but shes pry the only one with that color hair. Please acknowledge their professionalism and great custer service. My coworker told me and so happy I tried - it was fast. First, there was an extremely long wait to do labwork (over 50 minutes). Then, I ended up with the rudest lab person in my life! She was angry, rude and confrontational right from the start. She began arguing that I wasn't allowed to turn the chair. The chair was turned all the way to the right, and I when I went turn it to the middle (like all the other lab chairs), she snapped! I explained that I can't have labs done on my right arm, so needed the chair turned to be able to place my left arm on the table. It wouldn't reach the way she had the chair turned all the way to the right. This was the women with long, dark braids. Another patient was even staring at her about how she was speaking to me. You know, I didn't realize that pharmacy refill requests go to a central location, who told me the Redlands pharmacy had my medication, that I could pick up the same day. I arrived around 6pm and was told they didn't have it. Of course... I completely sympathize with them, because it's apparent, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. They were apologetic, they double checked, then they told me it wasn't available and that the central number gave incorrect information. And I vented. I wanted to know the disconnect...I was upset. They offered to call in the prescription 15 miles away and I could get today (which I did.) I wasn't cussing but definitely making my voice heard. Then I hear a larger gentleman say "I got this." Got what, bubbah? I literally told him he "ain't got nothing." "I got this" So disrespectful... I ignored him, and told him I didn't want to talk to him. He prattled on for 20-30 seconds while I waited for the Fontana pharmacy address the other associates said they'd write down for me. I don't know... Just apologize to me, let me vent, offer a solution - which they did! But don't say "I got this." TF does that mean anyways? Maybe say, "I'll assist the gentleman," or "let the gentleman know I'll help him." He didn't make it silent, he was less than 10 feet from me... "I got this..." Came for bee sting - From check-ins to Lab and finally seeing a physician, I can say Kaiser staff giving me a heads up that my care will be so called "not on time" because they start their greetings and follow up with "Thank you for waiting", "We are sorry for the long wait", and "we appreciate your patience", My appointment was at 2:40pm on Wednesday. Came in earlier thinking will get help earlier than appointment time. I don't know what was I thinking :) Didn't get called in till 3:10 but the nurse saying nicely that I am next. Which is 40 minutes later - I got seen by a physician. Lab work really fast - afternoon or late afternoon usually not too crowded. Checking in my prescription- again i was greeted and followed by "thank you for waiting- well line quite long. Picking up my prescription about 30 minutes later - same greetings i received- which is nice but after meeting 5-6 staffs in the last couple of hours- it almost turn into an annoying things like a broken record. I've been going to the Kaiser Redlands facility for approximately 10 years. Their pharmacy is outstanding and they always have about eight staff handling patient pick ups. The front desk is excellent and they always have at least 2 to 4 people checking in patients. Their optical department is excellent with at least two people checking in and at least three or four people assisting customers with their eyeglass selections. Their laboratory is excellent and I've never had to wait for more than 10 minutes for a phlebotomist. This is also true of their nursing staff for routine blood pressure checks, injections, etc. My primary care physician has been outstanding and has always given me timely referrals as needed. She is also readily available by both messaging and telephone consultations. Finally there is plenty of parking which is a rarity. The facility is kept spotless. All in all an easy five stars! read more

Got fully vaccinated here - two Covid shots and it was a smooth transaction. Never had to wait long and parking is easy, location great. Easy to pick up prescriptions. I just wish they had a hospital nearby other than Fontana, which is very crowded, long wait times for everything there and parking can sometimes be challenging there. I came back to Kaiser because my other insurance was just so archaic. The facility was great (Loma Linda), but Kaiser is much more efficient in the insurance aspect and that is so important when you need it to work for you versus waiting for authorizations all day or days. My only disappointment is I lost out on seeing an oncologist routinely, the psychiatric which has no psychiatrist taking new patients, so I can't get my ADHD medication & struggling working from home and a deformed finger from a cut I got & well I was told there's nothing they can do about it, because I waited 2 days to get it looked at. :(. Plus the big bubble tissue at my finger tip gets in the way of typing for work, but what can I do? But other than that, this Redlands office is the best. read more

The most terrible experience I've ever had at kaiser in over 30 years...... And also at any Healthcare facility, basically I was exactly 15 minutes late and they said that they'd have to see if they could fit me in. So I waited and when they finally let me know, they called me to check my vitals and said that it could be up to an hour wait, and I said I understand & then the nurse asked me what was the problem........ back pain or side pain and I said what do you mean it's both. I have pain on my right side that is radiating to my back. Then the nurse says well since you're late, didn't they tell you at the front desk that you can only get one thing checked? I said that doesn't make sense when it's side pain that radiates to my back so both hurt !! The so called nurse states "well you have to pick one or the other, the side or the back, we can't check both since you were late" I said you're kidding me, well never mind I'll come back when I can get my condition checked properly. Can you imagine if I had trouble breathing and chest pain and could even be possibly having a stroke but they're going to tell me to pick the chest pain or the trouble breathing......... Wow really!!!! I can't believe I actually pay for this so called health insurance I'm going to have to rethink where I need to go because lately Kaiser has gone absolutely down hill !!!!!!! Zero stars. 05/04/2021 I saw Dr. Koteira for a sprain on my thumb and was told to go to orthopedics as he ordered a splint. The tech put a cast on my arm instead. I asked her to call Dr. Koteira to confirm but she said that's what was on my notes. 05/05/2021 I emailed Dr Koteira the following day and was told it was a "misunderstanding"? And they will reach out to me. 05/06/2021 I called appointments early in the morning and emailed Dr. Koteira to see when they can remove the cast. A staff called saying they're waiting for Dr. Koteira to sign off on it. It is now noon and have not heard back. I have informed them that this has caused an inconvenience and I am unable to work because of this. If Kaiser is reading this, HELP! read more

