Still a 5-star, family-run farm, but worth an update!…read more For the past two years we've been cutting our own trees here at Swan Farm. This year, since Thanksgiving was so late in the month, we didn't get here quite in time to cut our own. However--we did purchase a pre-cut Scotch Pine that was huge and perfect, for only $48. Their pre-cut trees are brought in from another Ohio farm, and haven't been sitting around since August. Ours was cut maybe a week before we purchased it, not even. Even though picking out and cutting down your own tree is a special treat, snagging one of these pre-cut trees didn't take away from the wonderful experience and customer service. The gal outside walked us over to the Scotch Pines and even helped us measure the tree to make sure it would fit in our house. Once we did pick it out, we were sent inside while they safely secured this huge tree to our car. This is the kind of service I love! Inside, I'm assuming the owner of the farm checked us out--and asked us if we'd been there before. He's always so warm, welcoming and talkative! The little guy was able to warm up with a cup of hot cocoa and a candy cane (free inside!), so he was happy! My favorite tree farm in CLE+!!

We went with a lovely balsam fir. They're pricier, but smell so delightful once inside the home. They even had some pie pumpkins for sale. Asked the boys if they wanted me to make pie and the family were willing to just give us a pumpkin. Also offered cookies and hot cocoa. We were full from our great lunch down the road at Tinkers Creek Tavern, so all we left with was a tree. Great combo, though. If we had more time, we would have started with a hike.

The location is hidden off Terex Rd, but once you take the winding road back towards the lake, you've entered a magical winter wonderland! There's plenty of parking and the staff are extremely courteous and helpful. They have a great selection of pre-cut trees at fair prices (perhaps fair prices for Hudson, as the other tree seller at the center of town was a charitable organization that charged through the roof). Here we take a pull cart, grab a hack saw and go hunt for the perfect tree. They have most every common Christmas tree that you can imagine. We hunted for 90-mins until we found the perfect live tree for the height, width and proportion of a tree we were looking for. Once we cut it down and put it on the cart, we brought the tree back to the main house, paid for the tree and the staffers shook off the leaves, bundled the tree and put it on the roof of my car. My children were entertained by the livestock in the back of the farmhouse. They had a pig, goat and rooster with staff showing off these animals. It's a beautiful tree farm that's very picturesque. We saw three separate families on professional photo shoots. I've been here in two snow storms in years prior and can tell you it really helps the moment. Something so magical about the precious white snow falling as you find the perfect Christmas tree. Like a scene out of a Hallmark Channel movie with a washed up actor from Full House or Doogie Houser.

Bremec is a locally owned garden center with the Cleveland Heights location on Cedar Road. If…read moreyou're checking out many amazing Heights restaurants nearby (like off Cedar on Lee), make Bremec your garden destination! It's a smaller garden center but with huge inventory. This store is open year round with different vibes. In the colder months only the indoor part is open transforming it into an intimate shop. In the summer it's blooming with an extensive outdoor floral selection! You'll find lots of plant treasures! I'd visit store more if you have outdoor plant needs rather than indoor plant needs. Most of the selection are outdoor plants. Outside: Outside you'll find many outdoor plants, trees, and plant pots. A lot of the flowers are in direct sunlight, I'm not sure how they feel about it. Check on their health before bringing them home. I overheard a few customers questioning the same thing. I'm not a plant guru so for all I know they love the sunshine. Find plant pots outside! There are so many to choose from! There are plenty of manager's sales making them 60% off. I purchased ceramic plant pot for 60% off making it $13 something. It looks like it's been handmade and has a lot of character. There's an ode to CLE with the Guardians bridge fragments. These fragments are for garden decorations. I'm low key obsessed with this city architecture so I loved them! It's such an unusual find! Inside: You'll find a lot of treasure inside - wind chimes, nature-inspired, greeting cards, soil, and other plant necessities. Basically, you can build a gift basket here and add a card. It's your one stop shop! My only complaint is that soil choices are limited. I really wanted pothos plant soil. There was only one bag of indoor soil and it was very big. I would have loved to have more selection and various sizes. I either need smaller soil bags or more pothos! Service: Service levels vary. Sometimes super friendly, other times not so much. It all depends on who you interact with at checkout. I noticed that employees outside during my visit were very attentive! Parking: There is a small lot outside the store. The lot gets full quickly on a busy day. There is street parking nearby but it's a bit of a walk. Visit this location for your outdoor plant and gardening needs! Definitely browse the plant pot selections! There are so many to consider taking home!

Being honest., there was probably enough parking for a dozen vehicles in the front lot. Big sign says more parking in the rear so we of course, went back there to be greeted with a man trying to do his job in a forklift almost trying to run us over., many many, many many many piles of stone and masonry, which probably took up the parking spots that we're supposed to be back there as as well as bulk mulch piles, which again took up parking, couldn't tell where to park where you'd be out of the way of them trying to do business. In the meantime, decided to leave we went down the street to Bremecs just west of their location about a mile and dropped $400 between the two of us. I can't even imagine trying to run a business and not leaving enough parking for your customers to come in and buy the stuff that you have for sale. I cannot even imagine. My friend said that they have had numerous other complaints of there being no parking. Why have all this merchandise if your customers aren't gonna be able to come in and buy it? Makes no sense won't be back too many other choices up Ohio. Bremecs, Petities, Gale's garden ctr. Very disappointing.
