Tried putting me on 3 rxs without bloodwork and this after a perfect treadmill and nuclear scan and imaging. (F/U appt was 3 months post stress test and scans, as well!) Beware the medical system. Luckily i have an advanced degree in a related medical field or i'd feel horrible now from the statins and TG meds. Employees there are horrific examples of healthy people. Staff will not return calls. Been waiting 2 weeks for a call regarding blood work and cath surgery. Called and left messages, because they dont answer the phones. Sent e-mails. You can't contact anyone even if it's an emergency. Worse staff ever. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. I've got to find another cardiologist read more

This is the lowest rating I can provide. I am writing on behalf of our employee who was seen 2 weeks ago and told he had a 75% blockage and referred it as a 'widowmaker'. Told he needed a heart cath. Kept waiting and assuming it was holdup from Insurance. We finally helped and called with him to see why after 2 weeks no heart cath scheduled. Oh, we are just busy and haven't had the time. But now that you called, we willl make the appointment. No care for patients! Terrible! read more

I don't want to give the whole practice a bad review, as I'm sure there are good doctors and some very nice staff there. However, I wish I could give Alisha Houseright in the Elizabethton location a less than one star. Saw her once because I was trying to figure out what is causing palpitations and high blood pressure. She came in like she was angry and spent less than 5 minutes with us. She refused to discuss test results other than "you're fine, even though you want something to be wrong with your heart." We hadn't even had the chance to say anything much less indicate I wanted something to be wrong." She didn't have time to talk about my blood pressure meds or anything else, saying, "you'll have to talk to your primary with any other questions. You don't need to come back here." in a very aggressive, condescending tone. Don't worry, we won't be back because it's a detriment for a sick person to be stressed out by being treated that way! read more

Waited 3 hours to be seen. Exam was 10 minutes the doctor did not do an ekg or touch me at all. Did it listen to my heart I have Afib.

I almost never write reviews, but I have to share with as many as possible how sincerely thankful we are for Dr. Nik and the wonderful staff at Karing Hearts in Johnson City TN, and the wonderful treatment we have received at their hands. Doctors in general come in all ranges of how much they care and how much energy they are willing to dedicate to each of their patients. When we think of maybe the 50 or 60 patients that they have in their hands within a week's time, (I actually I have no idea the number Dr. Nik is treating at any time, that number could be way low), the amount of stress they must bear, wondering if they have done all they can do, and if they have found the right diagnosis and treatment for all kinds of problems that they cannot see inside of our bodies. They also have to have a wonderful bedside manner, or we don't feel that they care. When we think of all they have on their plates, and all of the knowledge that they have available in their heads, we can only be patient and grateful. How many of us can be UP all day long for days on end? Especially when often the news they are delivering is very hard for the patient and their family to hear. Doctors have to rely on test results to get at the cause, and therefore the best remedy for us. This takes time, and at least Dr. Nik sent me for these tests. My 1st heart doctor sent me for an echocardiogram, and declared that nothing more could be done for me, and sent me home with no hope. Dr. Nik was not quick to send me to surgery, and he was working to get me to the position of having the least invasive surgery. Time between tests at Karing Hearts was about 2 weeks, and after each test, it was the following week that I had a meeting with Dr. Nik to find out what was next. How many doctors can you say that about??? I had to wait 2 months to see my first heart doctor for the first visit. Even when I called the Karing Hearts office to make additional appointments, like to check my low blood-pressure, I got an appointment within the next few days. I feel heard! I am extremely grateful for all of Dr. Nik's expertise and caring. My experience is that I am in the best of hands, and I didn't have to go to a major city to get this excellent care. We are sincerely grateful to all of you at Karing Hearts, and especially you, Dr. Nik!!!! And, of course he could not be so good without his wonderful caring nurses! Prior to moving to this ET I was under the care of the premier heart doctor in Lexington/Columbia, SC and was accustomed to 2 and 3 hour wait times. Schoondyke looks me over and says "well, you can have a heart cath or not...up to you". Given my dad and mom both dropped dead at fairly early ages (49 &62) of heart attacks, you'd THINK he would have been all for it. Thankfully, I was and the cath showed such major blockages I had a triple bypass the day after. Turns out he couldn't even put in a stint (at that time)....has to call in a more qualified cardiologist to do it ! Then when I questioned the list of medications he wanted to put me on (side effects of some are scary), he gets mad and says "You'll be dead within 5 years if you don't do this"......that was 7 years ago. Personally, I'd avoid this guy like a bad cold. read more

So I'm not really sure if I had an extremely rare experience or if the other two reviews on here so far are just extremely rare people who no one could ever make happy? I have a little different history than a lot of people, I was in a major accident, spent two months in a coma, woke up with a pacemaker and was informed my heart had not only stopped a few times, had also reach 220 beats per minute at times. So I have had multiple experiences with many different cardiologist all kinds of different attitudes and in all kinds of different states, California, Tennessee, Arizona, etc etc. When I entered the office on a Saturday? Yes they are open on Saturday to accommodate people. When I entered I was a little confused but the lady behind the counter quickly clarified everything for me and made it very simple and easy for me to check in for my first visit. The wait was very short and the person that came to get me was very patient with me since I cannot walk very fast. She took me right in and performed an EKG on me, then actually laughed at a few of my corny jokes. In a very short time Dr. Siv came in and quickly sifted through prior history which is more than complicated to say the least. I used to live in Palm Springs California and was very blessed to be close friends with one of the Premier Thoracic Surgeons in the country, Dr Joseph Wilson, The feeling I got from doctor Siv was identical to the feeling I get from dr. Wilson, who cares and respects patients more than anybody I know. I truly believe that your personal interaction with the doctor is as important to your health as any kind of medicine or the treatment they do. Because your body's ability to heal itself is only encouraged by Your interaction with the doctor. I normally look for places that have a bunch of really good reviews and then you always need one or two reviews with people that don't seem to be happy anywhere they go because that way you know that Hopefully, they won't come back, thereby making your experience at the facility much nicer since you don't have anyone constantly complaining to you about the service while they're sitting in the waiting room. So unless you are planning on going to Palm Springs, and are of such importance that anyone would want to see you, that's probably the only way you'll get a appointment with dr. Wilson, this place is high on my list of recommendations!! read more

I am very disappointed with this practice, it was indicated to management that there was questionable behavior among staff. These are the staff you will entrust your loved ones with. If management doesn't replace and care to give trustworthy staff, do not use this practice, look for another cardiology office. read more

The entire staff is extremely friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in the health of their patients. The level of care they have given my mother is second to none. I would recommend them highly to anyone looking for a cardiologist. read more
