We had a very disappointing experience with this location. Specifically Dmytro Khonko. We were in the market to buy a used vehicle and in speaking with Dmytro he told us he had exactly what we needed. We told him we weren't interested in any extended warranties because previously in the past we had gotten burned with the People's choice warranty and we just weren't interested in going down that road again. He said he totally understood and wouldn't pressure us into taking anything that we didn't want. When the paperwork arrived, we noticed that there was an additional $300 charge for ECP. When I called him to inquire what this was about, he said it was an extended coverage that was mandatory and we didn't have an option to remove it. It covered us for tires for 12 months So I googled this and it clearly said that it was illegal to force anybody to take this ad on and that it was a common practice for high pressure sales tactics to add it on without the option of removing it which is illegal in the province of Ontario. So I emailed Dymtro to clarify and he responded that it was mandatory. I did not have an option to remove it and I had to proceed as the contract was laid out. At this point I know that he's lying to me which is extremely disappointing. So I contacted the general manager of Toyota who said in fact this is illegal and that this shouldn't have happened and that he would take it off but continue to give us the extended coverage which was nice, but obviously intended as placation. At this point there was a violation of our trust and it's very difficult to make a recommendation for a company that employs somebody who would outright lie and double down on the fact that he was being untruthful with add-ons and charges. If you've been charged for this ECP and were lied to that this was mandatory I strongly encourage you to speak up and let other consumers know. This lie was so brazen that it is abundantly clear it's not the first time. I'm adding the written proof. The sheer audacity makes me absolutely livid. read more

Despite all her work on my behalf and her solid knowledge of the business, regrettably I decided to go in another direction. Joey was gracious until we parted and she is an obvious asset to your branch and to the Toyota family. After spending half a day, they still didn't recognize the issue and said my car is perfectly fine. If you got a real issue of your vehicle, this dealer won't even get the capability to recognize it. They suggested a new or used Toyota would be right for us and they suggested a salesman who had sold them and their various family members Toyotas. Viet was the salesman and he went above and beyond to help us find the used Toyota that satisfied our needs. An update on my new 2020 Camry I came to get service done. The four things I reported at my initial visit as faulty have been diagnosed as normal operation. Both driver and passenger side windows were operating differently. The driver side window was vibrating when opening, the passenger in the other hand was slow when closing with motor making noise. I also never heard that it's normal operation for the fuel gauge indicator to get stuck at full after driving 145km and then rapidly going down, that's terribly misleading, inaccurate and very concerning/dangerous for the drivers. The service desk was informed me that's all normal and my car is fine. The service advisor Matthew Lafontaine took a call on my request and after intense discussion I was told that I should seek service at another Toyota dealership and that statement blew me away how rude and unprofessional his comment was. The similar comment Mike Torunski made who's apparently their 'Director of operations' after I received the call the next day. No effort whatsoever on resolving the customer problems, rather there are saying 'Go somewhere else'. Save yourself from the frustration, anger as these people have poor customer service, incapable technicians who were not able to fix any of my reported issues for almost brand new vehicle I paid $45.000with only 9000km on it. My husband and I were shopping for a used or new car and Toyota was at the top of our list. We walked into Kanata Toyota, were asked to provide our names, and a sales associate approached us shortly. After we told him we were looking for a used Camry or Rav4, he listed what we had in the lot (didn't offer to test drive or show us). He had such an indifferent attitude we just walked away. Two days later we walked into Mendes Toyota (Bank St.) and were immediately greeted by a sales associate. We went on test drives and when we expressed an interest on the Rav4 he showed us how advantageous it was to get a new 2018 model as they had a lot of incentives to move these out. Quoted me $7000.00 to repair 2003 4runner. Told me vehicle needed numerous repairs including complete timing chain cam advance mechanism, Oil control valve, as well as numerous more associated parts. I was then told that the vehicle was not worth it HOWEVER the mechanic was willing to pay $500 to take off my hands... I Took 4runner to another garage and $400.00 later vehicle is fixed. PROPERLY. They checked timing chain which is perfect, They replaced OIL control valve and problem solved! This is a second Toyota that I have owned and brought to a Tony Graham dealership and the its the second time and second dealership that has tried this on me and my wife. read more

I went to this location to get a repair done recently, and when I arrived they advised me that I had made my appointment at the Merivale location and asked me if I could go there. At that point I told the service guy that I had not made my appointment any where else and I had called their number not some one else's. He then said well let me see what we can do, he left went in the back room and came back after a couple minutes, he said they had the parts and the time so they said they could do it. That was good so he then said to go into the lounge and wait for the repair to be done. So I went to the lounge and was feeling good that it worked out, as I had made the appointment with them. Then about 15-20 minutes the an employee came out to talk and said they were sorry, they didn't have the parts so he asked if I could go to Merivale Toyota, I then said again,. I made my appointment here so I want it fixed here, I then said can you not have them send the parts here, he stuttered and then said yes let me see what we can do. So he left, then came back about 5 minutes later and asked if I was going to be there for a while, I said yes and he said ok, were sending some one to get the part. This was all great except I was a little upset over all this as I have made the appointment there any way. So ok, I was set for a wait, got a coffee started to relax, then about 30 minutes more, I notice my car coming from the road back to the dealership, these pricks used my car to go get the part that they should have had in the first place. That is why I give such a low review. I was as too say not in the least bit happy with this whole situation. So I will never recommend any one, get any thing done, or purchase any thing at Kanata Toyota. read more
