Mr. Franco does an absolutely amazing job with the kids. They learn self confidence, respect and pride in every class. It doesn't matter if your child is a beginner or already has several belts - the class is geared towards making everyone feel comfortable and confident. The husband & wife team that runs this place is full of passion and together they have built an environment of excellence and warmth that is helping my 8-year old son cultivate confidence and personal discipline. Every class starts with bowing in respect to parents, instructors, and the American flag, and includes some kind of teachable moment on how to face adversity with a winning attitude. After that, they rotate through many engaging karate exercises from pull ups to nunchucks to sparring even as a brand new white belt. The cost is $175/month but for unlimited classes, that is an excellent value compared to other activities for the same price that limit you to 1-2 lessons each week. Students are praised on how well they do outside of the class as well, and are encouraged to bring notes from their parents and school papers with good grades. Each month they focus on a different goal while they learn their moves. Adults can train here, too, but they train alongside the kids. They have programs where you can earn your black belt in 3 years. The only reason why I didn't keep my son here is that they are a bit out of my budget. Otherwise, they are an excellent karate school.

If you're just beginning you can take your time at each station and learn new exercises, as well as, freshen up your technique for those you are familiar. A skilled athlete will also learn to work the heart and muscles in a new capacity. Everyday is different, I have been a member for months now and I still learn new exercises. It's challenging in a way that makes me excited to show up each day. Mark is a great asset to the 9Round brand. He is welcoming and adaptable to each persons fitness level and needs. There are days when we are some of the first people to come in and Mark sees that one of the stations isn't quite flowing the way it should and he makes adjustments. He is encouraging and helpful, and makes our workout days fun. My main reason for picking this place was the fact that its right across from where I live, so that's a huge plus! I tried the first class for free and was super nervous because I had no clue what to do. Thankfully Mark showed me what to do at every station so I was able to kind of keep up. The whole idea itself is so great and different that I knew I had to join the next day! It's only a half hour workout, but that's really all it takes! The 30 minutes actually seems to fly by because you're changing workouts every few minutes so it doesn't become monotonous. I'm excited to make this my regular workout spot! This place is great!
