I stoped at MedNorth Urgent Care at about 3:30 today. I needed to have several stitches removed and had trouble finding anyone who would remove them for me. To say I was surprised at the high quality medical care I received would be an understatement. I received excellent professional care from the receptionist, the medical professional who removed my complicated stitches, through my exit interview. I've been here twice and I was satisfied with the service. However, they charged me upfront and then my insurance paid them. So, they overcharged me and 4 MONTHS later I still can't get my refund check from them. Every time I called for my refund check they gave me silly excuses and say they'll send it. They still haven't sent it. This appears to be a scam. read more

Both doctors took time to listen to my issues and concerns, and I never felt rushed. This is by far one of the best Urgent Care facilities I have been to. I went in for some stitches on a deep cut. The staff at the front desk was very friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful. They got me in very quickly. I then met Dr. Hill, who was very clear about what needs to be done. He then proceeded to clean the wound and stitch me up. Dr. Hill did an amazing job closing up a gash in my hand, he got it to look like it was just a small cut. Came in today due getting food poisoning of some sort and really appreciated how everyone was professional and kind. Huge props to my nurse Summer who did an amazing job getting me all squared away with my X Ray and getting some much needed fluids. I took my daughter to MedNorth during our visit when to Kalispell when we were visiting my parents when she was ill for over 8 days. The clinic was very clean, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I am a Physical Therapist and I own a clinic too, so I know when a clinic is run well. The clinic was also designed beautifully & not like a sterile medical clinic. It looked like a log home and was prestine clean. I guess Dr. Hall was a contractor back in the day and designed it himself which is super cool! Our wait time was not long considering this was an Urgent Care clinic and the front desk staff was exceptional. I just felt like I was almost relaxing at home the whole time on the nice leather couches with their beautiful ambience. Dr. Hall was super friendly, knowledgeable, humorous, and he listened very well to my concerns. We were able to walk out with the proper medications to get her feeling better before our return trip home. I highly recommend this clinic for Urgent Care needs. It was so professional. Horrible service. I left work early to get there before closing which is at 5pm . I arrived at 4pm and wasn't seen until after 5 pm . There was one other patient in the waiting room when I arrived. He was seen immediately. Once I was finally seen I was back in the doctors office for maybe 10 minutes before he sent me on my way (it was very rushed ). There was little to no testing done and I was simply prescribed steroids that they thought might not even resolve my illness . Not only that but now I am having to contact them again to get further care and it's virtually impossible to reach them by phone ! I am extremely unhappy ! read more

Most recently I rolled my ankle and he and his staff were wonderful from X-ray s to care to check out. With out a long wait time. Had a health issue here in Kalispell, that sprung up unexpectedly, and my primary told me to go to Urgent Care. Walked in without an appointment (and yes, their hours just changed from 7am to opening at 9am). Was the first to be seen. Professionally pretreat with an assistant, and Dr. Shane Hill, stepped in moments after the nurses finished. He looked at the problem, closely, and determined antibiotics were in order. So was in and out with a new satisfaction that he knows his stuff. I'll us MedNorth Urgent Care next time i need same day care. It was an easy process overall. I was able to "check-in" online and then meet the staff (who followed Covid procedures) to go over insurance and wait to be seen. The wait was quick, the nurses and doctors on site were all very nice and professional. Everything was clean. I was in and out fairly quick and had no problem with insurance, co-pay, antibiotics, etc. I would definitely recommend this place to others. read more

The short version is that while the doctor was great, I would never go back because of the billing nightmare that followed. Over 3 months after I saw them, they still owe me money in spite of my 5 phone calls to their billing department plus a couple to my insurance provider and having to upload a copy of my receipt to correct MedNorth's billing error. Their first error was charging my credit card more than what the receipt they gave me said I should have paid. Their second was not billing my insurance at all, which they claimed to have done but then later admitted they had not after I told them I had spoken with my insurance provider who had no record of the claim. Once the claim had been filed and processed and MedNorth had a copy of my credit card receipt, they told me the refund would be paid in 1-2 weeks. Since then I have called them twice more and it's been over 7 weeks since that call and over 3 months since the day of service. I've had to reach out to my insurance provider again to see if they can get MedNorth to pay up. I honestly am beginning to think that they have no intention of paying me the money they owe me. read more

