After a friend picked up a box of assorted pies, I knew I had to try Oasis. This is a true family owned neighborhood spot. Nothing fancy, but delicious food worth waiting for a it's prepared fresh and served perfectly hot. The spinach and feta pie is beautifully crafted. Though the ingredients are simple, the care in perfectly seasoning each component comes together to create a delicious light pie with welcome brightness and delicious layers of texture from spinach, creamy feta, and pillowy bread. An Oasis indeed! This restaurant had the freshest food I'd eaten all week. The bread tasted like it had just been taken out of the oven. The chicken shawarma was so so delicious! It was almost a foot long and was stuffed with fresh ingredients. The chicken was so tender and the veggies complemented it amazingly. The cheese pie was like the best part of cheesy bread. The spinach and feta pie was delicious as well. The flour was still on the outside of the dough . The grape leaves were such a good deal! For less than $4 I got six stuffed leaves. I cannot recommend Oasis more! I would call ahead to get your food as fresh as possible without having to wait. read more

Get your manoushe from here! I miss oven baked breads from the Middle East on a daily basis. When I went to Cleveland, EVERYONE told me to stop by here. I literally felt like I walked back into a bakery in Lebanon and the zaatar flat bread (manouche) brought me back home! I will go to oasis every time I am in Cleveland now! read more

I can no longer support this business. Too many times now I have arrived during hours they are supposed to be open only to discover a closed restaurant. Most recently I called on a Saturday at 11:30am to make sure they were open and was greeted with a "who is this?". Um okay, it's a dang customer who the heck do you think it is?! I came in anyways to find out they were only making flatbread pies that day. No shawarma, no hummus, nothing from the grill or cooler. WTF. You couldn't tell me that on the phone when I called? 90% of the menu you can't make and your restaurant is closed more often than not, how are you still in business?! The food was good, but this is too much BS to put up with. Don't waste your time here, there are tons of other places where you can get good Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food from a RELIABLE owner. read more

I stopped by for breakfast today! This is a spot my husband and I love, and we stop by here regularly. We always call ahead to order so that when we get there we wont wait too long. Food here is hand made by a family who's owned this place for awhile. It always good when the ladies are working the food and the service. However when the actual owner is working food can taste different and he is a bit rude, so be warned. Always call ahead for hours as they have spotty times. We ordered zaetar, egg and cheese then regular cheese fatira, its like Arabic breakfast pizza almost. It is always filling and we ALWAYS have left overs to take back. Adega is the classy new Mediterranean restaurant at the 9. I am not going to check it out. I prefer to support family businesses like Oasis Bakery in the heart of Lakewood. I also have less of a chance of running into Johnny Manziel at Oasis which is a blessing. I was disappointed when La Pita Express closed down a few years ago. Oasis took over the location and is doing a great job at providing excellent Lebanese food to the community. The meat is delicious and halal. The falafel and tabouli are great vegetarian options. Oasis is slightly closer than the many great Middle Eastern places on Lorain Ave so I will dine here a lot. I have not had a bad meal. If somebody suggests Aladdin's or Taza, tell them no and go to Oasis. read more

I'm Lebanese and my family is ultra picky about the quality of flatbread: this guy makes it how it should be made, THIN and baked just right piping hot. I strongly suggest it with meat or cheese or both. My family has tried a bunch of different places and this guy is the only place around that meets their standards. Other places I have been to make the dough super thick or the taste is "off". I was pretty impressed and the price is really reasonable too! read more

I can't believe I just tried this place for the first time. I've been going to Prana Bodhi yoga and walk by this place all the time and it never occurred to me to stop in until a friend recommended that I try it. Great place to come for manaeesh, my favorite is the zaatar. The bread is perfectly toasted and crisp, just like how grandma used to make. Prices are unbeatable and so are the flavors! The owner is very friendly. There is street parking available, which shouldn't be a problem. Go get manaeeeesh! read more

Never had Mediterranean meat pies but now I'm hooked. Kind of reminds me of Chinese meat pies. Nice portions, decent prices.

Maybe it was too close to closing, maybe it was a bad day, maybe service with a half-smile is too retro - I wanted to like this place...we had the meat & cheese pies, it was late and all they had were pies... we got it to-go and it went... all over our winter coats in the car. They were drippy pies. The cheese was OK. The coats are in the washer now (1.75 each)...drying should be another .50... I tipped 3 bucks, the bill was 10. I gotta stop tipping. The Pepsi was great! Everybody gets a chance, it was truly an Oasis of drippy grease. read more

Great, truly authentic and quality food. Hummus is the best I've ever had. Love the kafka. I just wish tea was on the menu because I think some version of what us English speakers call chai would go amazingly with everything on the menu. They have vegetarian options that don't make you miss meat. But they also have great meat items. Chicken shwarma! read more

This is a hidden gem in Cleveland and it has the most authentic Middle Eastern pies I've had in the states in years. Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, the food is amazing and very authentic. extreme disappointment. The establishment was super warm when I walked in, despite it being a beautiful day outside. The next red flag was when I ordered the shish tawook plate, and upon seeing the cook put the chicken on the flat top instead of grilling it. I wanted to eat in, but there were no chairs on the tables inside the place, and I asked the cashier how was i supposed to eat in when there were no chairs. He didn't seem too concerned nor did he go and find me chairs. I told him never mind, I would eat in my car. Although I have lived in Lakewood for almost 4 years I just realized this place existed two weeks ago. I have been twice and each time the food has been amazingly delicious. Their hummus is to die for. It seems to be just one older gentleman running the place and he is an excellent cook. It is worth a visit, order the dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) and hummus.
