I…read moredid THOROUGH research on every chiropractor in Kalispell, and while I mean no shade towards others, this one stood out as a beacon of light amongst the rest. They practice the Gonstead method of chiropractic which is amazing because it's very hands on. I refuse to go to chiropractors who do not use X-rays, and they do. They are very thorough with the X-rays using multiple angles. They use them to explain where you are misaligned, or subluxated. On top of the X-rays they also use thermography and electromyography, which if you don't know what it is, is fascinating and you should look it up(or just check the website because it's well explained.) The "pinched nerve" or subluxation that was the tipping point for me coming in is gone, and I'm getting healthier. With my nerves not being linked like a water hose I've been getting the communication that is vital for a healthy body to function. My sleep has improved, my pain and chronic inflammation issues have went down, and I'm able to lift more and do more. I can even hold my 4 year old much longer now (this is has made it more than worth it). The staff is so sweet, Cassy especially makes sure everyone is taken care of. Michelle, Abby, Kenna, Lynn, Dr Zina, Dr Tyler, Dr Basler, Dr Kristen, Yzabel and anyone who I missed, they all are incredible and you can tell they genuinely care for each and every patient. Having seen the shenanigans at Benefis Hospital over multiple births I'd attended as a birth doula, we deliberately chose to drive from Cut Bank all the way to Kalispell for the better quality health care available in the Flathead Valley. At admission, I was given the choice between a midwife and an MD. Again, because of some past experiences with and insider knowledge of the valley's midwife scene, I chose the MD on call. That doctor happened to be Gina Nelson. Though obviously not pleased with the situation, she was nevertheless ALWAYS courteous and professional toward us. Her skill became extremely important near the end of the labor when a true knot and nuchal cord were discovered. The quality of care we received in her office after the birth was also excellent. I was impressed that the Oath of Maimonides was unabashedly and prominently displayed in her office. It's a shame that our relocation two hours drive farther east has made retaining Dr. Nelson as my personal ObGyn an impracticality. I had heard some complaints and other negative things about Gina Nelson around town when we lived in the Flathead Valley, so let me make one thing clear to anyone concerned over the trash-talk coated jealousy. This woman knows her stuff. She might be direct, brisk, and not sugar-coated enough for some, but she puts her heart and soul into her work. So if personal excellence and medical integrity is too off-putting for you, then look elsewhere.
