Leave to the indefatigable Allison Barta Bailey - @IndustryFlea is awesome! I didn't even realize…read morewe needed this, and yet, lo and behold, it is one of my favorite new additions to OKC. Held on the same lot as the Holiday Pop Up Shops, Industry Flea is the last Friday of every month (March-September, same evening as H&8th), and the following Saturday. Lots of local vendors, some I knew, some I didn't. For example, we all know and love Dry/Shop, A Date With Iris, etc., but IF also brings out some vendors that must normally only sell their wares online, or have a stall in some of the little vintage marketplaces I don't tend to frequent. I saw lots of new faces, including a really amazing vintage poster dealer, some wonderful shabby chic/ French provincial dealers, and more. I think it is one of those that will only get better with time, but it will take community support to really make it pop. They'll be able to attract more vendors if people are really using it as an opportunity to get out there and go shopping. Want to see events like this live a long and healthy life? Vote with your dollars, just as you have done with H&8th. Want to see more and different vendors? Let Allison know, I'm sure she's right there with you!

Don't go expecting a flea market, as this is by no means a flea market in the traditional sense…read more (Most of the vendors are NOT selling secondary market goods, and you don't have to worry about stepping through ratty messes. For example, we bought several great candles on our last trip to Industry Flea, as well as locally sourced essential oils. Hubby nabbed a cool new t-shirt (locally owned company!), and I found one of my favorite hand-turned wooden bowls. (It's made from acacia wood, I think. Love it.) The "aisles" were broad and well orchestrated, and all the vendors whom we encountered were friendly, engaging, and well selected over all. (These affairs are all about balance, I believe.) Two of our favorite, OKC-owned food trucks were on site, too -- a welcome addition. If you like the Pop-Up Shops in downtown Oklahoma City, you'll love Industry Flea. To quote Yelp goddess Julie S., "Leave to the indefatigable Allison Barta Bailey - @IndustryFlea is awesome!" I put details about Industry Flea on my website last year as a courtesy, and will be happy to do the same once again if asked.

Never will we return. Sad people out there.

Excellent flea market. This place is lit, traffic jam of people right at 6am when they open. I was selling, and I had 6 people talking to me at once, made 400 bucks in the first 2 hours. I tried selling at the okc flea markets, okc not nearly as busy, and okc people dont buy as much. Dog trade in Sulphur, you can buy guns, smoke pipes, switchblades, butterfly knives, quartz-crystal. Seriously, everyone comes in from all the neighboring towns to BUY, they have been doing it for years, great economy out there, good atmosphere.