Mednorth is the best in town. Dr. Hill actually saved my husband's life on Feb. 20th. My husband was having a widow maker heart attack and Dr. Hill caught it right away sending us to the Emergency Room. We have also had to visit Dr. Hill on other occasions and we have been delighted with the care we have received. The staff is beyond kind and compassionate. Well if I was here for anything Urgent I'd be dead by now. Very slow and with only 5 people in the waiting room. I'm glad there is nothing really wrong with me. If you actually have something "Urgent" stay away from here. I'm thinking about going out to the car and bring my pillow in and take a nap while I wait. We have now been here for 3 hrs and they r not even busy. Normal wait times at an Urgent care is 15 to 45 minutes. They need to realize this is unacceptable and endangers patient care. read more

I took my husband here last night with a big, bleeding, gash in his leg. Even though I had called my insurance ahead of time and they confirmed that they would cover the charges, mednorth would not accept our insurance and turned us away, stating they would not accept HMOs - 'just in case' it wouldn't be covered. This is also interesting, since my son was treated there earlier this week for an ear infection - insurance accepted. It's a beautiful office - leather couches, suede chairs, big screen tv - As a health care professional and just as a human I find this a shameful example of a place that clearly cares far more about making money than actually providing patient care. Being that Most people have HMOs, I have to ask myself, who are they treating here for Urgent care? Keep this in mind as you look here for care. read more

On a Wednesday AM, one month ago, I was taken to this beautifully built facility for a pretty intense laceration I had suffered. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and I was taken back to a room almost right away. Dr. Shane walked into the room where my brother and I were waiting and I felt instant relief. His presence was calm, composed, reassuring and silly all at once. I had a big hole under my arm and he congratulated me for "winning the best laceration of the day!" He began cleaning and then stitching me up. When he told me about the needle he was going to use (I strongly dislike needles), he said it was almost 10 inches long, watched my facial expression and then started laughing. He said he likes to use reverse psychology on his patients as he was trying to help me feel at ease - it worked. The needle he showed me didn't look 1/2 as bad as the first one he said he was going to use, ugh. He was very gentle with each stitch and in no time at all, he said we were done. He even let my brother take some photos of his needle work. Over the last month, I have babied the area around the wound and taken excellent care of it. I know, however, that because of his care, that that's why I have recovered so well. I almost have full range of motion back now and am pleased to write a stellar review for this doctor and his team. If you are in need of urgent medical assistance, and you don't have to go to the ER - check these guys out. Great Providers no problem!!! But this isn't urgent care, don't get the name twisted. I was there forever for them to tell me my strep test was negative. The staff was very rude to me. I felt very uncomfortable and would not go back there again based solely on the front desk lady. I work customer service so I tried to understand but people deserve to be treated with respect. Avoid this business if at all possible. They are not willing to bill insurance. If you need simple medical service don't come to Med-north Urgent care. When one enters their place of business they don't ask your name they don't ask what type of health issue you might have. The are strictly concerned to know if you have cash in your pocket to pay for any service they might provide. On Wednesday morning I visited Med-north for medical assistance. They were not helpful in any respect and appeared fiendishly desperate for cash dollars.. I had bumped my shin on the dashboard or break pedal in car wreck resulting in need for injury assessment and possibly stitches. Due to the accident a primary insurance coverage is available for payment. Also I have excellent BCBS health insurance it covers virtually any procedure (it pays less, requires a larger portion of cost to me if the business is outside network but well covered). The clerk refused me service unless I paid cash. I protested and said that I would prefer for them to send the service to my insurance company. She refused and a man is scrub clothing came out to the service desk and said that they wont bill insurance because too many people have come to them and not paid for service. Irritated by the demand for cash I began to offer to pay out of pocket today. Both the clerk and man is medical scrubs continued to tell me that insurance was no good at Med-North Urgent Care. - Frustrated I left without help. read more

Having gone there immediately from my dentist who instructed me to see a doctor because my blood pressure was alarmingly high, I walked into a place of bureaucratic paper work that served to only stress me more. When I appealed to the nurse that I would just like someone to take my blood pressure and get it down as quickly as possible... she said "well, if we take it now, it's going to be really high". (Yes, I was speechless also) That WAS the problem... my blood pressure was high. No one was listening. I walked out, calmed down in the parking lot. Am here on a Saturday morning. Dr. Babbitt is awesome, hence the good star rating, but the front desk lady is very rude. People come to these places for help not to be made to feel stupid because the front desk person is overwhelmed by stuff she doesn't understand. Mednorth is my favorite urgent care to go to in town. The building is beautiful and I've never had to wait very long. Which is surprising because the doctors seem to take their time with you. They are a bit pricier but it's so worth it. I've only been disappointed with one doctor and I just request someone else if that one is working. Dr. Shane is incredible!
