We go there mainly for bread and chicken, the last time we saw Tillamook Ice Cream from the states for the first time, unfortunately it had been thawed and refrozen so many times it was no longer Ice Cream but Iced Cream, it had ice crystals throughout, such a disappointment, also they had very little bottled water. The person doing the orderting and logistics here needs to be fired and they need to hire someone that can do the job. The store even with all its promotions and such actually has no concern for the quality of the merchandise and no sense of customer service or making sure their customers get the freshest and best merchandise, they just want to make $$. If it wasn't for a couple of items we do like we would never go there again.

Let's put my 15 year-old wang jokes aside (okay, I'm still gonna make a few more so be prepared) So I passed by this place on my way home from work a few days ago. It was a hella hot day, and I just came from commuting, so I thought "Why not get some Melona?" So yeah, I ended up getting Melona, which tasted great as usual. However, I decided to look around the place for a little while so I could stare at signs I didn't understand. So they literally have Korean everything. And by everything, I mean seriously goddamn everything. Korean liquor, Korean coffee, Korean noodles, Korean chips, Korean ketchup, Korean cold cuts... basically, it's like they ripped a grocery straight from Korea and brought it here. The only things missing were terrifyingly white Korean pop stars and I would've thought I was in Korea. Seriously, if you're thinking of cooking anything Korean or with Korean flavors, I promise that the assortment of stuff here will be more than enough. If you need some delicious Korean satisfaction, Wang Mart is definitely the place for you. Get ready for a whirlwind of delicious Korean flavor in your mouth!

Does that mean you can buy wangs in there?"…read more Aside from the fact that Wang Mart has the uncanny ability to bring out my inner 12 year-old boy alter-ego, it's a great and well-stocked Korean grocery that's open late - specifically until 2AM (perfect for those of you stumbling out of Handlebar or H&J and looking for cheap snacks to sober up after a night of hard partying). The high ceilings and large space ensure that this grocery carries almost all the basic Korean goods you need. From fresh kimchi, frozen meat cut, spices, ice cream, junk food and other assorted groceries, Wang Mart is one of my favorite Korean groceries in the metro. The best is that they always have freshly-made kimbap at the counter, which, to me, is the ultimate plus when it comes to visiting Korean groceries!

There's a deli and a grocery section with exotic spice packets and lots of imported goods from the US and Europe. Make sure you're wearing a mask before you enter. At the door the guard will check your temp and spritz your hands with alcohol. Currently there's no limit to the number of customers that can enter at one time; you will definitely need to remind the other shoppers to keep their distance. What irritates me about this place is that many items are missing price tags. I come here mainly for their baked goods and specialty items. I'm looking forward to trying out food from their cafe.

I'm Mart is a different store than I'm Mart II on Don Juico…read more This is the biggest Korean grocery store in Korea Town. It's walking distance from the corner of Don Juico and Fil-Am Friendship Hwy. There are a few parking spaces in the front and the guard can help you maneuver in and out of them: the street traffic can be busy. The fruits and veggies are better here than Puregold. Some of the items don't have price tags on them or on the shelf, so you'll need to use their price check scanner at the back. You'll find me here only IF I'm in the immediate area AND I am in the mood to pick up some seaweed snacks, frozen dumplings or specialty Korean items I need for a recipe. I would much rather go to the daughter store (I'm Mart II) on Don Juico near Puregold, because it's newer, cleaner and staff are friendlier.

My, my, my they have made some major improvements since my last review two years ago. This small grocery store is packed with everything you could ever need. We returned a couple weeks later and enjoyed some barbacoa tacos, chicken quesadillas and more calamari. The server was very sweet and remembered us from the first time. The food is delicious, everything we ordered was fresh, seasoned with cilantro and onions and various sides from hot sauce to aioli. We sat at the lounge area they have near the front of the restaurant. Definitely would go again. If you're looking for Mexican style cuisine in Makati stop by!

Walking into A'Toda Madre is always a breath of fresh, tequila-tinged air!…read more My wife and I love this classy little tequila restobar located in Makati's funky, neon-glowing Poblacion district. We are always promptly greeted with a warm and enthusiastic smile. Although we know the menu well, the servers always tell us if there's a special/promo going on (there usually is) and we go from there. A'Toda Madre has, without a doubt, the best selection of tequilas and mezcal that can be found in the Philippines. Every time we go, they have a new varietal that they encourage us to try. And their margaritas are dangerously delicious. They go down all too easily (and quickly)! The food is authentic Mexican that would make any Mexican native proud. The street tacos are the best we've had (outside of Mexico) and they pair perfectly with a cold cerveza or a tequila old-fashioned. Their menu features a variety of traditional Mexican dishes and an entire page of unique, specialty margaritas and cocktails. Btw their head bartender Cherrie is brilliant when preparing any drink you may request. In short, if you find your self in Makati, especially the Poblacion area, stop by A'Toda Madre.
