I have never been treated so rudely by supposed medical professionals in my life! I believe I…read morecaught pneumonia from my student but when I was examined by Karri Burgner she treated me like garbage. She repeatedly interrupted me, answered the questions herself and then marked down her response as my response. Is that medical science? When I asked the office manager Rhonda that very question she looked bewildered and became belligerent instead of answering a legitimate question from a sick patient. Regarding Rhonda the office manager it states on the website: "She is always available to discuss any patient concerns." That is a lie! If you are looking for medical professionals look elsewhere! Not a good experience! I had seen Karri once before, and set an appt for annual "wellness checkup"…read more Since the initial visit consisted of a 5-10 minute discussion about how I felt (no real exam or tests done) I thought it might make sence to get a blood panel done before the appt so we could discuss the results (cholesterol and PSA etc). I called and was told NO......Kerri would order this After the appt?? I asked them to reconsider since I am leaving the country for 2 moths days after the appt so it would be useless at that point.....again, sorry but NO?? Well I called my HMO (Alingment Health) and a very nice person there said there is no reason I should not be able to get blood panel done before my appt, so he called them (Peavine family practice) and he was also told NO!! He came back on the line and suggested i switch my primary care physician, stating "they refused the request and were very unprofessional in how they spoke to him!! I guess if you just want to just "follow instructions", this practice might be fine for you, but I thought going to the doctor was supposed to be about the patient.....and if you feel the same way.....don't go here!!

I have been a patient of Janice Bryan, a Nurse Practitioner at Renown Medical Group, for 5 years. I…read morehave always been a fan of Nurse Practitioners as they seem to have more time to spend with their patients and more focus on teaching. Janice has these traits. Being a Renown Medical Group patient for 5 years, I have had the opportunity to visit each year for my physical and various other ailments. Janice always answers my questions, will listen to what I think is right for my own care and give me constructive criticism if she disagrees with me when I'm practicing "internet medicine". I like the fact that I can view my medical record online and if I have a question or need to renew a routine medication, I can use the email feature on their program "mychart". I feel that Janice practices quality, thorough medicine but also keeps the big picture in mind with keeping healthcare costs down. By viewing my medical record, I know that routine preventative medicine is followed and I know when to expect my next upcoming test. Janice has made appropriate referrals are made to other doctors when needed and I feel that the Janice and the other specialists work as a team when addressing my healthcare needs. I am happy with my overall health maintenance. The receptionist and nurses/assistants are very nice and I like that they ask if you've been out of the country in the past 90 days. This shows me that questions are thorough and detail and nothing is missed. I was recently seen for bronchitis and had to use the urgent care. The PA there performed a chest xr ay and had placed me on some antibiotics and other medications. After finishing the first course of medications, I still had not gotten better and went to see Renown Medical Group where I was placed on another course of medications. I felt that everyone was informed of my care. They also knew my allergies. I was assured that everything was ruled out and the continuity of care was smooth.

My experience with Alma Clinic is a little different as I am not a patient there but was a student…read morenurse practitioner during the fall of 2020 and spring of 2021. As you can imagine, going through school during the COVID-19 pandemic was extremely difficult, I could not find anyone who was willing to take on a student and was behind in my clinical hours, I was fearful that I would not graduate on time. Someone recommended that I contact the Alma Clinic and meet with Sonia, the nurse practitioner there and I arranged the meeting. My impression of Sonia was that she was kind and wanting to help me in any way that she could. I could see that she was busy with her practice but she was willing to give me as many hours as I needed so that I could graduate on time. Over the coming months, I spent a lot of time with her; learning from her, observing her with her patients and I was very impressed. She loves her patients and works very hard to accommodate them and all of their needs. Sonia and her team are very invested in the best outcomes for their patients and truly making a difference in our community. Early on, I could tell that she has a heart for our large hispanic community that is often underserved and I loved that she has founded her clinic on helping others and making a difference. I would highly recommend the Alma Clinic for anyone looking for primary care in the Reno/Sparks area as well as any nurse practitioner students looking for an amazing resource and mentor during their studies. The Alma Clinic is extremely professional, clean, and welcoming and I guarantee you will get the best of care because I observed it.

Well my husband got hurt he no longer work so I no longer can afford the program I contacted her. She told me I could get a refund. I didn't even start the program. It's my money did not receive any help. Any services from them. Do not go to this place. They just take your money they don't care if you can't afford it you wanted me to pay $7000 for my six month program which I could not afford and I asked for a refund they refused. They have no compassion. They gave me a couple of recipes that I was allergic to. Please don't go here for your best interest, don't don't go here you're wasting your money because you stole mine.
