Besides the grocery store near my house, this is probably the grocer I visit most in the summer months. It's at the base of UT-150, better known as the Mirror Lake Highway, and it's just what you need when you're headed out for an adventure. I've talked about their connection to the highway before (summary: you can buy a $45 annual pass at their service counter) but I need to give them another shoutout. Over the last five years since my second review, I've been in countless times for pre-camp or pre-hike supplies. You know--the things you forget, or the junky things you get just because. I've stopped here for dinner a few times, but if you get there later than about 4pm, the selection of pre-made sandwiches, deli items, etc is pretty slim. And, to be honest, that's one area where I think they can improve. Not just the selection, but the care and quality that goes into those things. I mean, if I had my druthers, I'd stop at a local restaurant for food, but since I often come through town after dinner time on a Friday night after finishing work for the week, I want to get something quick! The magic is also with the gas station in that regard. I almost always fuel up here, even if I already have a nearly full tank. When I head up and out for 4WD adventures, the last thing I want is to have to turn back because of fuel worries. That little gas station just keeps on providing great drinks and a quick fuel. Add that to a grocery store that can help you grab things you may have forgotten (marshmallows!) and you've got a 1-2 punch that preps you for adventure. read more

This cute little country store definitely caters to the folks coming from out of town to hike, camp or fish. The moment you enter the store, you're bombarded with floor to ceiling shelves of outdoor supplies. This is great if that's what you're here for. We stopped by to pick up a few key ingredients for our planned hot-dog roasting dinner. Everything we needed was quickly found and we were able to check out and be on our way. Our cashier was friendly got us taken care of fast. My only complaint would be that the prices seemed to be a bit high. That may be because they are capitalizing on the tourists, or it may be that there are higher costs associated with a store in a remote town. Either way, no big deal. Its very frustrating the lack of COVID precautions this grocery store is taking. Employees and many shoppers refuse to wear a mask. In fact some even have a mask but just wear it on their chin? What good does that do? I think for the safety of us all this place should be shut down by summit county until they can regulate people wearing masks. Its not a big ask. read more

Kamas food town needs to put there money into better stuff like fixing there parking lot holes. Fix there ceilings, take care of pests and Insect problems. The deli food isn't good, the chicken tenders are often not cooked all the way.These are all things that should be taken care. read more

It seems like this place opened not too long ago. The market is pretty big with a decent selection of anything you might need. My hubby and I stocked up on food here before we headed up to our cabin. They had a nice selection of hot food from the deli and while their bakery section was small, they had a lot of goodies. They had a pretty good variety of pre-packages sandwiches, meat/cheese platters, and all kinds of quick meal types. I got some of the best cheese curds here in cheese section at the back of the store. I wish they had a little more variety in the fruit but understandable that it might be hard to get up there. This is a good stop to stock up on foods for the mountains or for a day trip and they have fishing gear available at the front of the store. read more

you might think that with the obscene high extortion pricing they might wash and clean the produce, nope, dirt on the produce , aged corn , and when you tell someone, cashier, she tells you nothing, just keeps to herself and says do what you want. first time back after avoiding shopping here for two years, just had to pick up some produce. never again. and no pix of the peppers, gross you out. read more

The cashier greeted everyone as we entered the store. Clean bathrooms. Good parking. I don't know about their prices because we didn't buy anything. I asked about magazines, especially a local one with homes for sale, but they don't carry any; they referred me to the drug store. I like this grocery store. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the prices are okay and they have most of what you would need as well as a good pharmacy staff. HOWEVER, the music they play is awful! I think they would get more business if they didn't make people want to run out of the store from the music they play which is pretty loud for a grocery store...think terrible 90's Madonna followed by Cotton Eyed Jo and then maybe some Rap or Boys 2 Men. read more

One of the reasons I love shopping here is the small-town, personable vibe. Staff and customers alike are super friendly - so much so that when I was exchanging pleasantries with an adorable older gentleman in the parking lot, I got distracted and locked my keys in the truck of my car. Along with my cell phone. Doh! The insanely kind girl working at the service desk went above and beyond to get me straightened out. I wish there was more of that thoughtfulness in the world. (I didn't catch her name, but to the brunette working at the service desk around 4 pm on 08/22/2015 - Thank you thank you thank you! May you find $20 on the ground and have random strangers compliment your hair. Btw, I finally did find something to read, and my husband came by not too longer after that with the spare key to my car :) Aside from the service, it's decently stocked for a small town store, and I always find awesomely unique selections in their beverages. read more

I live here and I still drive to Heber or Park City and still save money despite the 30 miles round trip

Stopped on the way to fish. Friendly staff. They have a little of everything which helps if have forgotten supplies at home. We stopped in at 2PM. Too late for lunch, too early for dinner, yet the hot case food was hot and fresh!! You never see that. Eating area is spotless. You could eat right off the tables. This will be a regular stop from now on. All the employees we came into contact were very kind. read more

It was really cramped at Food Town, It felt like I was playing bumper cars with everyone else because I could barely get around without hitting someone or something. The people were nice and we seemed to get checked out relatively quickly, considering how many people were waiting to checkout. The prices were a bit steep but that is expected in a small town. read more
