It seems popular just because it's located right on the highway and has fake high ratings on platforms like Google Maps, but the reality is a complete letdown. The quality of the meat you get for the price you pay is terrible. The biggest downside is that they serve beef, whereas authentic çöpşiş is supposed to be made of lamb. It's not just the meat, either--the fries and mezes served on the side are also pretty bad. On top of all this, the stream flowing right behind the restaurant literally smells like sewage. It is definitely not a place worth visiting; save your money.

A friend considers Memed's the best restaurant he's ever been to (I know that was a stretch) and personally, I think it's one of the better restaurants I've been to overseas. Staff are super attentive and hospitable. The location is ideally in a corner of semi-residential area but with valet parking. This is one place I always don't miss to visit at least once whenever am in Marmaris, Turkey. This trip alone, our group had dinner here 3 times! Highly recommend if you're ever in the south of Turkey!

Don't be put off by the slightly more expensive prices - this is restaurant quality food not your normal Turkish kebab place.
