This was a new and wonderful experience. The service was great. The server had no problem being patient with me as I discovered the items on the menu. (Some in which I needed help pronouncing). my family and i were stopping by memphis and saw this place on yelp. we arrived at 0835 pm and there was a 30 min wait time. finally got seated around 0910pm. the server came to our table telling us that the kitchen is about to close and that we need to order ASAP. felt like we were rushed. ambiance of the restaurant is ok, floor is sticky and restrooms need extra cleaning. i ordered the black tonkotsu. the broth was actually good but i think the noodles they serve is mediocre. chasu was dry and chewy. needs more marinating, it has no flavor at all. my bro ordered the original tonkotsu and it was super salty. their water has a bleach taste. the ramen left some weird after taste in my mouth, like i have just taken a medicine syrup or something. nothing special about this place. idk why this has 4.5 stars. would def not come back here read more

Wow! I eat at many ramen joints all over the world and wasn't expecting much judging off the strip mall exterior. They have Vegan Creamy Ramen Broth that is the best I've tasted outside of Japan! Had a very bad experience eating there yesterday. The service there is far away below the average. From the begining, I asked for a bottle of warm water, but I got a glass of iced water. Ok, that's not a big deal. I can take it. We totally have three people and there was not enough chopsticks on the table. So we asked for some more. But the waiter (the boy weared black T shirt) seems didn't care about his work at all, he just concentrated on chatting with another waitress. We waited for a long time, he was just talking and talking. So we had to pick up the chopsticks on the table with no one sitting with by ourselves. Of course there are no bowls or plates for us when the appetizers served. The dishes were very hot, we had to hold them with chopsticks all the time after a bit which was really annoying. Finally, seems they do not have any quality control on the food. I can understand the noodles are frozen. But the noodles in my bowl were not fully spread before boiling, so they glued together and the core of the "massy " was not fully cooked at all. All of these things disappointed me a lot. I wasn't impressed at all with the food they serve here (I got take out). It's pretty bland, not to mention the appetizer and kid meal I got included green salad that was brown and rotten. So disgusting! The broth for the ramen was just sour, no flavor to it. The curry tasted like they only added some Madras curry powder into the ingredients, so it didn't have any depth to it. I had a good experience. I got there and all the tables were taken at the time but I only had to wait 15 mins before they called me and called us in. We were sat down and the waitress that we had was quick, respectful, and attentive. She got our food out faster than I could say "appetizer". There are a good amount of options in the way of ramen as well as a few non-ramen items. I got an order of a pork chashu bun and an order of the goyu ramen. The bun was fantastic and fluffy. The goyu ramen was easily customizable and very good. The New York strip included could have been a little less cooked but the only complaint is that the price quickly counts up. My Dr. Pepper was $2.50 and the goyu ramen was upwards to $13. My meal for two quickly added up to $56. But now that I'm prepared for the check, I'll gladly show up again read more

Me and my friend wanted to support a local restaurant for lunch and this place popped up! We LOVED it! Jae (spelling) was our waiter and helped inform us about all the delicious dishes they served! We took his recommendations and got some Pork Gyoza, Kami bun (with special sauce courtesy of Brittany), Chicken curry, and Shoyu ! We were not disappointed! This place has got to be a joke. This is NOT authentic ramen. I have never seen sliced white onions in ramen. Why would you have fried and regular white onion in one dish? The broth was flavorless and made me think of left over boiled spaghetti water. Please go take some cooking classes to improve. I'd suggest calling the food network to bring in a chef to judge and give tips. read more

So far, I'm impressed with this place. Ever since Tycoon on Kirby Parkway closed, I've been hard pressed to find another asian spot who does soup noodle like they did. This place isn't as good as they were, but it is most certainly the next in line to be my favorite noodle soup spot. I had the Chicken Curry Ramen but added chili oil to it cos I like my soup spicy. Not that it needed the added flavor, as the broth was plenty flavorful, the ingredients were fresh, and it came came out nice and hot out of the pot. It was cloudy with a slight chill outside that day and this meal really warmed the soul!...That being said, I was a tad dismayed that they didnt have any saki which struck me as a bit strange but it was not a deal breaker either. Oh and my server was on point too (though the girl at the front counter seemed a bit cold and did not greet me when I came in) With all that being said, i can't wait to go back to try the spicy chicken ramen I've been hearing so much about. read more

Stopped here with a couple of friends since we were in town. Ordered the Tonkatsu ramen, and it was decent. Can't go wrong with ramen. We also gotten the oyakodon and the guidon along with some kaarage and takoyaki. The chicken in the Oyakodon was done alright, but barely had any egg if any was put in it. Also the rice at the bottom of the bowl was literally drenched in the soup that the chicken was stewed in that by the end of the meal, the rest of the rice turned into a porridge. Maybe cut down on the soup/stew, and just a bed of white rice next time. The guidon kind of turned out the same way too, just way too much stew/broth that we could literally just eat the meat and have so much rice left over. Appetizers came in a little bit late. The kaarage chicken was kind of burnt so that was a bit disappointing. Either it was left on the fryer for a bit too long or maybe sub for not breading it with rice flour next time since it burns a little bit more easily. Chicken was seasoned ok, I can taste the ponzu marinade but it needed something fatty like a mayo because it was a bit salty/acidic for my taste. The takoyaki could've used a mayo as well. Overall the flavors were there. Could've been better. read more
