I've been going to this place since the 70's. It was a major gathering spot on the weekends. If you couldn't find it here it probably wasn't available. The inside was filled with venders, food, drink and a little pool table area. The outside was also full of vendors booths It was a great place to take visitors and you could pretty much spend an entire day there. Slowly the shine faded and for a while it wasn't really safe as there was some gang activities around it. The flea market... it's still open. I remember going here in high school with friends to pick up hair products and matching shirts and yeah cheap good food I.e churros, popcorn! The parking lot is still a problem and Sunday was packed with people and vendors. I decided to drive by and see if the place was open and boy was I surprised at the crowds. I was even more surprised to see families shopping as I mentioned this was a young persons spot in the day! I dropped in over a holiday weekend to look for a few things I needed and to see if I could stumble upon some hidden treasures...after-all, this is usually why I go to Flea Markets. Typically I enjoy visiting them from city to city and a few of them have really been nice, but chile, let me tell you, this one was at the veerryyyyy bottom of my list. Omg, it was horrible from the time I pulled into the parking lot until the time I left. It was Unbelievably disgusting to say the least. The parking lot was dirty and congested as I walked to the entrance. The inside of the building was not so clean either and boy was it cluttered. It just wasn't a very pleasant shopping experience. Many of the vendors were stand-offish as I glanced through their products. It appeared they couldn't care less whether they sold anything or not. Well, I just happen to be one that lives by "money is green and I beg no one to take mine." As I observed this I knew this wasn't the flea market for me so I was ready to exit within a few minutes. As I pondered over what makes people so cold, callus, rude and down-right mean I'd pretty much given up hope when one vendor caught my attention by her pleasantries. At this, we began to chat. Come to find out, she lived in my city for years...go figure. We found we share some things in common and enjoyed a great conversation. I ended up purchasing a handbag from her. THIS was the ONLY highlight of my visit and I don't EVER have to return to this place again. I couldn't get to my vehicle soon enough before peeling out of the parking lot and NOT looking back. For me, it was NOT a 'shoppers delight' so I say, "Go at your own risk", your experience may feel/be different, but don't say you haven't been warned! Termine'!!! read more

It's kinda gross -- believe me. But that's part of the twisted fun, I reckon. (John Waters would have a ball here. 'Nuff said.) Go for the people watching -- SERIOUSLY. (Don't go in expecting anything less than a genetic panoply. It's like an episode of "Cops" at times. Expect to see some multiple cases of inbreeding.) A bizarre slumming experience all in all -- think of it as Jerry Springer in a can. There's an odd little grocery/bargain shopping joint inside, as well as a really well stocked cologne counter/shop. There's a pretty good little taqueria in a building in front of the Old Paris building itself that serves up some pretty decent Mexican food, believe it or not. Most of the wares inside the flea market itself? Mexican and Chinese schlock, granted, but there are hidden gems to be found if you look hard enough. (I guess I'm just not desperate enough to want to do this all the time. I tend to visit this place about once every four or five years just for shits and giggles.) It breaks my heart to see the old ponies and burros that they have outside for kiddy rides. (Those poor old animals look so sad, and aren't treated well at all. Breaks my heart.) Just be sure to take along both ample amounts of hand sanitizer and a good sense of humor. You're gonna need 'em. read more

People watching is a blast at this market. There are a variety of vendors selling tools, clothes, toys, electronics, and more. Buyer beware though. Check you prices at reputable stores first as most of these places dont exactly have a warranty or return policy. I have purchased some cheap knives and other items for halloween costumes and saved a bundle. They have some cool 1:18 scale cars in a couple of the shops and some shops have good deals on speakers and boxes. It is not the "safest" place in town. read more

