I've been to other laser hair removal clinics and the speed and lack of detail was disappointing. I highly recommend DermaLuxe. If you can tolerate some laser pain, this is great. The cooling tip on the laser helps a lot, and some sensitive areas I use numbing cream, but overall, it's not a bad experience. Less painful than waxing for sure.

When I had my consultation she told me it would probably be 6-8 treatments and after 8 the rate would be decreased by a bit (I think somewhere between 5 and 15 dollars less after 8 treatments). I had at least 14 treatments from her and never got the discounted rate after my 8th treatment, if I did it was only one or two of them, but I've kept most of the receipts from my appointments with her and all of them are the same. I understand that everyone is different and that maybe she misjudged the treatments and I needed way more then originally thought but she never discussed that with me which is why I've stopped going, throwing away over $1000 in treatments because I lost my trust in her and started to feel as though she wasn't being straight with me. She was usually very polite with me and professional, I enjoyed talking with her. Two things that bothered me though was if her cell phone rang she would answer it: sometimes it was clients, sometimes it was friends of hers and she would have a short conversation and get back to our appointment. I realize she runs the business by herself but a lot of the time I went before work or before needing to go elsewhere and I remember one appointment she took three calls and I wasn't very happy that I was 15 minutes late to where I needed to be after laser. She also would take the gel to put on the skin before the laser in its large, heavy container and just pour it on you which was extremely uncomfortable as its very cold gel (she had Popsicle sticks that she would spread the gel with, I didn't understand why she couldn't pour it on the stick then apply it... Sure it would take an extra minute but that would be far more comfortable for her clients) and also some of the containers were large (she had to use both hands, some were not small bottles but rather bulky containers) and full of gel, if she was to drop the container on you? Never mind the mess, it's just not safe. Perhaps I'm just a small majority that laser doesn't work right on, but I do think as the provider of a service she needs to communicate with her clients and if she would have said to me "I know I said it'd be 6-8 treatments but I misjudged that and it'll be a few more then expected" at least then she would be straight with me and I wouldn't be wondering why I'm not seeing the results I see on other people who go elsewhere for laser hair removal. I also just think it's wrong she didn't honor the discount she promised during our consultation, if you're going to say that after a certain amount that a client will get a reduced price, the client should get that reduced price. I understand laser hair removal is different for everyone, and that sometimes it takes longer for some people then it does others or just doesn't really work for some. For me it's the lack of communication throughout: I'd go to appointments and be confused about if I needed another treatment, if I'd finally get the discounted rate, etc. Maybe I should have brought up that she mentioned a discount after 8 treatments but I felt awkward about doing that and also felt like as a business owner she should know and it would maybe be insulting for me to bring it up. Two stars because she is friendly and I cancelled short notice on her twice and she was polite about it. But unfortunately because of a lot of money wasted, no communication from her about my personal progress and changes to her original promises, and some unprofessionalism, I cannot give more then that.

My body started to metabolize the busted up fat immediately, i.e it was noticeable for the first 4 days that my body was eliminating it. Step one of cool sculpting freezes and draws the fat up to the surface. By taking a picture after step one, you can how much fat is being targeted and set your expectations. Step 2 breaks up the fat cells by a different wand and this feels like a pleasant massage. The skin looks different after step 2 compared to after step 1. The removal of the fat cells is permanent.
