(Never saying who or where, but that there are months long wait lists.) She prescribed a medication that can induce mania. When they returned stating they still felt agitated, she doubled the dosage. After she increased the dose, I was able to help them find a neuropsychologist who diagnosed them as bipolar and recognized symptoms of mania, explaining they would be willing to reach out to their prescriber. After receiving diagnosis, patient called to explain, elaborating that they currently have symptoms of mania and wanted to get in touch with Veronica. The office staff said they would have her call back. Several hours later, the front office called saying Veronica was busy but stated she would not be making any med changes until the full report was released (when it was explained it would be a couple of weeks) and asked the patient to schedule with her TEN DAYS LATER. Not only did she prescribe a medication that can worsen their condition, but she doubled it and didn't even have a nurse call for a quick assessment when it was explained they were experiencing symptoms. Family member was honest about their history including substance use, self destructive behaviors, etc. Veronica does not care for her patients' safety or wellbeing.

However, the office and automated system they are using is unacceptable. The phone is never answered by a live person. Ever. It is only leaving voicemails and text messages as a response. After years of problems, I finally voiced a complaint and was met with a sassy text message once again denying accountability. This is after many times going without my medication and several incidents including charging me out of pocket for the full cost of my appointments for weeks without notifying me that my insurance was no longer accepted. When I attempted to ask for accountability I was blamed as well as blame shifting to MassHealth. I ended up after trying to fight it for weeks on end, paying in full. I was told it was easy and simple, just get compensated by my insurance. I fought them for weeks and over a year later still have not been compensated. The other positive reviews are very old, the company must have changed a lot. Not only is the office incompetent and rude, but there is only street parking. If you can find another option, I highly recommend going elsewhere.

They didn't ! (Thank God!) They do everything they can & I defineately worked hard too ! I'd hate to think what very well may have happened to my child if I didn't have PSYCHOLOGY ASSOCIATES ! I will be ETERNALLY GRATEFUL !! Take care everyone! - Kim G

Has just been rebranded as "Aspire Health Alliance."…read more It took me about two to three months to receive an appointment at this location, as their administration and patient intake would not return my calls and I spoke to a women at one of their locations in person. When I was finally assigned to a client, we played phone tag for another few weeks until we could schedule an appointment. At my first appointment, the administration at the office were all having a great struggle comprehending how to utilize their system. They said that the computers were being "funky" and the woman at the desk kept questioning what she was doing and voicing out loud how she could fix a mistake she made. I passed off my paperwork to her and she did not give me much explanation on it and was confused about one or two simple questions that I had asked. My assigned therapist seemed just as confused, if not more, as to how to enter anything I discussed in to her system. She kept saying "Oops." She seemed to have written some really strange statements, and kept second guessing what I had stated to her. Not to be overly critical, but she did not strike me at first as the brightest individual and held herself with the maturity level of an earlier college student. She seemed very young and I had to question some of the statements lacking insight that she had made and I wondered what sort of health care education she had received. I have relatives that work in health care and I have minimal experience with it myself, but I felt almost immediately that I could have been doing a more efficient job helping myself than her. She recommended that I receive an evaluation at the ER on my third appointment without full comprehension as to my situation. When I asked her a few times, she seemed very confused about how to do any "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy" which is what I was recommended to her for. She largely relied on the computer and by this appointment time, she was still asking me questions from the guided system that she was having issues with and we had never had the opportunity to discuss many things. Her room was a comfortable atmosphere, as she had photos of little kittens, colorful and pastel boards, knick knacks, and posters. However I felt the climate might have been a bit young for some patients. She was very sweet and friendly but did not offer much recommendations other than saying "okay" to my responses for the most part and logging them in the computer. Again, this went on for three full appointments and they charged a $25 co pay each time with my insurance. When she recommended me for eval, I had told her in the prior appointments that I had no intention at all of any harm, multiple times. I had a bad day prior and was having an anxious moment and felt that I needed someone to speak with. Instead of speaking with me and asking me the basic question as to why I was feeling what I was feeling and how to work through it, she insisted that I had to be evaluated. She asked no further questions and offered no further guidance. I was applying to jobs, taking a class, dealing with personal finances, and had moved back home with family for holidays but could not find a position to help me afford moving back out again. I was very busy, and they recommended at Beth Isreal er that I go inpatient to the hospital that I requested as my last option, MacLean. I was open to outpatient and they told me that it was not an option although they had full insight to my stability and situation that I reported would be very unhelpful if they sent me to inpatient because I would be removed from situations that I was trying to solve and would lose potential job opportunities as well as fall behind on work and finances. MacLean held me past the three day notice which they stated that they never offered me upon arrival. While I was there, a worker handling my personal belongings dropped my phone and electronics and laughed but did not apologize. I picked them up myself. I could go in to many further details, but this review mostly covers SSMM/Aspire. When I returned home, SSMM/Aspire scheduled an appointment for me to see a psychiatrist at 9 am shortly after. I showed up to my 9 am, and the woman at the desk swiped my card and said, "Oops I just took your money! She called out sick last night." I told her that she should have checked in the system or had considered before taking action, and that I was never informed that the woman had called out sick the night before. She made a smug faced look at me and said that she knew I was not informed and couldn't schedule me until Valentine's day. With the low quality assistance, support, respect, and irresponsible attention to detail that I experienced, I requested my medical records and reception was very bitter about it. Upon receiving them, I discovered my file to have poor descriptions of the scenario with degrading wording such as "pale" and "thin" patient.

