I introduced myself, and without any hello I was curtly told to be seated, they would help me when they were free. It turned out that one of the ladies was a client, and they were having a catch-up chat. Shortly after I sat down, the older lady started speaking with me, then rolled her eyes and insisted I come back to the glass wall, a few feet from where I was seated. She was very curt, no greeting of any sort, just wanted to know why I was there. She seemed completely confused, and actually said she had no idea what I was booked for, which made me feel a bit suspicious. She interrupted me mid-sentence to tell me I was making a mess and I had to take off my boots, still rolling her eyes and huffing. I told her I was concerned that they did not seem to have my booking, and that I wasn't feeling very welcome so far. This really made her upset, and she insisted in a very shrill voice that she was being professional. The whole situation was ridiculous. I couldn't imagine what she would be like once the treatment began, given this horrid pre-bedside manner, so I left without going any further. I learned from calling the other office that this lady is the manager, and I got the distinct impression that complaints about her are nothing new.
