The intake personnel all seem tired, curt, beaten down by constant stress. No one smiles, none want to talk beyond the required information gathering. Triage into the medical side was somewhat better. The nursing assistants, Emergency department techs were more engaged. I did not see a Registered Nurse. Everyone was efficient, getting the job done with minimal fuss. The doctor saw me after a 15 minute wait. For an emergency department that is record fast time. He was cheerful, competent, helpful and was willing to have a converstion rather than dictate orders. We cooperatively agreed on a care plan. (It helped that I have a Master's degree in Public Health). My total time for the visit was 90 minutes. Got the medications I needed. 36 hours later I am starting to recover, though I still feel kind'a crappy (Pun intended).

He has canceled 3 scheduled annual physicals in the time he was my daughters' doctor. Do not go with this doctor as you will never be able to see him and there is a completely lack of respect for a patient's time. Christopher Cox showed no compassion or empathy the moment he walked in. His assistant told us that we need to get his discharge weight from dignity health as they didn't have this information. So I called dignity health right away trying to get this information even though they should be the ones communicating with dignity health to get this. I wasn't told to bring any kind of information when I set up the appointment either. Mind you that our newborn is 4 days old and my wife just had a c-section and we're both running on no sleep. Christopher Cox walks in without a smile almost like he's annoyed that I'm on the phone. I explain to him that I'm trying to get his discharge weight. I'm hectically on the phone and trying to listen to him at the same time and I eventually get the information. I put the phone on speaker so he can hear the weight. The moment I do that he gruntled to himself "why do people always do this?" Referring to me putting the phone on speaker. Then he gets mad because she says the weight in kilograms instead of pounds and then after all that, tells me we don't need this information and blames his assistant for even asking us to get the discharge weight. He then says he only needs the weight at birth even though my wife and I both gave him and the assistant the weight at birth the moment he walked into the room. He also was annoyed that we didn't give him his hepatitis B vaccine at birth (waiting for the 2 month period to give him this) and told us the state of California bothers him whenever his patients don't get this vaccine. Him and his staff all just seem like they don't want to be there. Also, it's a little understandable if the office was super busy, but it was dead and we were literally the only people in the office then. If you want a pediatrician who shows empathy and is enthusiastic to work with children, trust me do not go here!

I called to reschedule bc my babysitter cancelled and was told to go ahead and come in and the verbiage the front desk used was "we will figure it out" well as someone who used to be a dental office manager I would watch children while people had a root canal or other service. I come in after getting my child in the car which is such a fight because of transitions and his autism and he's 3... I get there and wait about 10 minutes and then someone comes and tells me sorry we can't take out your nexplanon with your autistic child here. ok cool but I called!! I asked!! I explained!! I offered to reschedule!!! so then I'm crying and they're like what can we do? I said nothing like I'm going to sit here while my child is now upset we're leaving and try getting them into their car seat and I'm going to cry alone thanks. honestly the lady at the front desk should have been in trouble for that. she admitted she told me to come in anyway with my child. it's too hard to get a new patient appointment anywhere else and I'm established here so I will go back but I'm very unhappy with the front desk.

My husband and I always go to appointments for our children with a flurry of questions. She never makes us feel stupid for asking. She thoroughly and clearly answers each one. Our 3 children (2 girls and a boy) have been with Sutter Pediatrics since 2009. Our first…read morepediatrician, Dr. Koch was excellent but had to retire. We were then assigned to Dr. Corp - that year was the worst for our children. Luckily, we were referred to Dr. Gill. From the first time we met the good doctor, my wife and I felt a sense of calm. More importantly, he immediately made our children feel at ease. During appointments, our wait times have been substantially shorter compared to other doctors and we've never felt rushed when he checks on our kids. He's very thorough and is a genuinely caring person. To top it off, our son E is about to attend Kindergarten and his school requested that a Health Assessment be filled out. It usually takes 5-7 days, per Sutter Admin; it took Dr. Gill a couple of hours :) Oh and his assistants Tigi and Kelly are the best too! If Dr. Gill has an open spot in his practice, don't hesitate to go for it. Your children will be in good hands.

Whenever I go here, they never take me seriously for whatever reason. They use the name "Sutter" to…read moremake ot seem like they are a community when they are far from it. Intentionally misleading and false advertisement. I wish I could switch to Kaiser, but I have no idea if my insurance will let me. I also could have sued them, had I had the money to. I had gone to the ER with my debit card, EBT card, and ID card. I had them all in my wallet, and when I got to a room, a security guard handed me my wallet back, empty. (?!?!) I was told by a nurse that "Theres a new protocall, they take patients valuables who are seen for a 5150 to prevent identity theft." Well she was lying through her teeth, because on the way to a diffrent facility, I noticed I still wasn't given back my cards. So a week passes of being at a diffrent facility, and I get discharged home, still with no ID, Debit card, or EBT card. No way to provide myself with food or anything I needed. I come back to Sutter, I ask them about it and they try to convince me that the facility I went to has my cards. I knew they didnt, but just to prove I was not wrong like they wanted to convince me I was, I called them. They checked everywhere and didnt have it. It was clearly their fault, so now they are checking "everywhere they can" (more lies) to find it. After four hours of waiting to get my stuff back, a security guard and a police officer walk up to me. They tell me to leave the premises, or I will be charged with trespassing and arrested. Yeah! They said they will arrest ME after THEY won't give me back my property. I said "Fine, arrest me" because I knew they were in the wrong and not me, but my freind had told me I have to leave because I don't want to go to jail. This should have been the end of things, but I'm LITERALLY WALKING TO MY FREINDS CAR, and we are arguing but WERE STILL WALKING TO THE CAR and the police and security follow us out there and repeat what the told us the first time, and added "Its really not hard to leave." I wish I could have gotten arrested to show a judge that I wasn't in the wrong, but whatever. I left, and ever since then, sutter hospital has treated me like hot, stinking garbage. After what THEY did to ME. I eventually had to just reorder all the cards and be stuck with no access to any money for a while. I would sue the socks off these people if I had the money to.