Having severe bipolar, amongst severe mental health diagnoses, it sent me into a mental breakdown, and things happened very quickly, and very badly. Things happened at BID that I barely even remember to this very day. The things I do remember will haunt me forever. It never should have went down the way it did. It was very unprofessional on Julie's part for how she handled a lot of people's emotions, and how she treated her staff. I feel bad for everyone who ever came in contact with her, or that place. Now they charge $140 for a missed appointment. I loved both of my therapists (Kristine and Colin) but had to leave because of Dr Johnson's missed appointment policy. On top of all this, the office staff is VERY rude. If you can, find another mental health center to go to.

I've driven by this location many times in 2018 and 2019, used to have a packed parking lot out front. Now I rarely see anything. Had seen a therapist a few times in 2012 and 2013. I got the run around... therapist cancelled appointment on me by not showing up for my appointment. And this has happened to another one or two people in the past there that I've known via South Bay Mental Health outpatient services. Not surprised to see other review in 2017 about this place. Most people don't want to work there and it shows. Too bad their lack of caring hasn't been improved upon. She was assigned a woman that had just started working there. the woman was said to be able to help my daughter with her trauma and she did not help her. she told her we all have trauma and to get over it and that my daughter did not have PTSD or anything.. everyone has anxiety. which is true, we all have experienced it at some point in our lives. but to live with it day in and day out. its not ok. especially for a child. after the meeting my daughter was referred to a out patient service which it was made very clear what the rules were in my home. And once the therapeutic mentor showed up, and whether it was taken the wrong way or not, there was clear boundary of where anyone could go in my home. and the therapeutic mentor from the way i took it was telling my daughter she could help her with something in the area of our home that was off limits. I personally got up set for a second and asked the mentor to leave my home. then i thought about it thinking she did not know and then i just explained to her why no one was allowed in the area.. so all was forgiven and everyone left. then they called to say they no longer could see my daughter that her problems were to much. I am so sorry that my daughter has a long history of trauma .. that is the job of these people. they are suppose to help people with mental health problems. the only way the therapist in the office would see her again is if she was in school or got a job. (she cant with out a therapist) for at least 2 years and a car.. there was one more thing she said my daughter had to do.. i can not remember what it was. These places only want to see you if you are up set you got a "F" on your test, or your boyfriend broke up with you.. my daughter needs real help, help from someone that can actually help her. If you or a family member has a problem and think that Bayview here or Plymouth can help you.. please beware.. it does not work. they will bill for the block of visits and only see you one or two times and dump you if there is something really wrong. Back to looking for help for my daughter to wait another year before i can get someone to see her.. gotta love how she has to go without treatment because no one there is trained to help her. thank you!

The Therapist herself was alright during the session, but i felt no connection as by the end she suggested to send me to another place for therapy treatment. she charged me for a full hour rather than the half hour i spent there, on her paperwork it says she charges for half hours or One hour sessions. I got charged for a full one for only a half hour, no response back. The place i was sent was very unprofessional and horrifying to say the least, I was told it was a very good place but the fact of the matter is it had nothing to do with therapy and more to do with people with really bad mental issues. The place was dirty , the staff was unkempt and had no knowledge of what they were doing. Then i had to deal with a DSS situation that was found to be completely 100% false by the police / Dss. In fact everything that I had said at the meeting was never told, only lies where told by the place i was sent to (apparently this happens often i found by the DSS there), South Shore Mental Health, Never will i go back to this 64 building as they are nice but very unknowledgeable about where they are sending you.