I've been going to Old Paris since I was a kid and have spent quite a bit of money here with no complaints. Idk what the hells happened but the gold jewelry is turning to trash. Last Saturday 4/24 I bought a pair of rope earrings and the next day one of them broke right out of my ear. The place I got them from is claiming they don't look like earrings they sell (even tho I was staring right at them in the glass) and they cant do anything to replace or fix it. They also said "see it says no refunds on the receipt". Well no duh dumbass I want it replaced or fixed since it's been ONE day from buying them. Then he kept saying "ma'am those are not the rope earrings we sell sorry". So I asked then why does my receipt say the name of YOUR booth w/ the item number on the receipt that's on the bag my earrings came in? And he said again "ma'am those are not the rope earrings we sell sorry". Just a bunch of scam artist bullshit! So now I'm out $70 and have one earring I can wear. On Sat 4/17 I bought a medium width rope chain which is on the thick side (starting prices are $325) and last week it started unwinding and falling apart. It didn't break from being pulled or get caught on something it's literally FALLING apart into small tiny pieces ! I went to the booth I bought it from on Sat 4/24 w/ my receipt and asked for an equal replacement. When they finally got something out to offer it was bullshit! It was a short and very thin GOLD PLATED box chain with a $50 price tag on it! I was clearly pissed off so I asked for a manager which of course wasn't there then I asked for a refund since they couldn't give me a proper replacement and have no way of fixing it and both workers just stared at me and said nothing!!! Then they walked off ignoring me and went to a diff customer w/ MY chain still sitting at there counter. I was obviously livid and yelling that they need to make this right bc it's not my fault that there product was horribly made. End of story, no refund or replacement for either one of my items. So I'm extremely pissed off!!! This is just ridiculous. I've tried to talk to the owner or manager or some kind of HR of Old Paris who has yet to call me back. I understand the risk of buying at a flea market but your given a receipt for a reason and there's not been adequate time for there to be "wear and tear" as an excuse for the jewelry just breaking then something needs to be done by the owners of these jewelry places. I'm going to have my chain remade into new chain by a trustworthy jewelry store. These "stores" at the flea market don't take a loss by switching something out bc they can keep what's broken and turn it into something else or fix it. So it made no sense for either one of these jewelry booths not do something about what happened. People are getting ripped off and something needs to change. It's just disgusting but honestly people will continue to flood this place like there giving away free money not taking it from you. read more

If you've ever wondered where you'd need to go to see a donkey eating a churro and to find all your Scarface memorabilia under one roof then ponder no further - its all at OKC's own Old Paris Flea Market! Don't let all of the hatahs with their poor reviews sway your opinion - this is by far the best place for all your shopping needs in Oklahoma! I have been coming to this so-called flea market for years and it only keeps getting better. I've seen and experienced so much here it is hard to distill it in all of its glory to a solo review limiting me to 5001 characters. Upon entering this compound you are immediately struck by the cultural diversity that you encounter. There are Hispanics, African Americans, Asians and Caucasians of all stripes from the average workaday folk to the OG, Narco Trafficer, Honey Boo Boo crowd - all shopping in peace and harmony. During my last trip I was met with the dulcet tones of a Nortena band near a kiddie petting zoo offering rides on miniature horses and donkeys - and I kid you not - the proprietor was hand feeding a cute critter a churro! Now you tell me where you can see something so beautiful? PETA be damned! I've been to the infamous Merced Market in Mexico City that is supposedly one of the world's largest and didn't see anything like that! Inside you won't find the sterile environment of the typical shopping mall with its homogenized chain stores - oh no. Most stalls sell a variety of items but overwhelmingly have a theme; some sell incense, others knock off perfumes, plenty of socks, ninja throwing stars, blowguns, swords and of course every fifth stall is a headshop selling every kind of bong (excuse me, water pipe) known to mankind. And in the far right corner is the anchor store of it all - Poor Paul's. Poor Paul's is like a dollar store, but with even better prices - and who amongst us doesn't need to be a little thrifty at times? At Poor Paul's they have canned food, vitamins, hygiene products and other sundries all so outdated that they are probably petrified and would be a great addition to any doomsday prepper's arsenal. If they don't have it at Poor Paul's then you DON'T need it! After being overwhelmed by all of this merchandise you'll no doubt need a drink and thankfully there's a bar in the back for just such an emergency - and don't worry about finishing it before you leave - take that Tecate with you as you shop! Hell, light up a cigarette as you enjoy your booze and check out the dog wearing a dress - not kidding! And be sure and check out OKC's up and coming rappers 'Lil Mike & Funny Bone who are kicking out jams in the middle of the store. Not only are they two of the nicest guys, they are also both - and how shall I put it (what is the politically correct term these days?) midgets! Ok, I used the dreaded "M" word - well they are diminutive twins, little people - that's it! And they couldn't be nicer. I bought one of their CDs and they were kind enough to autograph it for me!These guys have some videos on YouTube as well and who doesn't like gangsta rap with a local angle, c'mon all you Yelpers, you're dedicated to local so enjoy their raps about busting caps and getting crunk on the periphery of all the areas we all so love to go. To hell with Wayne Coyne, when is the last time he's repped all the hoods in OKC? Thankfully, one of the stalls has everything one needs to decorate their abode in the Scarface motif. Do you need an area rug with Pacino in his coke filled bathtub? How about an enormous wall hanging with stills from the movie and an actual machine gun in a shadow box? Or even better, a touch lamp with "Say hello to my little friend on it?" And to top it off, all of the T-shirts, hats and do rags to match your newly decorated interior? I'm convinced that a certain percentage of the population believes that Scarface is a documentary and who am I to argue when presented with such classy and eclectic Scarface merchandise? Outside is where the real action is and the Mexican fayuca market exists, at least on a small scale. A fayuca market is slang for the black market and I can buy all of the bootleg Nortena CDs that my heart desires. In my Spanish studies I've found the culture of the Narcocorrido, which is like the gangsta rap of Mexico but with a tuba and accordion - extolling the virtues of all the crimes of the drug cartels. My knowledge of Spanish slang has exploded by translating lyrics and every time I go to Old Paris I get to brush up on my Spanish skills. Still not convinced that this is the place to be and be seen? Well, come on out and find out for yourself. Yes, it is a bit sketchy but as they say in Mexico "Solo Se Vive Una Vez." Don't be intimidated, I've walked the mean streets of Ciudad Juarez Mexico many times and this is child's play! Yeah, it's a dirty ass mall. If's not a flea market. It's a large building that houses stuff that fell off the back of a truck. And the truck must've been laden with crack pipes and mattresses, because every third venue is a head shop. The only redeeming value this place holds is there's a dood in the back that sells chameleons, which is awesome. Otherwise wear a full body condom when you go here or your parts will fall off a day later after you touched that fuzzy blue elephant you wanted for your niece. read more

