Late review. For me, he was a great Dr. Delivered my oldest daughter via C-section, did a great job, always kind. Unfortunately could not see him for the last 2. We moved here from Texas because of husband work, I was 4 month pregnant. A family that has a friend lives in fort walton recommended Dr. Whitaker to me. Definitely great decision that I got him as my OB. He was great, very professional and knowledgeable. I had my baby 35 W and 4 day, it was an emergency c section because my baby was transverse. He did my surgery very well, I feel good after a month of the surgery. He has an amazing staffs in his clinic, very nice people and very friendly. I had an amazing experienced with them. read more

He delivered my son 7 years ago because my ob-gyn was on vacation and I've stayed with him since. This is such a late review. My son is 4 yrs old now. And Dr Whitaker was my Dr, I couldn't imagine a better OB Dr than him. He took excellent care of both me and my son during my high risk pregnancy, my labor and after with my surgery. He is a wonderful Dr, full of encouragement, positivity and kindness, and I will forever be thankful for him delivering my healthy son- and getting me to better health as well. One star because the office is clean. Wait time often 1-2 hours. To older women contemplating hysterectomy or any other repair surgery, STOP do not go here, you will end up house bound and literally a cripple. He has no level of care or concern for older patients. It was always float into the room, chat for a few minutes and then leave before the dust was even settled. He knows what he did to me, and what condition I was left in, but he assured me I would be fine, just needed to heal. He had no problem taking my money or the payments from my insurance company. I am in constant severe pain. I cannot go anywhere without worrying about embarrassment. He just does not care. I feel like I was put back together by a blind person. If you try to complain, it falls on deaf ears, he makes a big joke out of everything. His office will not return your calls unless you are calling to pay. My problems now are no joking matter. I am far worse than when I first went to him. It's really hard to live like this. This practice may be fine if you are young and pregnant, especially since you won't require much aftercare. After numerous phone calls, I was not allowed to see him for my final release visit because I had an outstanding bill. There is no communication - he told me personally not to worry about what the insurance did not pay. The hospital bill for my surgery was $62,000 - hard to believe, plus his bill was enough to buy two new Cadillac's and get change back.. Now, after all that I had to pay to other doctors just to be told that the problems Whitaker created cannot be reversed, he and his office have send my bill for less that $275 to the collection agency. I don't know how he can sleep at night. I pray to God that he does not leave anyone else like this. Again, if you are not having a baby, go to another doctor, don't let this doctor mutilate you as he has me. read more

I cannot even imagine why I have to give a star at all. If you are having a baby, he is fine. If you are older with health problems, you should definitely go somewhere else. The lack of respect for older women is overwhelming. I had to have a hysterectomy, didn't want one, but had no choice. HIS STAFF WOULD NOT LET ME SEE HIM FOR MY FOLLOW UP VISIT BECAUSE I HAD NOT PAID MY BILL OFF. Medicare is always slow, but before they could even pay, his office had sent my account to a collection agency. I am now under monthly care of a specialist for the conditions that this botched surgery caused. I cannot travel, I am almost completely housebound. I am in constant pain because of what he missed during the surgery. My family has broken up, because of problems this man left me with. I am no longer female, constant infections, and 24/7 excruciating pain in my lower abdomen. I have nerve damage in my bowels and bladder so I have no sensations as to when I need to go to the bathroom. I did not wear adult diapers before seeing him. He has left me crippled and a recluse, and he calls himself a doctor. I have written his office several times, but they will not let up on the $200 that medicare did not pay because the bill was padded, according to medicare they overcharged for several items. My account is still with his collection agency, and I am still refusing to pay it. Why should I pay for his destroying me? read more
