Do not go here unless you want to wear a track suit while working out. Disgusting staff and management whom need to be fired. As a paying customer with a membership I will NEVER return here and will encourage my friends, co workers, and family to not do so as well. Female misogyny comes in many forms at the rec center gym!

The grounds are beautiful with plenty of areas to relax and picnic. There were lots of people out enjoying the good weather but it never felt crowded. It's a little confusing trying to figure out what things require a ticket/paid admission. On the map they provide, there's no indication that a ticket is needed for the mansion, but one is in fact required. However you have to buy a ticket at the Stone Barn by the entrance. You can try buying on the website but I didn't have great signal. Instead I backtracked to the Stone Barn to get a ticket but the prices were higher than what I was told at the Mansion and they appeared to be limited to timed entry and all the time slots were sold out. Long story short, I didn't see the inside of the mansion, but still spent a good couple hours exploring the outdoor areas. Which was all free so I count that as a win.

Awesome summer fun for all. We just joined this pool for the summer. It is great. It is a little…read moremore pricy then the pool I saw at last year but it looks cooler. If you are a Woodlake resident you do get a little discount. We joined as a family and were even able to add a babysitter tithe account. There are 3 different pools. One is a kiddie pool that is set off to the side. The second is a little deeper (not exactly sure how deep) that has a slide going into it. The third is the mushroom pool. There is a big mushroom that you can walk under that has water flowing from the top. It starts about 2 feet deep(maybe less) and goes to 5 feet at the deepest end. Until school lets out it is open from 12 to 7 during the week. The weekend is 10 to 8. After school lets out is is 10 to 9 daily. There are plenty of lounge chairs as well as table to sit at. I haven't been there on a busy day yet though. There is a concession stand. I'm not sure of the hours. But during the week while school is still going on it wasn't open at 2:00. The have hamburgers and hot dogs and other items. There are no alcoholic drinks served here though.

We have been Non-Resident members for years and are very disappointed in the direction that the…read moreSRC/AFC pools are going. The new SRC pool is great, the management is far from that. We have had numerous days that one of the many pools were closed due to not having chlorine. This was told to us by the director and also stated that "Swim Metro has black balled us from getting chlorine from vendors because we stopped using them to staff lifeguards" She also stated that they were "spending $300 a day in chlorine from buying it at Lowe's and Home Depot" The lifeguards are very kind but lack management and do not all apply the same rules across the board. At one pool you can play with squirt guns and toss squishy balls, and at another you're not allowed to have anything to play with. Everything is very inconsistent and a total disappointment. We are canceling our membership as are several friends of ours and going to another community pool. I really hope that Woodlake can get their act together so they stop losing members. There is so much potential and lack of management is ruining the experience for members. On a positive note, the gym and instructors are great!

Lovely little museum and visitor center at the back of Crump Park…read more Inside the visitir center shows the history of Gabriel's Rebellion and the Sheppard Family of Henrico The visitor center is open daily, the Meadow Farmhouse is open by appointment only. There are live animals outside the Farmhouse.....not for petting or feeding! Henrico Parks and Recs offers lectures on VA and Henrico history and often meets here. We love walking through the park and often go to the lectures.

The museum of Meadow Farm here behind Crump Park is a lovely example of rural farm life in circa 1860. It's well-preserved and has distinct architectural significance of middle class living in that time period. The outbuildings are also well-maintained and the grounds are nicely manicured. At times there are festivals here where folks dress in period costumes and demonstrate candle making, basket weaving, etc. and a blacksmith quarters. There are also animals dwelling in the barns and pastures of this natural living farm. They have many activities and historic events, including a history of "Gabriel's Rebellion". There is usually a big July 4th celebration and other calendar events. This is a wonderful family park as there's lots of trails, picnic areas, a lake and other amenities. Don't miss touring this beautiful park!

There are so many fields (inside and out), a couple bar areas (for sodas & snacks only of course) and they have some games and the rock climbing facility. I've also seen corn hole boards, ping pong tables and tvs. I've always thought this would be a perfect place to rent out for a few hours, have a wiffleball game and let the kids get their energy out while celebrating a birthday or special occasion. My only reason for deducting one star is the bathrooms could use a little updating (but the ladies room in the back does have lockers and a shower).
