We were on our way to Costco when we came across this place for lunch. When you walk in there's a kiosk setup to place your order. They will ask if you are takeout or dine in once it's placed. We decided to dine in. Once we sat down someone brought out our utensils and drinks we ordered. I ordered a grapefruit lemonade which was very refreshing. I loved how it asks how sweet you want it. My husband ordered some sushi rolls which tasted pretty good. I ordered the shrimp bento box because of all that came in it. The shumai was good and the rangoons were stuffed really good. Just a little overcooked making the wrapper a little hard, but the inside was perfect. I don't eat Cali rolls so my husband ate it. The shrimp was cooked perfect and not overpowered by the sauce. Now the sushi was not horrible, just extremely bland. Even the "hot and spicy" rolls had no flavor. The spicy tuna roll has zero flavor. Had the volcano roll. It was a mushy hot mess! It's offered as fried tempura roll filled with avocado, cream cheese and crab. The outside tempura was too soft. There was no substance or flavor to it. The roll needs texture on the inside like green onion and Serrano peppers. Also the breading needs to be changed to panko for a more crunchier texture! Came here for lunch with a coworker (July 16) and the food was great! I ordered the Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp lunch and it came with fried rice, vegetables, clear soup, and a simple salad. So I saw this place had a 10% discount for FedEx employees, which is basically tax back, so one Friday lunchtime, a group of us decided to go try it out. I got the Tempura platter (6 generous pieces) which was pretty decent and the Winchester Roll and agreed with my colleague's assessment who got the same roll, that the cream cheese should have been whipped or mixed with some sort of chives because as it was now, the cream cheese overwhelmed the rest of the roll. One of my colleagues who got the Chicken Hibachi said the meat was cold and the soup was weak tasting and not much flavor to it. Another colleague who got the Tempura Combo roll, said that the rolls were decent (the sweet potato roll with cucumber and avocado was the best of the bunch) but the accompanying miso was just average taste - no oomph to it. The fourth and final diner was also disappointed in both his sushi rolls that he had ordered. For him, the namesake Sumo roll had nothing outstanding flavor-wise (and especially for something which is a namesake sushi roll, he was expecting it be something special) and then the Winchester Roll (misspelled on the menu) had too much cream cheese, as I mentioned previously. Wow! The sushi here had a little something that I wasn't expecting, especially for a small place. Quality was in line with the big, fancy places, if not a little bit better. It's partial service which means you order at the counter, but they bring it to your table. I ordered 3 rolls for $12 I think and I also ate an order of crispy beef wraps which are really beef wontons. Check out the color of the tuna! It's dark red. It was fatty and delicious. I'm looking online and I can't really decide what that color means. It's probably a bluefin. When meat is fresh and exposed to the oxygen, the myoglobin causes it's color to change to dark red and then brown, so it could be an indication of freshness. We know that no sushi is fresh in terms of never been frozen. It's actually required that it be frozen to kill parasites. At any rate, the freezing process doesn't affect the process of oxidation. What does affect oxidation is gassing the fish with carbon monoxide. This causes it to retain its color for appearance even after the fish has spoiled. So without knowing for sure if the fish was fresh or gassed, it did have a brilliant color and tasted good. The smoked salmon in the philly roll also tasted great. The shrimp tempura roll was excellent too. I really liked the beef wontons which they call the crispy beef wrap. I found they were better to dip into the miso broth than in the sauce they came with. I ate 3 rolls, an appetizer, had tea, and paid tax for just under $20. I think that's good. The place is very nice, but it's a bit small. There's no ice or soda machine. The iced tea is pre packaged in a styrofoam cup with no ice. There aren't many tables. There's only one bathroom so beware. I'm pretty sure I didn't see alcohol. I'm not complaining about any of these things. Just pointing them out. Oh. And I'll be back! read more

Order was ready in a timely manner and accurate. Clear soup was a light clean broth packed with fresh mushrooms, scallions, and fried onions. The bento came with fried rice. I prefer steamed rice which it should normally come with but I suppose do to demographics it's fried unless you ask for steamed rice. The fried rice was okay and the salmon was a nice portion but no flavor. The spicy crawfish hand roll was hands down the best item I ordered. Super fresh and spicy! I'm a frequent customer to this establishment but today I will no longer patronize due to the young man they had working the register. When I called & placed my order he kept trying to rush me off the phone which annoyed me. When I get there to pick up my order it's incorrect. I told him I wanted a volcano roll with 2 side orders of the hibachi vegetables and he could put the 2 side orders of vegetables in the same container. Well I get there and they have my sushi roll but he rung my order up as if I wanted 2 of the hibachi vegetable meals. I told them that's not what I told him over the phone and he insisted I did. I corrected him and told I specifically said the hibachi vegetables by itself. So he proceeds to take a deep breath and blows air as if I've irritated him because he rang my order incorrectly.
