It looks just like the other location, and it sits at the base of the hill that provides the southern entrance to Virginia city. It was a great store. The lady at the store was very friendly. I told her that we had been to the other store a few times, but this was our first visit to this store. She told us that "this is where the magic happens." this is the location where they make the chocolates and candy, and then send it on to the other store. It has everything that the other store has, chocolates, taffy, assorted candies, including hard candies, peanut brittle, the works. They have a large selection of loose chocolate in bins, so you can get a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. It's charged by the pound. My brother got some chocolates for both him. And his wife back home, and he also got another bag of the jalapeño brittle. I'm the one that "turned him on" to it, and he's gotten to like it as well. I also got some of the chocolates, and I picked up two bags of the jalapeño brittle, and because I got two bags, because of a special they were running I also got a complementary bag of caramel corn. I hear it's very good stuff like everything they have here, but because I had so much candy already, the caramel corn ended up being a gift. The price is for everything was reasonable, based on the high-quality of their candy, and they do a military/veterans discount. Both of their stores are great. We saw them at the Kahle Farmers Market where they had a choice of 4 flavors, so I took one of each. In general ALL the cakes were dense and moist which I really like. Chocolate chocolate chip w/dark chocolate buttercream: Delicious. Great dark chocolate frosting, and a dense dark chocolate cake. Only negative, the chips were at the bottom of the cupcake and stuck to the wrapper. Carrot cake: I felt the cake was a little blah, but the icing was delish. Fresh Lemon: This was my runner up. Great lemon flavoring. Blue Velvet! (Vanilla bean cake with fresh blueberries and vanilla bean frosting): MY FAVORITE! The blue color draws your eye. Nothing I can't pronounce or spell, which is nice. Probably too much sugar if that's something you care about. Good choice for a breakfast snack/bar. I'd have these again.

I understand that mistakes happen but when my husband called to report this incident the person he spoke had the indignation to say that they never heard of such of think happening. I have to tell you...I'm not a big fan of cake. It's not that I don't like it, I just don't see…read moremuch of a purpose in it. So, why on earth am I writing a review for a cake business you may ask? Well, it takes a lot to impress me with cake and I need to give credit where credit is due. I thought this would be the case too...you know, put on a show for others. I especially had to be nice since my sister got married and Kymm made her wedding cake and cupcakes. Normally anything that pretty can't taste good, but it's true...they are/were! Even all these little jewel things on the cupcakes were edible little candies...yum!!! Whatever magical goo Kymm put in that cake, and those cupcakes, made them delicious and left me wanting more. I'd highly recommend her to anyone, anywhere, but she is not everywhere. I'm not a coffee drinker but I'll take them in ice-cream form LoL! My favorites are Kona Coffee and Espresso Explosion when they have them available. They also sell drinks (Coke products) and also bottled water to quench your thirst. Of course, their main market are the chocolates and fudge and sometimes you can catch making them fresh in the front window. Aside from the fudge the chocolates and candy are already conveniently prepackaged and are ready to go. I purchased a bag of peanut brittle but they now also have the pecan brittle! Must have the milk chocolate peanut clusters too. If hankering for caramel apples they have them in different flavors here. We always stop by Grandma's when visiting Virginia City.
