My first encounter with her was in GB Hospital in 2016. I didn't become a true patient of her practice until 2026. She and her nurses are very understanding of those of us with "white coat syndrome". I'm not a fan of doctors but I feel well cared for and respected when I am at her office. I would like to add that she has been treating me for several gynecological issues. She took note of my symptoms of one of the issues I was having, came up with a hormone game plan, we tried it and boom! No more spotting between periods, no more excessive anxiety, less waking throughout the night, and much fewer hot flashes. I had been suffering from these issues for over 5 years. My quality of life has improved thanks to her for actually listening and taking the time with me. It's rare to find a medical provider in any specialty or even primary care that will actually hear you and make sense of your symptoms. I'm forever grateful to Dr. Karen Kennedy.

She asked if I suspected him of cheating as that would be the only reason I should want a Pap smear. Never mind that I am a cancer survivor. I sent her a letter to let her know that I felt humiliated, and she wrote me a nasty letter and lied outright. She did not do a breast exam in 2018 or 2019. I have never felt so humiliated and belittled as when Dr. Nguyen addressed me. No doctor had ever treated me that way. I thought the doctor would apologize and all would be well. Instead she wrote me a letter as if to threaten legal action should I expose her. She was nasty to me. Period. I wonder if she would treat me this way were my skin color different. I will never know the answer to that.
