The location is hidden off Terex Rd, but once you take the winding road back towards the lake, you've entered a magical winter wonderland! There's plenty of parking and the staff are extremely courteous and helpful. They have a great selection of pre-cut trees at fair prices (perhaps fair prices for Hudson, as the other tree seller at the center of town was a charitable organization that charged through the roof). Here we take a pull cart, grab a hack saw and go hunt for the perfect tree. They have most every common Christmas tree that you can imagine. We hunted for 90-mins until we found the perfect live tree for the height, width and proportion of a tree we were looking for. Once we cut it down and put it on the cart, we brought the tree back to the main house, paid for the tree and the staffers shook off the leaves, bundled the tree and put it on the roof of my car. My children were entertained by the livestock in the back of the farmhouse. They had a pig, goat and rooster with staff showing off these animals. It's a beautiful tree farm that's very picturesque. We saw three separate families on professional photo shoots. I've been here in two snow storms in years prior and can tell you it really helps the moment. Something so magical about the precious white snow falling as you find the perfect Christmas tree. Like a scene out of a Hallmark Channel movie with a washed up actor from Full House or Doogie Houser.

If you appreciate reasonable prices and careful land management, this IS your place. Fred's Tree Farm is a lovely location to enjoy a walk past ponds and into the field to select your own tree. Evergreens are intermingled with a variety of hardwoods; what an excellent plan! The staff (family) are super pleasant and willing to assist. We discovered this location 3 years ago and plan to be back. After all, once the tree is decorated it looks great regardless of any gaps or imperfections. That's what gives our trees character. I also called the next day and spoke with Marcia, who was very professional and confirmed delivery to my location without any issues. Overall, every employee I interacted with was knowledgeable, friendly, and went the extra mile. As a first-time customer, I can confidently say this is a hidden gem of a nursery, and I'm very happy I found them.

This year he only found one that was decent and even that was not impressive. So I went back to get a second fuchsia. First thing that I saw was that they were all bone dry, ridiculously sparse, and in relatively small pots. There were about three different color combinations, priced at $24.99. When I mentioned something to a greenhouse employee she told me that they had a different supplier this year. Every evening when I go out to water them I cringe because they look so bad. I was impressed by the level of customer service, as Matt took his time to talk with me and every other customer present to make sure we all got what we came for and were educated on different varieties. After checking out, Matt and another staff member helped me carry out my hanging baskets and plants to my car and loaded my car with a smile. They were very grateful for my business and the pride they showed for their business really showed. Their prices are very reasonable and their assortment is solid. I have always found Bob and his entire staff to be very friendly and helpful. I have had them deliver material when I wasn't home, to the back of my property (4+acres) where I marked where I wanted it with a sign.