Nairy Khashik Sarkis M.D. evidently has too high of a patient load or just doesn't give two shits about her patients. I have been assigned to her for the last 16months and i have not heard one word from her, I had labs done last month for the first time since 2019, I can see the results on line however as I am not a Dr, I don't understand what the numbers mean, most of my labs were out of range and as of today, I still have not heard one word from her. Had my annual physical exam with Dr. Imperio. He's always professional and easy to chat. He made the arrangement for my bloodwork as well. The lab has changed its process. When you do check in for your lab work, you see your last name on the electronic board showing which station you need to go or how long the wait will be. No more pulling a number system. When my name was on red, it shows that I can go in and walk into whatever station number. Today I had Eric. He was the only man there and the rest where women. I was apprehensive for two things: one, it's a man and my though was "he may be rough in sticking the needle" and two, no one likes needles! In the past when I had gone for my lab work, the last phlebotomist who drew blood from me...I felt the pressure of the needle every time she changed the blood tubes. This burly young man named ERIC had the LIGHTEST touch! Oh my goodness! Didn't feel a thing! If you are getting your blood drawn in Kaiser Redlands Lab, see if you can request for ERIC! Drinking plenty of water (ask your doctor first) helps tremendously. Don't drink coffee, tea, juice or an sugary drinks before blood work. I've had a UTI for over 3 months already. I've called many times do schedule an appointment and they set up calls from Doctors ir a RN. I've had 4 or 5 different people making me take a urine sample after another after another. They keep telling me I have an infection and no one does anything about it. They just keep telling me to go do urine samples. One Doctor I've sent her a message that I was going to go on vacation and to please give me something for my infection. She responded back saying: multiple organisms probable contamination. Repeat urine if with symptoms of uti. I got this message over and over and over. Doesn't anybody understand that I have a UTI and that it needs to be taken care off? I paid $40 each Urine test, how much more money do they want to take from me? We already pay way too much for our medical insurance. And getting an appointment is a few months wait. This is ridiculous. All we are is money for Kaiser. That's all they have in their head $$$$. Kaiser is embarrassing. They don't help sick people they make us sicker. I'm really angry that I've had a Urine infection for months and no one cares at all. Now they've scheduled me for almost a month for radiology and I have to pay another $85. It's amazing how they are so quick in running tests and tests but nobody does anything about my infection. We are tired of Kaiser, it's exhausting and taking all the money they can. I wish I had other options for medical insurance. Now we have to return ro kaiser for the third time to get a refund on glasses. That were not made correctly. First time the ttech. Did not aadjust the glassess to my face. Second 1.5 hour trip for repair. As glasses fell apart! Second tech replaceed screws which held until i got home 1.5 hour away the lens felll out when i triedto clean it. So annother 1.5 hour trip. Not to repaiir but to get them. Repaired, but. REPLACED wwith NEw glassess. That dont fall apart becaused they are not made correctly and take 6. Weeks. "Kasier Permanente Vision Essentials" Alfredo Bactista from the Kasier Permanente Vision Essentials department in the Redlands office did a fantastic job fixing the huge mistake that another Kasier employee made on my wife's Sunglasses order. We ordered 2 sets of glasses and they called us and said the glasses were ready for pickup. When we got to the Redlands office to pick them up only one set was there, the sunglasses were gone. We think some employees stole them because they were not out in the public. We then had to wait as Alfredo Bactista very nicely ordered the glasses again at No cost to us. My LVN Mia(3rd floor), my primary(Dr.Vendiola), receptionist Nick(3rd floor) and Tony(1st) all helped me out today and showed me such great customer/patient service. I went in for a physical exam for school and needed records and lab work and when I made an error in scheduling, they all worked collectively to help me out and make sure I got everything filled out before the offices closed. Not sure why such bad reviews. The receptionist to check in was amazing with her customer service skills. I went in to get TB test shot and the nurse was super friendly and attentive. She made sure that my information was placed in my medical chart. Especially because I told her that I wasn't from the area and needed to get the results from different Kaiser office. If you are a person of color the pharmacy will not release the full quantity of medication that has been prescribed to you. I travel for work all over CA and have NEVER had a problem filling my medication which is a narcotic at any Kaiser. The RX would not provide the reason why this was the only viable option available to me. I have heard of similar issues with other members specific to the Redlands Kaiser Office. I had it filled at the 24 hour Fontana Kaiser with no problem on the same day. Would I recommend Redlands Kaiser to any one...HELL NO! read more

So glad to be switching insurances in a month after having Kaiser for over 15 years. You would be better off getting medical care in a third world country. Doctors are absolutely bottom of the barrel and they have no concern for the patient. I currently have 3 of them there and all are the same. On their website they now say it will be a longer wait to see doctors because of Covid and the flu that's going around. Yep, once again "our hero's". I have been a member of Kaiser Permanente for over 40 years. I went to the Redlands Kaiser Permanente Medical Office since it was nearby to my home. Dr Isaac Saroia is my Family Practice Physician. I can't say enough about him. He is kind, knowledgeable and very comforting. I was having some problems with pain in my shoulders and knees. He scheduled X-rays and a Bone Scan. He offered injections and I was a bit scared at first, but he was so gentle, did not hurt at all. I have since moved to Menifee and I just can't bring myself to go to the nearby Kaiser Medical building for my injections. I travel close to 2 hours one-way to see Dr Saroia because he is that GOOD.
