Our cat Mia is very timid and hides when there's a knock at the door.She really needed to be groomed but I was worried about her. Everything went well though. Cathy,you are the "cat whisperer". Truly amazing with both of my dogs (Standard Poodle and Cavalier King Charles) The team is loving, kind and careful. They always take their time and are never rushed or overwhelmed by the volume of clients. My Standard used to be terrified to go the box store groomer and shook the whole time, he loves the environment and staff at Karons! If you're looking for a fancy spot this isn't it. If you want a great groom, in a loving environment at affordable prices- Karons is where it's at. I brought my dog there for a shampoo and nail trimming. He was there for 4hrs, keep in mind my dog hates the dryer and always comes out damp. My dog not only came out bone dry but his nails were cut too short which caused bleeding. Im still dealing with his paws. I do not recommend bringing your animals here. And the store front is very sketchy. read more

i bought a puppy for my daughter on Friday I did some google search saw 1/2 good reviews about this shop decided I'd book my puppy there for his first grooming, i got mixed up apparently with my booking thinking I was booked at 10:30 so I got there like 10:15 turns out my app was actually 9, ok that's my fault. however the costomer service was despicable the groomer came to me spoke with a disgusting attitude, instead of politely sayin unfortunately you missed your appointment would you like to rebook , she was very unprofessional in the manner she spoke I didn't even bother explaining I just said np and left if I was treating like that maybe it's a good think my leo missed that appointment smh. definitely will not recommend or return. read more

Very terrible service. First time I brought my cat in they cut his nipple and didn't tell me. Second time I told her to be gentle and was told I was insulting her by saying that...picked my cat up and there was a huge cut down his leg...had to bandage it up...I am concerned for anyone bringing their animal here. read more

I know that the place is not greatest for its appearance, but the groomers here did a wonderful job on my 10 year old dog. I informed them about here not liking the blow dryer so the dried naturally despite that this meant that my dog would not be ready until after close. They were absolutely wonder with my dog, I will be bring back my dog again to be groomed. read more

Great place to have your dog groomed. Qualified personable and professional groomers with reasonable rates. They make your dog beautiful.

I don't have a particular complaint against this dog grooming service. However I would not recommend it if your dog Is high maintenance. They are a little lacking in this area. We once picked up our dog with everything shaved except his head. He looked ridiculous. We now take him to Superdogs in Courtice and we have never had any issues there. read more

The staff were very friendly and personable, I felt comfortable leaving my Yorkie there. I was unimpressed with the grooming job they did. I asked them specifically to take care of the matted hair on top of her head. Instead of trimming or combing it, they tied a bow around the matted fur. (it wasn't until a couple days later when the bow began to fall out that I noticed her fur was still, if not more, matted than when I brought her in.) I don't understand how a 6lb puppy would take 5 full hours to groom, especially when it was a job not well-done. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! This is the most dirty and unprofessional place I have ever seen! Tons of people & Little kids screaming in the back, a blanket hanging over the doorway so you can't see behind where the dogs go. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN! I took my 11 Year old (Jack-a-Pooh) dog here to be groomed, walking in I was very unsure of leaving him there, but unfortunately I did. When I called to book his appointment I was told I needed to leave him there for a minimum of 3 hours to be groomed!? When I arrived to pick him up noticed he had a limp, I asked and the lady's and they assured me he was fine nothing had happened while with them and he must have been sitting funny when getting clipped. That night I had noticed he was still limping. Long story short, after they denied anything happened to him in their care I took him to the vet and he sever strains to his mussels in his lag! This should have NEVER happened! Especially to a senior dog!!!! Do not take your animals here! & to too it off his hair cut looked ridiculous! (Not even worth a star) read more

I brought my dog in to get a wash, de-shedding, nails clipped, ears cleaned, basically everything. They took approximately 6 hours to do everything, which I find completely ridiculous! Not only that, when I went to pick her up, her nails were barely trimmed and she was still shedding! Soon as I walked out of the store with her she had the LONGEST pee ever and had to poop as well. I don't think they took her out once to use the washroom that whole time. Not only that, when I brought her home she immediately drank a tone of water and was very hyper for at least 4 hours! I do not recommend this place for anyone. If you love your animals please don't bring them there. I truly think they don't care what they do, and the fact my dog was not taking out to pee concerns me. It makes me feel my dog was abused. They were also over priced considering they did the worst grooming job I have ever seen! Waste of money, never again! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS GROOMER!! I brought my Westie in for a "Westie cut". My first impression was not a great on since the place in a hole in the wall. It had the strong smell of dog but I figured maybe this was normal for a groom shop (we have always had our dogs groomed by a licensed groomer in home) The girl at the counter seemed very friendly and professional. Asking me questions how I wanted him groomed and she took notes. Anyways, they told me 3-4 hours until I could pick him up.???? What? Thats ridiculous! I should have walked away right there. Anyways, I called at 4 hours and was told a half hour he would be ready. When I got there, I paid before bringing him out to us. I saw him locked in a kennel on a table and was shocked to see how short his fur was. I asked how he was. The girl said he was vocal and made some weird noises (which my dog does..he talks so to say) I laughed thinking that was a good sign that he was happy. Then she said " We have a quiet room and we just put him in there, it doesn't bother us,we can't hear them" I was horrified. :( But I kept a smile on face just wanting to see my dog. So they brought him out and he was cut very short in the face. Nothing like it should have been. Never the less, I was happy to see my baby so we took him and left. When I got home I took a closer look at him. He looked ridiculous. His face was cut way too short and they totally cut his chin fur down. Not what a Westie is suppose to have. His longer side fur was left so long and looked silly in comparison to his head. His tail was shaved instead of clipped into a carrot shape and his ears were shaved and I specifically asked to have them left shaggy on the sides to add to the fullness in the face. He was supposed to be tipped, which means the tips of the ears are shaved short. I also question if he was let out to the bathroom in that time for the second we got out of the car he made it 5 feet before pooping on our stone walkway. This is not like my dog at all! He is always very particular when he does his business and never on a hard surface. :( I called them to voice my concerns, I wasn't even able to finish when the groomer cut me off and said in a tone, "If you want your money back, come and get it" So, I obviously said OK, I went and picked up my refund plus tip and tried again to apologize and say that I was originally just calling to express my complaint and to ask for his sides be re-done to match his head. I got "Sorry" out before I was handed my cash. So, I left with my money. I will NEVER go back there and will be sure to tell anyone I know not to go to this establishment. Even with the refund, the end result is poor. My dog looks ridiculous and the staff were rude when i tried to express my complaint. read more
