I had the most amazing experience. The server was SOOOO nice. The workers were all super friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, made me feel amazing and I'm a bodybuilder and eat super clean. The ambiance was great even though it was just the owners (maybe) and another party there on a cold Monday night.

I visited for the first time in early March 2023 with some friends to celebrate a friend's 29th birthday. They are known for their hookah which a few of my friends ordered. I don't smoke so I didn't try it. AMBIANCE -- I love the ceiling details and all the middle eastern decorations inside the restaurant. It almost felt as if I was in Lebanon or Egypt even though I have never traveled to North Africa or West Asia. FOOD -- We all shared the family plate and the restaurant was able to split the bill between all of us. We got meat and aide dishes plus pita bread. It was all a big spread. I enjoyed the Kofta which is a lamb and/or beed skewer. The white rice was also so good that I can't describe. It was light and fluffy with some sort of herb in it. I also enjoyed the Tabouli (Tabbouleh) salad. SERVICE -- Excellent. The waitress checked on our table numerous times. Overall, I'll be back. This is a huge restaurant which sometimes plays live music but since COVID-19, they have lost business, according to a waitress, so it isn't as busy as it used to be. **** - 48/150 total reviews in 2023 - 599 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 30 March 2023

T a x F r a u d A l e r t ! The funny thing is that if they would have taken care of the issue, I would have never found out about it, I usually don't even look at the receipt... This is what happened: On the way home a couple of days ago, I Googled a certain type of food and went in to this restaurant for the first time ever and ordered "Take Out" a couple of their most expensive dishes for my wife and I, since we were both tired and didn't feel like cooking. First of all, The service SUCKS, and that was the "owner"! Anyhow, I waited about 24 minutes for the food and then he brought only one of the dishes and says: "here you go..." After he sees the puzzled look on my face, he realizes the he is one order short. Without any apologies or any sense of urgency, he says to me to wait 10 minutes and he will have the second one ready. I explained to him that the first one is going to be cold by the time the second one is ready he just says: "that's ok". I guess he didn't care because he was not the one that is going to eat it! As per laws of physics, when it takes 24 minutes to cook something, it will not take the same thing 10 minutes. It would be either undercooked or they would cook on higher flame and burn the outside of the meat. In any case, I told him to cook both new or just refund me the money. That's when he (the owner) became VERY belligerent and told me that he would refund only one. I told him that I came for two orders and I don't want one hot and one cold. This went on for a few minutes and it was escalating, so I just left the said that I'll dispute the charge with my CC company and he kept on and on about how everything is on camera, which I was happy about, since it would show that I ordered two and he brought out just one. Got in my car and called my wife to say that I'll be a bit late and then called the 800# on the back of my card and then the fun began. I looked at the receipt and realized the they Took the order as "Dine In" and not only they "charged me tax on ToGo food, there was an 18% Gratuity charge also!!?? Anyway, the charge is going to be refunded once it changes from "pending" to "posted", in about 7-10 days, and I'll be filling Form 3949-A online with IRS so they can audit all their sales for last seven years. My family took me here last night for my birthday dinner. I must say this place did not disappoint. I will definitely be coming back here. The decor is so amazing, there is so much to look at. The staff is very friendly. Our waitress was a sweetheart and she was on the go. It wasn't too busy when we arrived but it was getting busier as we were leaving. My sister and her hubby had been here before and recommended it. They have hookah here as well. We opted for family style for 6 of us. Omg there was so much food! We all ate a lot! We still had enough leftovers to bring home 3 containers. I had one, my sis had one and my other sister and her hubby took the third home. Everything was so flavorful. We all opted for water and were brought out bottled water. They give you as much pita as you want. The hummus is authentic. I told my daughter who is half middle eastern when she comes to town we need to come here. The meat is so tender too. We really enjoyed all of the food and it's such a chill place. The couch seats were very comfortable and they had regular chairs on the other side. They have a bakery on one side of the restaurant. I'll have to check it out too. We decided to try a piece of baklava to share since we were stuffed. Omg!! It was the best I've ever had. Don't sleep on this place!

Very clean and pleasant place. The pastries are amazing. I had the peanut Baklava, which was simply delightful. Ordered the Shawarma plate with meat and the meat pie, just amazing. The gentleman who was so pleasant, with warm and genuine service. I love "mom and pop" places and this is one of them. Bonus after 4 PM they have a hookah/bar/dinning area where you can bring some friends. If you are a hookah lover like me, this is the spot!

