Besides all of the communication issues (not answering their phones), I can't even begin to describe my experience with the massage therapist, Linda Zellars. Now I'm not a very publicly political person, but this woman starts with how Trump and Kennedy are doing a great job taking the toxins out of our food.... While I might disagree, I just nodded nicely to keep the peace. Throughout the session, I listened attentively and occasionally responded with small comments like "uh-huh, and yep". Again, this was all to keep the peace and not make things awkward. I wasn't agreeing with her position at all. I was just letting her talk. Big mistake. It was when we were in the middle of the massage when Linda Zellars said, literally out loud: "When I become president, I'm going to get rid of every race. The only race that will exist is the American race. There won't be any black people or white, just Americans." She said so, so much more that I am still processing, but PLEASE spend your money, and more importantly, your time, elsewhere!

My first visit was long and that made me feel so much more confident in being a new patient. He went over every detail I listed on the intake form, and asked tons of questions. I wish all Doctors were that thorough! I live in North Hills, but have no problem driving to Tarentum because of the excellent care I receive. Every single staff member has been friendly and empathetic and it's a very pleasant environment. Anytime I have questions or concerns, I can call and they are happy to help. They also have the most recent up to date treatments, which has helped me since I am very sensitive to medications. I just completed my first year of Botox, and also started Emgality today. Unlike other Specialists I've been to, Dr. Michel doesn't force medication, but gives you options, and is very open minded. I feel very respected as a patient because we actually talk about various treatments. I highly recommend Dr. Michel to anyone looking for an amazing Neurologist who truly cares. I may not ever be the same person I was before brain injuries which caused my chronic migraines, but thanks to Dr. Michel, I have been given more migraine and pain free days. Waited an hour and a half. Had to leave and they said they would call when they have it figured out. They called only 2 days later. I set an appointment. They then called the next day 'to reschedule". They left a voicemail. When I called back I was repeatedly put on hold. They couldn't figure out who called me and then denied calling. After I played the voicemail for them they said they were unaware I already rescheduled. After I established I already rescheduled they said "its all on paper". Munhall Area Prehospital Services (MAPS) was established in 1996, and it primarily covers the…read moregeographic areas of Munhall and Homestead. Their ambulances are staffed by paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) for 365 days per year and 24 hours per day. Last week, I was in Homestead, and I became briefly unresponsive after donating blood. Someone called 911, and soon a MAPS ambulance arrived. Three very courteous workers evaluated me by doing my vital signs, blood sugar, and mental examination. By that time, my health was normal except for my face looking pale and blue. The workers asked me if I wanted to be transported to a hospital, and I replied that I am a nurse and that I just need to drink water rather than spend time and money in an emergency department. They agreed, and they called a physician who also agreed. We parted ways, and I went home with my husband to drink water and eat food. Now I feel much stronger. Update: A couple of weeks later, I received a bill for this service. The total cost for my non-transport assessment was $200. To this review, I will attach photos of my report for non-transport/treatment. Their carbon-copy did not work, so my personal information is not visible!

Can't seem to write an accurate incident report and unwilling to correct. My symptoms were not…read moreaccurately described on the report and therefore insurance won't pay. The EMT wasn't even able to put in an IV. The emergency room (based upon my symptoms) ran tests for a stroke for hours. The ambulance described my symptoms as nausea and vomiting. I can tell they put A LOT of effort in accurate reporting and billing of insurance. BEWARE.

Overall, it was…read moremuch easier driving here and parking in the lot than I anticipated (parking is validated for patients) and I was moved easily along through this large practice which takes up a whole wing of the 9th floor of the hospital. Everything went incredibly smoothly and they have their lab just around the corner, which also was highly efficient. I think also because the lab sends tests in house via the hospital, I was getting results in hours the day of my visit. I was impressed and didn't expect that fast of a turnaround (for non-emergency, routine tests). If you have UPMC, you know that you have a multitude of options, especially if you live in the city, and I think this is a good one! :) Stay healthy, Yinz!
