Big mistake. The canzone was over-cooked - almost broke a tooth biting into it. Asked for extra cheese and got almost none. French Fries were very salty (and I love salt) and hard as a rock. Guess I'll find something else for dinner. read more

Giving me the ick. Hasn't been renovated since the 60s, but sometimes these hole in the wall places have the best food. But I was sorely mistaken. Cold, previously frozen mozzarella sticks to start. Blah. Ordered a large cheese pizza and chicken parm calzone. Pizza was flavorless and rubbery. The chicken parm calzone was good, more edible at least. What is not okay is that the prices on the menu are wrong. I understand needing to increase prices due to inflation, covid, ect. but you need to make your customers aware. We go to Kastore on a weekly basis and the reason we go is that the food is amazing. Best pizza around with daily specials and deals. The staff is so nice to everyone ! It's all very clean .It has a full bar to sit at and also indoor seating area. The owner made us a Butter Chicken pizza that was the most delicious pizza we have ever had. Well I have been getting buffalo tenders here for a while because they are absolutely delicious. But today I got another order and I'm not sure what's going on with this place these look nothing like the other chicken buffalo tenders that I've gotten there before these look like they were leftover for someone's meal and then dipped in buffalo sauce these are not deep-fried like they usually are. You had me at Greek but then left me wanting more. I was a little disappointed that for a Greek restaurant the Greek meals are just okay. I ordered the Mousaka and while it was good it was not anything more than that. I probably wouldn't pay that much to get it again ($14) came with iceberg salad and rice a roni basically. My brother lives near this place, and we go here a lot. I think he eats here with his wife like once a week. Solid place. I think you pronounce it "ka-stor-ay", but we call it "K-Store". BEST BUFFALO CHICKEN FINGERS EVER!!!! In case you missed it they have the best buffalo chicken fingers around. I'm not sure if it's something to do with the batter battery mix or something but all in all they have the best buffalo chicken fingers if you add them to a Caesar salad you'll fall in love. I've gotten pizza pasta and more from this facility and every time it's a little better than the other pizza place. I'm giving four stars because to me this place is above average the food is really good the staff seems friendly but they changed my favorite calzone which would've got them five. Let me tell you my story about the calzones every Friday my work would go here and I will get a large pepperoni calzone the head more pepperoni and most delis. Until one sad day the pepperoni calzone as I knew it was no more. They have changed their process in the way of making calzones that took away what made them stand out in my opinion. In the end this is a great place the food is really good always warm even if it's delivered. If you haven't tried this restaurant you're truly missing out. read more

Wondering if Kastore's has new management or service workers after Covid? A friend was picking up my first Caesar salad with sirloin tips in over a year. I was so looking forward to it, it has always been my go to item on their menu. I was so disappointed. The tips, medium rare, were overcooked, dry and as a result pretty tough. The salad was far from a knockout and my usual leftovers for the next day ended up in the trash. And to add insult to injury, it didn't come with the pita bread. Two stars is giving them the benefit of the doubt after this past year but I will be hesitant to go back. read more

The chicken gyros was burnt to the point of being uneatable and the and extremely dry. I think they must have microwaved the chicken. The gyro is perfect in almost every way, and they're happy to add extra sauce if like me you want to bathe in that sh*t. Love Kastores! Great club sandwiches at excellent prices. The side orders are good. The mozzerella sticks are a personal favorite. The pizzas are not great. The crust is clearly pre-made. That is a shame because the toppings are fresh. We've also had the fried clams and fried fish. The portions were generous and everything was hot and crispy. Delivery and pick up are always ready on time. Seriously though, get the club sandwiches! So worth it! read more

I live near this place so I'm there about once a month if not more. I get takeout 90% of the time. I typically get the Greek salad with chicken. Their chicken is ridiculously delicious but they only use iceburg lettuce :( The portions are generous. Service has always been good. Food is always fresh and the place always looks clean. We went there on a late Sunday after noon. The place was pretty quiet so I was a little skeptical on the service we were going to receive. We gave it a shot....we ordered three different meals and waited....all meals were excellent and delivered in a fair amount of time. We got a pizza, buffalo chicken sandwich and a Caesar wrap. 3.5 in my book.... Consistant.... We go here on average every other week. We get the same thing each time...pita pizza and greek chicken wrap. I am happy staying with that selection. Varied from it a few times and I was disappointed. We never go in the no window, basement looking, keno playing regulars, bar area. I wish there was more decor and not so sterile. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. We were told it would be 20-30 min, but it took over an hour for the dinner to arrive(this is the second time in a row for this time delay). When it did finally arrive the dinner was cold, and there was no sauce in it at all. We obviously did not pay a tip to the delivery driver. We tried to call the restaurant itself, and then were promptly put on hold to wait for a manager. When the manager did finally come to the phone we decided not to bother talking to them. The only thing that would come of it would be a credit for a restaurant we won't be ordering from again. If it were possible to give negative stars, we would. I don't love the pizza, it's ok, but my girlfriend says it's her favorite, so who knows, as they say, there is no accounting for taste. However there is one thing that you won't find on their menu that sets them apart from the rest of the local pizza delivery shop crowd. It's their chocolate chip cookies. They are freshly made daily IN THEIR PIZZA OVENS. You read that right. They typically sell out daily. I never make an order without getting at least two. They are just amazing. HUGE chunks of chocolate, and SO fresh. Pop those bad boys in the microwave for 30ish seconds and you are going to be in cookie heaven. EAT THEM. read more

Besides the bar and the one friendly waitress there is no reason anyone would want to go back there. Menu is generic, food is over priced for the the poor quality and gross taste. When I lived in the North East, I lived on a steady diet of Kastore's Pizza and subs. They make one of the best veggie pies I think I've ever had and they are incredibly reasonably priced. Our family gets take out from here at least once a week. Their food is delicious and priced perfectly. Great mix of American-Greek food. My favorite is their steak tips. Used to like them, until they made changes I started coming here years ago and liked the veal parm sub and french fries, until they changed them, then changed them back and I started going again- then changed them again, and I stopped going I suppose maybe I have a weird preference but I like the french fries that are smooth on the outside not the ragged ones. I have tried this place several times since moving to the area. The chicken kabob dinner was excellent. Flavorful chicken, fluffy rice, and a side salad. But they put this weird tomato stuff on the rice. My sister liked it, but I didn't like it at all. Parmesan salad dressing was very good. I've also tried the tuna. It was good, but has too many herbs in it for my taste. I'm only giving it 3 stars, because the guy who answered the phone when I called to place my delivery order, was really rude. I repeated my address 4 times, before he huffed and handed the phone to someone else, who got it the first time I said it to her. I have been meaning to post a glowing review of Kastore for some time now. I don't typically post reviews of local establishments but I feel strongly enough about Kastore and its management/owners to do so. I have a very large extended family and we have been planning monthly dinner dates here for over a year now. The food is always incredible. We are self-proclaimed seafood connoisseurs and this place has the freshest seafood in Chelmsford. But it's the service and accommodations that keep us coming back. We are treated like family here (even when the kids are screaming and running around like monsters...sorry, guys.). We are waited on by the best in the business at Kastore and we leave feeling like royalty. As much as I'd love to keep this place all to myself, I have to share the love. I am writing because my whole family adores the servers, cooks, and management here and we want to encourage everyone to give this place a shot. It's the perfect neighborhood pizza/sub/seafood/Greek restaurant, it serves booze, and it's clean, casual, and so comfortable. Thank you Kastore!
