Bait and switch. This guy told me he took my insurance and then informed me my insurance didnt cover. Given I had an emergency, I paid in full. I called my insurance and they told me he should have charged my insurance but he didnt. Why? because he is not happy with the amount insurance pays him. I will be suing him shortly yo recover what he owes me. read more

I've been coming to Dr.Hakim's dental office for some years now. I've had root canals,fillings and even a tooth implant. Fortunately, my latest visit only consisted of a general check up and teeth cleaning. I signed in at the front desk and was called up by one of his assistants rather quickly. Once in the back, X-rays were taken and I was finally seated on a dental chair. As with many people, Im also terrified of visiting the dentist. Luckily, Dr.Hakim is very friendly and open to feedback which really helps put me at ease. He kept me informed of what he was doing at all times and would even tell me what type of sensation I would be feeling! Overall I've had very positive experiences here and I plan on returning. Misleads you into thinking your insurance wouldn't cover something or a certain procedure isn't ideal, then offers alternative treatment that isn't covered, which of course comes out of your pocket. I wanna start off by saying that i am pertrified of dentists. I have had numerous horrifying experiences which has kept me from going to the dentist for almost 7 years. My wisdom tooth had come out and it also broke off causing me to be in extreme pain. I decided to go to Dr. Hakims office in hopes that i would be comfortable enough to let him work on my mouth. Dr. Hakim was very inviting and very personable. He made me feel at ease and he made sure that I was ok throughout the whole procedure. He answered all of my questions even when i asked them over and over again . He is very professional and took care of business in my mouth . He removed my wisdom tooth and did 2 fillings and i was no where close to the pain i was expecting to have. His office staff was very nice and sympathetic to my needs.I will def. b going back to Dr. Hakim for the rest of my dental work. All this great reviews below are fake. Let me tell you my experience with this father and Son office. Even if you have dental insurance, You end up paying more that what the insurance pays. Dr. Hakim charges you the last penny that you have. I was a customer for a couple of year and then I took my wife and daughter, to make the story short, I was paying up to 8,000-10,000 per year for crowns, root canals work etc, You pretty much pay half for these kind of works. Even if you become a loyal customer he won't give you discounts at all. Dr Hakim also has an office in Bell Gardens, which is ran by his son or himself.