If I lived in OKC, I would come here JUST to people watch! Wow! I've never seen so many interesting people in one place. However, as a tall, attractive blondie, I would definitely bring my big, strong boyfriend with me next time as I did get a few interesting looks. I wasn't that interested in the wares sold at this flea markets, but this is pretty much across the board for me when it comes to flea markets. It was like a big garage sale outside. Wow, I'm suprised noone has reviewed this place yet. One of OKC's handfull of "Dirt Mall's" this location is pretty good if you're out on a Saturday or Sunday morning and need to waste some time or find some of those FUBU knock off's you know you just can't live without. The place does have it's share of pretty good deals from the knive stall right in the front to the body jewlery guy about 50 feet down the isle. They also have a bar in the back so you can order a cold one and sit around and watch the "diverse" crowd of O.G's,mexican cowboys, and dirty kids run around. Not impressed at all and interesting to say the least. I don't consider this a flea market, but rather a discount indoor mall. One word comes to mind and that is R-A-N-D-O-M and that is exactly what types of items you will find here. Not much antiques, except for one booth in the middle ran by a sweet elderly lady. This is definitely a great place to get cheap stuff! It's great if you're poor or low income (like myself). It's good to check the retail price of stuff first. One problem is that set-up of building is very crowded and not handicapped friendly. My mother is wheelchair bound and she struggles very hard to get around. Also, I have to question the legality of some of the products sold have a very "fell of the truck" feel. It's a home to a LOT of knock-off products, but if this isn't a big deal to you than its a great place! Overall, if you are able-bodied and don't care about knock offs, it's good place. I may just be giving it a high rating because its unbelievably nostalgic for me. I went a lot as a kid, and now every time I go to OKC I have to make a stop here. The looks can be a little deceiving but the deals are incredible. They literally have everything. Last time I went I found some awesome cubs memorabilia for $10! They have super cheap knock off perfume. They've got a wide range of name brand shoes for great prices! Seriously, stop by and take a look. I bet you wont leave without buying something! read more

Will ask you to leave if you have anything larger than a medium dog. Even on the outside of the building. If you don't permit dogs, you need to exclude all dogs. Not just the ones you think are too big. Been to this flea market every weekend and this was a first for me. Have yet to find a good deal here either but for me the hunt is the fun. My wife and I went expecting what you normally expect when going to a flea market and what we were met with straight away was sickening poor chihuahua puppies in the middle of a metal cage with no water and no cover from the 100 degree sun, they were being sold by a man who is giving pony rides on a pony that is injured. We felt so bad that we tried to buy them all and he said no because he needs them to breed. Very disappointed and I'm sure that some type of law enforcement would love to have a look at this. read more

This is the best place in Oklahoma City to go people watching. Its second on my list, next to the Oklahoma fair. I've never actually bought anything at Old Paris other than cologne (good prices). The bar in the back is scary (enter at your own risk). There are usually some really nicely dressed Mexican guys walking around in pointy toed boots. This is not a flea market, its more of a place to buy cheap China made goods and if you are a vendor you better watch your stuff close. The management is not nice and can be extremely rude. The bathrooms could be cleaner for sure. If you want to go to a real flea market then go to Marys Swap Meet where you will find treasure loads of cheap useable used items and the management is very nice and kind. read more