Baklava and Lady Fingers. We are a lot.

Was driving by and stopped in for pastries. We had enjoyed eating here, Middle Eastern style, and knew the pastries were good, too. We took out Baklava, which is not as sweet as Greek, and has a different spice, with or without nuts, and it tasted good. We also got the Lady Fingers. They were rolled filo dough filled with chopped pistachios, spices and honey. Delicious. There were other pastries and meat sandwiches for take out. When in Ohio City, stop in. Cold drinks were in the cooler.

Came by for lunch, from the outside the restaurant looks closed but the bakery next to it has an open sign so we checked it out. Interior is heavily decorated and they have live arabic dj on the weekends. They have hookahs also. Anyway, food was surprisingly delicious! If you want some Mediterranean flavor check this place out. Sevice was great and friendly. All entrees came with salad and basmati rice we tried the shawarma lamb plate and their bestseller chicken Shish Tawook. All meats are tender, well seasoned and Reasonable price. Happy Tummy! Would love to be back.

Uuuuuummm.... Food was good!! But I was not into everything else sadly. Let me list the issues: 1. Smell. The place reeked of tobacco, which at a hookah bar is fine and expected. But while eating, a bit unappetizing. There needs to be a solution for that, like not smoking where you dine patrons? 2. Service. The young girl helping out (high school age maybe) seem to really resent working there, and outwardly acted like it. But when the older lady/manager took over, she was pretty MIA and not very good at answering questions about if the meat was kafta or shawarma, which seems strange for a middle eastern restaurant to not know the difference. 3. Automatic gratuity. For the one hour we were there for lunch, we were the ONLY patrons. 2 girls ordering a salad and two pies. 15% wtf?? Honestly if they hadn't done automatic, I always do 20%. So really there just hurting themselves while trying to not hurt themselves. 4. Food was good don't get me wrong. But I've had better. I honestly don't mind that they had their kids there. It's a family owned place. And the location and layout and decor were actually very nice. Too bad all the other things overshadowed the couple good things.

You can still smoke hookah inside? Hell Yes. This was fun. I didn't eat, but joined a group later on for some cheap Lebanese beer, hookah, and watching some sexy tango. Ooh la la! Friendly service here, we were the last people in the place and didn't feel like we were being kicked out. Or maybe we did, if turning the music off and putting Seinfeld on the TV's was their subtle hint. Either way, we sat in some nice comfy booths and enjoyed everything about the place. I'd probably come back to these booths for some PDA.

I was staying a night in Cleveland and was looking for some halal food and I found this place in town "Middle Eastern style restaurant ". So when I left to check out the downtown... which was dark and dead after 7ish I believe! I started looking for this place and vola found it. My first impression was it was quite big as the area was big and they had parking. As I went in, there were 2 sections one for take-out and the other area was a shisha lounge. We couldn't sit there as I had family & kids due to smoke from shisha inside the lounge area. Then we did take out. The service was fast and didn't take long for them to get the food ready and it was fresh and hot. We ordered a bunch shawarama wraps and plates with a zatar pizza which was huge and we were expecting bread with zatar spread but it was an actual pizza. You might ask what zatar is? Well it's a a blend of herbs, sesame and salt. The food was packed nicely and stayed warm till the hotel. The meat was cooked properly and tasted good as well zatar pizza. All in all the food was good and it wasn't heavy on the pocket either.

There were several staff members moving in and out of the waiting area, but only one asked me about my order and reassured me that it would be coming out shortly twice, though I still ended up waiting 20+ minutes after these reassurances. To be fair, this restaurant is within walking distance of the convention center, and several conference attendees grabbed lunch here that day, but I was hoping that ordering ahead could mitigate some of the wait time. Some fellow conference attendees also noted the extremely long wait time for their sit-down meals: several of them had to immediately take their food to go once it arrived to make it back to the convention center, despite the two-hour lunch break we had. As for the food, the mujadara was pretty yummy! I enjoyed the fried onions on top, though they were pretty limp and soggy by the time I could eat it. The lentils were a bit on the hard side, and the side of pickled turnips I ordered was pretty small but added to the meal. I did really enjoy the pillowy pita that was included, and the sumac olive oil dip was pretty good as well.
