My first visit with Dr. Lieber was very positive, however, each of my subsequent visits were not thorough and very rushed. She will not write longer than a 3-month prescription for long-term maintenance medicine and requires lots of erroneous visits (to get more $). She says "insurance requires it", but it absolutely doesn't! The office staff is the absolute worst! They file insurance claims late, fail to bill patients for services and then make harassing calls for payment over the phone. They are very unfriendly - from the closed window in the waiting room to scheduling the next appt. Upon finding another Dr, I found out 3 people I know had the exact same issue with Dr Lieber and staff and had also moved to another Dr. I only wish I had known that before I changed to this practice. read more

We've been with Dr Leber for over 20 years. We first found her when she was rated one of the "top docs" by Phoenix Magazine. I haven't paid attention whether she's still on their list. As I said, we have been with her over 20 years. We know her, she knows us. We have all of our records forwarded to her office so all of them are with her, be it surgeons, oncologists, or whomever. She gets copied on everything. So when we see her, she knows what is going on. She is caring and concerned, answers questions, and knows her trade. Doctor Karen Leber is the best. You should expect to wait 30 to 45 minutes. This is true in the medical world. Do you not expect to wait through the entire process from start to finish at a steak shop 30 to 45 minutes to be served even with a reservation. A little waiting time, drink orders, drinks, order your meal, then your meal served. People seem to forget our appointments are our target time to arrive and not to be seen. Dr Leber has only improved with time. People with reviews sadly are commonly over delighted and wanting to punish somebody at the heat of the moment. I am simply here looking up her contact information, and saw a review or two I did not like. Have a Great Day Doc, and I will be calling to schedule a visit. read more

I had a terrible experience -TWICE. I went there because I read other's reviews that she takes her time with you. At my first appointment, they apparently rescheduled the day without notifying me. Then, when after waiting an unreasonable amount of time, Dr. Leber literally swung the door open and rushed through a ton of questions, really not taking the time, like she was just going through the motions. Today I had an appointment scheduled for 10am. I arrived early, waited 55 minutes and left without seeing her. There were quite a few other people in the waiting room, too, and I heard the receptionists calling people to reschedule their appointments for today because they were running behind. Dr. Leber is understaffed and overbooked, and completely inhospitable. I will not go back to see her. read more

If you want to wait 30-45 minutes after appointment time, then have the doctor talk so fast you can't understand what she is s aging, this is our place. If you want great care, best to keep looking. read more

Brat! That's what the so called doctor called me when she said that she wasn't an infectious disease doctor and I was getting up to leave. When I called to make my first appointment I specifically asked two questions and one of them was can she treat infectious disease more specifically HIV. The front office staff said yes. When she told me that she is not an infectious disease doctor, she even said if I wanted we could cancel the appointment and I said yes. So while she said that, I got up off the exam table and was grabbing my coat! Not once, not only twice but three times she called me a brat! I turned around and agreed but also said you need to educate your front office. Extremely unprofessional appearance, she was wearing a what appeared to be leggings, Ugz boots, and a very large knitted cardigan. I work in the medical industry and never have I seen a so called doctor trying to look like the janitor. read more

I'll never know if she is a good doctor or not. Couldn't get in to see her to begin with. Rescheduled twice...day of original appt. on the 2nd try. They did want to reschedule next day, however only in the morning between 9:30a - 12p. I couldn't rearrange my work schedule for that limited time-frame so quickly. So while she may have great credentials, she isn't dependable and I decided not to pursue it any further. If you are flexible enough to work around her schedule, you might have better luck. read more

I have been a patient with Dr Leber for many years. She's a great listener and spends a great deal of time explaining procedures and diagnosis. She never makes you feel like you're a number as in other practices. She listens and is very knowledgeable. I trust her to the fullest and wouldn't consider going to any other doctor. The office staff are personable and Jennifer her office assistant makes sure you get an appointment in an emergency or fits you into the schedule. Dr Leber is the best! read more

Karen's from a family of doctors and is well-educated, compassionate and diligent. A quick thinker and talker, you see she was born for this profession observing her calculating impulses and thorough questioning to reach a diagnosis. Due to insurance changes my 22 years as a patient has seen a few years unable to see her left me with less desirable experiences from doctors whom I've seen in between. And yes, she's human, and occasionally has to rearrange appointments. Don't we all? And through this timespan, she's diagnosed me correctly 99% percent of the time, which, is pretty damn close to perfect. read more

My 89 year old mother has many chronic medical conditions and has had Dr. Leber as her primary care physician for several years. She had a good experience until Dr. Leber took a leave of absence a few years ago for unclear reasons. Since then, the experience has not been good. My mother asked me to accompany her to an appointment in December 2015. Dr. Leber was clearly running behind schedule and was astoundingly curt, dismissive, and disrespectful to my mother's concerns, frequently interrupting her and calling her "honey." Dr. Leber did not seem to care that I was observing all this. Only after I prompted her to relay some CT results to my mother did she agree, and then she quickly ran out of the room without saying a word to either of us. She never followed through with the test results. I was aghast and recommended that my mother get a new doctor. I don't know what her problem was (or is), but I would never recommend Dr. Leber to anyone. read more
