This place was fantastic. I am Ukrainian-American, visiting Poland from the United States with my American boyfriend. The food here is just as authentic and delicious as the best Ukrainian food I've had, and very reasonably priced and portioned. We had the borscht, pelmeni, and nalesniki (sweet pancakes/crepes with jam) for dessert. All of them looked fantastic and were even more tasty than they looked. I would definitely recommend those dishes -- they are made well here, and they are a good place to start to experience Ukrainian cuisine. (My boyfriend was hooked.)
The location is a little hard to find -- Kalejdoskop doesn't show up on Google maps (at least not yet) and it is below ground in a tunnel with other shops. It doesn't feel touristy but has an English menu if you ask (and they appeared to have menus in other languages too). It's small and cozy and definitely worth a visit if you are looking for great Ukrainian food in Krakow. read more
