The holes are pretty good distances, well kept, and very scenic. The course is crowded usually, but not in an unbearable way at all. It is one of the harder courses to lose a disc at, except for the 13th hole (the last one). Just be careful to stay to the right so you don't end up in the river!

This 27 hole course is located on a 40 acre property which doubles as a sod farm. The course is open 365 days a year, and costs $5 for a day pass. Beginners will find it somewhat difficult, but not terribly punishing. There is a pro shop where you can buy almost any disc you can imagine, and there is even a concession stand on the 16th hole where you can buy beer, soda, or snacks. The course is gorgeous, well-manicured, and they are constantly tweaking it and making improvements. Hole 4 (the signature hole) is the most beautiful yet frustrating hole I have ever encountered. You have to see it to believe it. I would play here every day if I lived closer.

Drive up the hill (just up 46th Avenue So)-like you're headed for the Veterans Home. On top of the hill is the Wabun Picnic Area & Disc Golf. It's not far from the bicycle trails! It offers clean bathrooms, beautiful mature trees, good views, nice playground & wading pool for the kiddos, ChargePoint Charging Station for electric vehicles, and disc golf. Yes, it is a walk to Minnehaha Falls (0.5 miles, about an 11 minute walk) but it's well worth it!

Step one was to find a local expert and acquire knowledge and necessary equipment. I determined that my current location was near Everyday Disc Golf, and proceeded to confirm with the website that as it was 11:15am, the shop would be open. I arrived at approximately 11:30 to a locked business with no lights on, and a sign proclaiming the hours to be from 11am-7pm. I called the business phone number, and those hours were confirmed. I waited and watched two groups of would-be customers visit the store to no avail. One of the would-be customers asked some of the other businesses, and was told the proprietor generally rolled in around noon or so. NOON OR SO! If you are going to have a business with public hours that are available on the internet, a storefront sign, and in voice mail, maybe you should care enough to be open during those hours. I departed, and will not darken this doorstep ever again. I instead made the drive to a town known as Little Canada, to a store named Delta Disc Golf. You should too, because the good people there actually are present during store hours.

(Parks and Rec) Crowning the towering Sorin's Bluff in Red Wing, Memorial Park overlooks the city and provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Mississippi River and surrounding bluff country. Treat yourself to a blufftop sunrise or sunset, or to the sight of whatever moon happens to be in the sky! Memorial Park is must-see attraction for tourists in Red Wing and provides 268 acres of outdoor recreation. The park can be reached either by stairs or a quick drive up a narrow, serpentine road. Look for the WW2 M8 75 mm pack Howitzer at the entrance! UPPER QUARRY-Take a right just before you reach the top of the bluff to access the UQ. Here you will find stone picnic tables, a picnic shelter, and hiking trails. TOP OF THE BLUFF--Parking spots run adjacent to the main overlook, convenient for those with limited mobility, seniors, or small kids in their party. The looping road encircles a disc golf course, picnic tables, and an old water tower that looks like a castle. There is a cave below the main overlook, but exercise caution in the descent. LOWER QUARRY - At the end of the loop take a right to the Lower Quarry. Explore the endless hiking, biking, snowshoe, and ski trails, along with old limestone quarries, cliffs and ravines. Whether you're looking for a quick view of the city or a hike around the bluff, Memorial is the place to be. Just remember, "When life gives you lemons, you sell some of your grandma's jewelry, and go clubbing." (Parks and Rec) Or, just visit the bluff instead--it's free! *Fun Fact: the snow angel and snowmobile scenes featuring John and Ariel in Grumpy Old Men were filmed in this park.

This is a great park. It has two different parking areas that I have never seen completely full but…read moreif they would be there is also street parking. It has a nice walking path around the park, there is a disk golf course, baseball fields, and off leash dog areas. I especially like there is separate small dog and large dog off leash areas. There are also areas to picnic at with charcoal grills but you have to bring your own charcoal . Definitely worth going checking out.
