Of course finding out you are diabetic sucks to no end, but I heard that from my previous doctor…read more He kept prescribing me meds which were making me sick (Metformin) and when I pointed out to him they were making me sick his response was that they were working, so he wanted to leave me on them. So I left him and never looked back. Meeting with Dr Andrea Ferenczi was a breath of fresh air. She listened to my concerns, asked relevant questions and provided me with basic information on living with diabetes, which my previous doctor did not. When I asked him for info on diabetes he told me to just Google it. Like what the actual fork? After my initial consult with her I pretty much see a PA whenever I go in. I am sure she reviews their notes from time to time but I'm not complaining. The PA's are all top notch and I have no complaints there. The appointments run on time so the expected forty minute wait past your scheduled appt doesn't occur which is nice. The only thing I have an issue with is that some of the meds they prescribe for me require a preauthorization from the doctor's office for the insurance to run it through. For whatever reason getting the office to fax those through to the insurance company is a total fiasco! It's great that they prescribe the meds that you need but if they can't get the pre approvals done it's no bueno. So following up repeatedly is a must for that. Otherwise I really like this place.

Dr Reddy finally came in and didn't introduce herself (I was a new patient). Asked me questions that I didn't know the answers to and performed some physical exams with no explanation of what she was doing or looking at. She didn't say good bye to me or ask if I needed anything as the patient. Literally walked me down a hall for lab work and said "you can sit there" and left. Of course lab work also took forever. Never coming back here again. New patient appt took over two hours.

Dr. Ezzre really takes her time with me to address all my concerns. I am so happy to have switched from a traditional doctor. Updated-Still going here several years later. I've seen most of the new drs here and they're still all great! The lab tech and medical assistants are super competent and friendly. My family and I come here for almost all our medical needs. I have been a patient of a Desert Wellness provider for approximately 3 years. I initially went to…read moreher for hormone management to transition off birth control that was lowering my libido. She claimed my baseline testosterone was low and immediately began aggressively increasing my dosage. Over the last two years, my testosterone levels shot up to a staggering 254-387--levels far too high for a female. Predictably (to someone educated in hormones- which wasn't me), I developed overwhelming exhaustion. When a woman's body is flooded with too much testosterone, the excess converts directly into estrogen. According to medical resources like the Cleveland Clinic, an overloaded estrogen system causes severe fatigue and low libido--completely defeating my original reason for seeking care. Things got so bad that my gynecologist expressed serious concerns and told me to demand a dose decrease. To the DW provider's credit, she did check my iron on and correctly put me on an iron supplement, which brought my levels up. But when the iron didn't cure the exhaustion, she resorted to guesswork--adding thyroid medication, B12 shots, DIM, and a cortisol manager rather than acknowledging the testosterone overload. This past week, I reached my breaking point and asked to transfer my care to another provider in the clinic. Instead, I was directed to the office manager, who doubled down on their unsafe stance and insisted testosterone couldn't be the issue. Realizing that this clinic values protecting their protocols over patient health, I canceled all remaining appointments and care. Find a provider who actually understands hormone pathways and listens to your concerns.

Dr. Shell runs all of the labs (which my insurance covers 100%) and takes the time to explain the results and work to optimize my numbers--not just get them "in range". Plus, her help with my acute diverticulitis last Fall was above and beyond! Truly. Her concern was more than hoped for or expected. She got my CT scan approved immediately through my insurance and I felt like she was holding my hand getting me through it! My previous PC's office is SO bad. I can never talk to a nurse or doctor! When I had covid last year, I couldn't get an appointment and when I left a message that I needed an immediate response, it took them a week to get back to me!! I could have died before they called me back! I ended up in the ER because my throat swelled up so bad I could barely breathe and had completely lost my voice. Again, Dr. Shell came to the rescue. I know doctors aren't in the business just for the fun of it, they need to make money, too. But, she actually wants to help. I hope she never changes her attitude!! I do wish she took insurance, but her prices are reasonable. I'm not going to look for another physician.
