The most uncaring, argumentative, judgmental, and condescending healthcare professional I have ever met. Rushed through both my appointments and was not interested in hearing me out about my health concerns. She only put on an act that she was listening, once I got upset with her. The absolute worst!!!! If a dr sees someone in distress, their first reaction is to help...not Dr Blancao! Her first reaction is to hurry and get you out of her office. I was referred to Dr Jessica Blanco by several friends and acquaintances that were long time patients in her practice. I recently had my first visit and I am so glad that she is now my doctor. First of all, she saw me promptly as I barely was able to finish my paperwork before they called me in! The office staff was all super friendly and respectful of my privacy and my time. The office is clearly well planned in terms of layout and runs well. Everything is computerized but her staff makes sure you have a compassionate experience. I had four specific medical complaints and all were addressed by Dr Blanco that day. I am sure she will need to see me often and did ask that I make a different appointment to review lab results, but I am happy to do that because I value her opinion and her expertise. Her time is worth way more than worth my co-pay if you ask me. I recently started seeing Dr.Davis-Best. She tells you how it is and really listens to your concerns. You can tell that her number one goal is your health and she is a great teacher when explaining what's going on and why. She has called me more than once after hours which really goes to show how much she cares. I know she has two kids as well so I appreciate her taking the time out of her night to help me. Terrible front office staff. The drs may be good but the staff suffers in grace and politeness greatly!!!! I am a new patient referred by another patient of Dr. Jessica Blanco. When I arrived for my first appt, I was abruptly halted with my paperwork because the counter staff called my insurance company and was informed that my coverage ceased 30 days prior. Unaware of this lapse in coverage, I was mortified! She would not let me keep my appt but rescheduled me and asked me to check on my insurance. I rescheduled and immediately went out to my car to call my HR dept and found out after 2 days of research that it was an error by Humana, not my employer like the office staff blurted out for all the waiting room to hear..."you no longer have insurance coverage because your employer did not pay their premium" What? Where is the respect of privacy? So the following appt reminder came via voice mail and I found I had a work conflict, so I immediately called back to your office and cancelled my appt only to find that I didn't have an appt! Go figure! How did I get a reminder call? I was relieved and rescheduled for July 9th, today. When I checked in Maggie informed me that I did not have an appt today, but maybe she could find out if they could fit me in...well, with that said, she found out I was a new patient and those appts are only allowed a certain amount per day. Where is the customer service? I left to use the restroom to return to a hispanic rude lady that told me I had to wait 6 mod to see Dr. Blanco because I missed an appt. I asked what she was talking about and tried to explain, but she would not listen to me. Very rude! I could tell Maggie was getting uncomfortable and left the desk. I have been in the medical field for over 30 years and ran my husband's surgical practice. If my staff would ever treat someone like I was treated, there would be significant consequences. Patients are customers and should be treated as such. We aren't criminals and assumed guilty before even being allowed to share our side of the story! Since I posted my checkin, several friends have commented how rude your office staff really are. What happened to good first impressions? I came as a referral from a friend, a trusted recommendation, but I was never allowed to even plead my case or speak to Dr. Blanco!!!! Very disappointing! I have been going to this office since I moved to the Phoenix area. I absolutely adore Dr. Blanco and her nurse. They are always friendly and thorough. Do not go here. Dr is a rude person who is rude to patients. She spends about 2 minutes with you before instructing you to get up and come out to the desk where she can give you prescriptions/instructions. It is just a way to get you out of the exam room as fast as possible. She has no time for you, she just wants your copay. She does not speak to any patients on the phone, you have to communicate( or not ) through the office staff who can not relay accurate information. Definitely has a chip on her shoulder or maybe just an over inflated ego and about what? I heard her on several occasions being rude to elderly people. I assume because they only have Medicare. Blanco does not remember you nor anything about you and I guess reading your chart beforehand is just too much trouble. The staff acts like they are doing you a favor. They probably just hate their job because of the atmosphere they have to work in. The tree rots from the top. If you have a cold then maybe but if you need real medical go somewhere else.
