WE called THEM to check, since no one called us. There were spots, it turned out, but she refused to hold the spots for even a few hours, to get our card and pay. This is not their usual policy. Other people at the Cove have held spots every time for 24 hours, when they call US to tell us about the waitlist spots. This gives working families time to check their schedules and call in payment. If the city staff can't give working people 24 hours to pay, then they really don't need our tax dollars to pay their so-called "services". Really we should just replace these subhumans with AI bots, since all they can do is enforce "the policy" which is NOT the policy to begin with.

Daniel is warm, friendly, gentle, and extremely patient. He knows how to make swimming fun and doesn't put pressure on the kids to perform. They stole a couple hundred dollars from us. Multiply that times multiple customers, and they are thieves of thousands of dollars. Even if they did not have the cash in hand still, as can be the case for small businesses, the response of integrity would be to meet families at a city pool for the remainder of the lessons, and provide the services for which payment was received. Instead, Garrett Armstead the young man who owned the swim school decided to not end things well. He become a thief, and is now hiding in his back yard, afraid to show his face in public. He did not treat others as he would want to be treated. He never even apologized. Garrett: It's time to man up to your responsibility.

Aron has such a warm approach and enthusiasm, as well as a contagious confidence that helps little ones adjust to the water. Coach Aron is very sensitive to what his students need at any moment. Leo is advancing well in learning to function in a pool, because Aron is such a good teacher. I'm impressed after observing him at work and I commend him and thank him wholeheartedly.

My 6 year old went from not being able to swim at all to swimming freestyle and back stroke the entire length of the pool. My three year old is now swimming with her kick glide half way across the pool. The instructors have all been very nice and helpful. My son was a student at this school when he was two years old. I screamed for the instructor to 'Get Him!' as did another parent who was there for her child. The instructor made his way back and all was fine. But, it was a very scary moment and I realized that the instructor should have never had his eyes fully turned away from my child. We left and went to another school in town that has adequately trained staff who are never more than arms length from my son and with eyes on him at all times. It has been a year since our incident and I never thought about reviewing them online. Last night, however, a friend told me that her son had about a very similar experience at the east side location. Just in the last 24 hours several friends have come forward to say they had the same thing happen to them. I would think twice about registering my child at Sunshine.
