Yup we were spoil for two days. Subic Bay Yacht Club is located on Rizal Highway Corner Burgos St. It's the first of many hotels you will see. At the time when we there (12/27/17) the hotel was being renovated. They were adding a casino on the second floor of the lobby. Cambusa Resturant on the lower level offer good breakfast buffet and the pool area is great for all ages. SERVICE: Excellent and very friendly. If you're looking for a place to stay in Subic Bay i do recommend staying here. The hotel is walking distance to many good restaurants and 5 to 10 minutes drive to Subic Bay Beach where you and rent jet skis.

To start with, we came for breakfast when there's an ongoing wedding at the veranda. The breakfast buffet is prepared for the wedding guests and not for some ramdom , unexpected guests like us. The headwaiter accomodated us still with merely a 3 minute wait and the lady headwaitress profusely apologized for a very short wait. I perfectly understand the situation . I highly commend the crew for stepping up to the plate of unexpected guests on a very short notice. That is a world class Filipino hospitality for you. Very gracious, polite and extremely accomodating. There's a wide array of Filipino and American foods. The food is thoughtfully cooked, tasty and I will say it again world class. Desserts are awesomely delicious! They are giving us our money's worth. This place is a tourists hidden secret hideaway , a virtual treasure trove of deliciously made Filipino breakfast buffet. The hotel is nicely located in a yacht club ... It has a vantage view of the mountains with some foggy skyline, so pretty and picture perfect. The plank where the yacht docks have a mini esplanade feel to it, great for strolling around and reminiscing... This hotel is certainly worth your buck!

We stayed in the 2 Queen room with ocean view and had a private balcony. We can hear the waves while sleeping. Great working A/C, electric pot for hot water, robes, in room safe, strong shower pressure, clean pool, 2 min walk to baloy beach and other restaurants/resorts. The restaurant was good for breakfast and shakes, NOT for lunch nor dinner. Mediocre Filipino food! The beach front is clean, but at low tide there is a visible pipe that drains out to the ocean from the hotel (sewage?? I don't know just smells like it). I don't know how people can swim in that murky water, best option is the pool. Although someone cleans the short beachfront, trash constantly floats and brought by incoming waves from other resort. Front desk service, restaurant staff, and housekeeping was TOP NOTCH! All were friendly, professional, and greeted us every time (hence the 4 star). 2 min walk from baloy beach, however this is dirtiest active beach I've ever seen. A long stretch of trashy shores - empty trash bags, food wrappers, deadwood, dog-poop, and more. Mangrove is great for the drinks, pool, and view of the bay - that's it! Try driving up north to Bolinao.

The rooms are clean and bed is spacious. It has a regular washroom with basic necessities of bar soap, shampoo and lotion in small tubes. The only world-class and redeeming factor of this hotel is the excellent service from the staff which is superb! They're so courteous. They go an extra - mile to please guests. I also love the free welcome bar of bottled water, chocolate bars and chips. Thus , the 3 stars. There is no hotel elevator. So, if you're a fitness buff, you'll do great traversing the steps of this resort hotel. The view of this hotel is not so great. There is a small expanse of seashore you could walk around. The location is nothing to rave about.... Bunch of other area hotels surround this place. The beach is not pristine but dirty. Had I not been so dead -tired from the long travel last night and have the strength to browse more hotels to go to, I would not step foot on this hotel. Expensive than Marriot's with no continental or buffet breakfast . That's the killer, so overpriced! Added bonus is the sewer pipe seen directly spewing to the beachfront... This place could benefit from some filtration plant for their sewage!

Relaxing, hidden, and far away from the hustle and bustle of Manila. Despite the distance, this…read moreresort was worth the 3.5 hour drive from Metro Manila. Crystal Beach is in the town of San Narciso in the Province of Zambales. The resort features air-conditioned rooms, cottages, and beachside camping tents. They also have WiFi in the main area. There are a few bon fire pits and grilling stations for anyone to use. We opted for a day entrance just to experience the food, beach huts, and the sand. The admission fee, parking, and cost of food were very reasonable. The long journey from Manila definitely made us hungry. We decided to try out their restaurant located in the main common area. Seating was easy and we also chose the table closest to the fan for comfort. We ordered sisig, tuna salpicao, halo-halo, rice, and sinigang na hipon. The sisig has a nice mix of crunch with a citrus-pepper marinade. The tuna salpicao was tender and flavorful. The shrimp sinigang, which is a true Filipino favorite, was sour and savory. Halo-halo came last as a dessert. The bowl was filled with various sweet toppings and a generous scoop of ube ice cream. Post lunch coma started to kick-in and we decided to relax in one of the many beachside huts. Beach chairs were available along with the perfect view of the mountains and blue waters. The beach was almost empty and quiet. There are available surfboard rentals and surfing lessons for anyone seeking to ride the small waves. Showers are available near the common area. I would recommend this resort to anyone seeking a tranquil escape.

A HIDDEN GEM! A must go retreat for family, big groups, honeymooners, quick getaway, etc! Only less…read morethan 3 hour drive from Manila. The road going towards the resort is so narrow. You would not think this didn't go anywhere! We actually tried booking through Airbnb but they only limit it to sixteen people; or I think Airbnb's requirement. The representative told us to communicate through Facebook instead as we needed a big group reservations for 30 as their description on Airbnb stated they can accommodate up to 30 people! Easy reservations with them via phone and the best place to go so far since visiting the main island! The resort has their own farm of fruits and veggies so everything is fresh and depends on the season; they can only make certain meals during the season. Food is pretty decent. We reserved the villa for our stay called - 'Sta. Teresita Villa' where it has its own private infinity pool. The villa has its own kitchen, two and half bathrooms and two bedrooms. It has great views! It was so awesome! We all didn't want to leave!! We also rented additional rooms that had outdoor jacuzzi's. You can order set meals for 5 or 10 or ala carte. Just to let you know, if you are used to American portions, you may have to order more than average. They have fresh buko drinks, too. They plan to add a zip lines in the resort. I can't wait! Tips to remember: - Weather is still very warm here so don't over dress. OK, I mean HOT and humid! - Bring bug spray especially during rainy season. Bugs are huge here!! Bring slippers! - pools have overhead covers so even if rained on, you can still swim. Bring waterproof camera bags. - No wifi except in the lobby. Free wifi. 3G goes on and off within the resort so good luck! No use coming here if you are working! - It's easy to use Waze to get here but leaving, make sure to start the Waze while using the wifi in the lobby or it won't turn on till a few km's out! Remember how you got there. - They do accept credit cards. - Bring snacks or drinks as their snack bar is limited. - Make sure to explore the resort, their crops and their pet snakes! - They do have a few blackouts. - Wake up before sunset to check out the lake and mountain views! Bring your good cameras! Also, love the weather in the morning! For my 650th review, I am dedicating it to Noni's Resort! Staff were very accommodating and super friendly for our big group! Prices were pretty good for our staff and what was offered. I will definitely recommend anyone to check them out and stay for a quick weekend getaway! You won't regret it! [69/100]
