The pork belly skin was deliciously crispy and the pork pull-apart juicy and tender, Despite the size of our party (10) there were no errors, delays or issues. Drinks came fast and were very good! The servers were wonderful, efficient and very friendly. I'd recommend this place to anyone and hope were able to return ourselves!

Three of us ordered the sirloin steak, all of us asked for medium-rare, all of them arrived fully brown all the way through. I guess the sauce was OK and the herby chips were nice. All in all, I'd recommend it for a drink but not for a meal, pity because as I said, its a gorgeous little place.

The bar main area is large, clean, in good repair, and well lit. The chairs and stools are comfortable. Three large screen TVs play sport or MTV Classic almost constantly. There at least two overflow rooms and an outside beer garden. The overflow rooms are clean. There are games in the main and north rooms. The bar itself is clean and adorned with sport memorabilia. They have a good selection of draft and bottled beers, and spirits. They have a small selection of bar snacks. There's no hot food, but they are exceptionally willing to help you choose a takeaway and order for you. Taxi service was fast. The clientele are phenomenal. I attended this restaurant with some work colleagues for a Christmas meal. All was well and we were seated in reasonable time and allowed allowed time to peruse the rather satisfactory menu. The problems started when we ordered, they had been busier than usual and didn't have any steak! A member of staff explained that they had had to send a delivery of steak back because it was substandard (hang on, they boast in the menu that they source their steak from carefully approved farms to maintain a high standard). I was told that they had some fillet steak left but that it was reserved for more expensive meals so rather than just paying extra for the fillet steak I would have to order a complete set meal costing rather a lot. We settled for what ever we could find on the menu within our budgets. To be fair the staff were pleasant and helpful in most ways and were not to blame for the mismanagement. At a later date, and after further complaints, we were given vouchers to use if we would return for another meal. We did this and were able to sample the steak which was as excellent a steak as I have experienced.

A thumbs up from them means its definatly worth a return visit. Its also worth mentioning that you don't need to book and that the food came in good time after it was ordered. In some pubs you can be waiting an age but here, despite it being fairly busy the staff were on top of things. The problem is that ASDA cafes used to serve a good variety of good food at a reasonable price but at some stage they decided to out-source to a catering company that obviously set little value on nutrition or quality. Tea and coffee are sold seperate and the cups are given to you from behind the counter once you have paid (and the Tea bag!)- i think this is to stop the 'refils' which I have seen in days gone by be quite the norm here. £8.08 intotal seemed reasonable enough yet after eating it seemed a tad overpriced! The bacon could hardly be cut it was that tough , the sausages were cold & the egg was cold. Had I been on better form I would have asked for our money back but I left nearly half of everything. I have awarded 2 stars as previously I have had nice breakfasts and a couple of lunch 'light bites' here so I know they're capable of better- I just hope this is not how things are usually done these days.
